This was an idea that never was floated beyond a couple of comments after the character of Harriet first appeared. It was the original intention of introducing her but like many ideas it kind of withered on the drawing board.

Time needed to be committed to make it run smoothly and we were all involved in other interests. And so, it holds a place of fond memory among these other orphan pieces.

WELCOME to the Busted Gulch Book Review Lottery

The Gulch has a new librarian in town and she's presenting this lottery to get you folks interested in all the material fillin' our shelves. How does she do this you ask? By the way, her name is, Miss Harriet Folio and this is her plan.

Authors will submit their username only, in the comment section at the end of the ENTRIES chapter. (eq - @bflbub)

Each name will be assigned a number as it is received. There will be 50 entries only at which time the lottery will close and the lucky entrant will be selected by a random number generator.

The winner may submit one book for a review. English only. We will read the first three chapters (no prologues, author's notes or material contravening Wattpad's rules.) Harriet retains the right to refuse stories that are considered unsuitable for inclusion in her library.

Review will try to take no longer than 1(one) BUSINESS week. Sound like it's worth a whirl? You bet. No forms to fill out, no tags necessary to play, just your user name.

REQUIREMENTS

Okay, now the fun part. All lotteries cost something so here is the catch. This book should be added to your reading list to receive notifications and you must follow @storytellers-saloon. Not a big ask so far, right?

Lottery winner must agree to read at least the current chapter, of the current volume of Busted Gulch and all the comments attached - located in @storytellers-saloon. Not a big deal, eh? The chapters are really short and they are all poetry in form. The comments are a hoot.

Now the big part. Winner must comment on what they read through a shout out on their site along with an opinion of their book's review. This is all based on two-way trust so if either side fails to fulfill the requirements they become fair game. And the law enforcement in Busted Gulch is a team to be reckoned with.
