This was a chapter intended to continue the Solomon family story. Father, a bank robber killed robbing the bank in BG. Teddy, the brother escaped, went home but was no help to their mother and she died before Ray arrived after a long search.

This was one of AJ's characters who was becoming involved with Gyn at the cafe.

Tiddly knocked on the jailhouse door

"Hey, Sheriff better come have a look."

3Gun hollered back, "What for?"

The mention of a name was all it took

The rider swung down from his tired mount

Tied it to the rail and shook the dust from his clothes

He'd been gone too many days to count

And his face was a picture of empty echoes

"Ray Solomon, you did come back."

He shook 3Gun's hand and gave a tired smile

Tiddly helped him with his tack

"It really has bin quite a while."

"I know someone who'll be mighty pleased."

Ray glanced at the diner but nothing was said

"You gonna go see her?" 3Gun teased.

"Maybe later, right now I want bed."

Morning and Ray was at a table in the cafe

An excited Gyn plying him with food

'C'mon, Ray what happened. Please say!"

His face went dark. "Nothing good."

His brother Teddy had been back

And broke his mother's heart

By the time Ray arrived back home

He'd missed his mom's depart
