(Y/n) Pov

"I can't believe that time has went by so quickly, and yet after all that time I notice some minor differences with my physical skills as they put it whether it's stamina, or actual physical strength, etc., honestly they almost make it sound like a video game, but anyway here I am at Kouryou Academy something about this place feels off then again according to the entracne pamphlet that I took after I achieved my blaze, that the Dawn Institution founded the academy with Sakuya Tsukumo who is a genetic engineer partakes in their research, and if I was a betting person I would say that includes the Luciful...I wonder if that means we're just her experimental toys?"

Scarlet:"Hey! (Y/n)!"

"I was taken out of my thoughts as I look to my side and see Scarlet looking at me pouting."

(Y/n):"*Pulls our earbuds* Sorry?"

Scarlet:"Do you even know why your apologizing?"

(Y/n):"No."

Scarlet:"You were spacing out again!"

(Y/n):"Oh...Well..now I'm sorry."

Scarlet:"*Sighs* Sooo?"

(Y/n):"Sooo..what?"

Scarlet:"How are you feeling?"

(Y/n):"I mean I guess I'm a little nervous, but I'll live."

Scarlet:"Really? You always look so calm."

(Y/n):"*Slightly smiles* Maybe I just have a natural poker face."

Scarlet:"*Pushes my arm* Your such a goof."

(Y/n):"Says you. But how are you feeling?"

Scarlet:"I feel excited!!.....and slightly nervous not gonna lie.."

(Y/n):"Well I know you'll fit in well..you have a open and friendly air. Plus you work hard too."

Scarlet:"Mmhmm! Especially since our physical skills, and abilities have increased!"

(Y/n):"Well along with everyone else so in a way we're just as normal as any other student here."

Scarlet:"Well..in a way, but come on in a way we're like super humans! Even the cool name Exceeds!? You can't tell me that isn't cool?!"

(Y/n):"I suppose..(It would be if it wasn't for that girl and the others...)"

Scarlet:"Aww come on think of like this, we can become actual peacekeepers! Heroes of Justice!!"

(Y/n):"Hmm..I guess when you put it like that I guess that doesn't sound so bad."

Scarlet:"Right?!"

(Y/n):"Heh.."

"Once we got to the gate we looked at each other and nodded before walking in the school grounds, with me looking around just enjoying the scenery, until Scarlet spoke up."

Scarlet:"I wonder what they have in store for us?"

(Y/n):"Not sure.(It's a combat school and knowing that brat she'll be tossing some kind of curveball to throw us off.)"

Scarlet:"Hey! Look! Is that who I think it is?"

(Y/n):"Who?"

Scarlet:"It's...Its Imari!! IMARI!!!"

"I look a bit closer and see it is Imari, she's looks like she's been doing well over the years considering we went to different highschools so yeah. She turns around and sees Scarlet waving at her which after a few more seconds her eyes widen and says something to the brown hair boy with him nodding and walking away, only to run over to us smiling and once she got close enough the two embrace in a quick hug only to let go and look at each other."

Imari:"Oh my god! Scarlet! (Y/n)! It's been so long! How have you two been?!"

Scarlet:"Well we-"

"Attention the opening ceremony will begin in ten minutes near by students please gather near the assembly hall."

Scarlet:"Well we can talk on the way let's go!"

Imari:"Right come on (Y/n)!"

(Y/n):"Coming.(Well it's nice to see a familiar face. Though I wonder who that brown hair boy was??)"

"Once we got to the entrance ceremony most of not all the seats were taken luckily I got to sit behind Scarlet and Imari with me pulling out my phone and just when I was about to look down hear Scarlet call out to me."

Scarlet:"(Y/n)!"

(Y/n):"*Looks up*Hmmm??"

Scarlet:"Look who it is?!"

???:"Ahem..Excuse me, but could you please lower your voice."

Scarlet:"Ahh sorry!"

???:"It's fine. Just try not to make it a habit."

Scarlet:"*Whispers* Anyway look over there."

"I look over to the side and become somewhat shocked to see Teach?! He noticed me staring at him causing the guy to grin while giving two peace signs up, only to get back to acting professional as footsteps began echoing throughout the room and once that person got on stage I wasn't surprised who it was, the brat herself Sakuya Tsukumo which only meant chaos is bound to happen."

Sakuya:"I want to personally welcome each and everyone to Kouryou Academy I am Sakuya Tsukumo the head mistress of this institution. Congratulations for making it here to start things off by beginning our traditional screening rite first take note of the person standing in beside you because he/she will become your partner."

"I look to see to my left to see a girl with blonde hair giving me a cheerful smile."

Girl:"I guess we're partners. Glad to be working along side you."

(Y/n):"*Nods* Hmm...(Partners....I'm not use or rather not to keen when it comes to working with others so suddenly..)"

Sakuya:"When I give the signal you are all to rise and begin battling your partner."

"There it is, and just like that everyone went from confused to panicked and concerned as some were complaining saying that most got in through acceptance letters, etc and I can't blame them, but then again this is a combat academy so it's not all that surprising."

Sakuya:"Also if your battle is not over within ten minutes both you and your partner will be disqualified."

Imari:"Headmistress!!"

Sakuya:"Yes you over there.."

Imari:"Don't you think this all a bit extreme? Just because we lost a battle?!"

Sakuya:"If you can't even pass a simple entrance exam then in all honesty you don't belong here."

(Y/n):"(So says the dwarf..)"

Sakuya:"The purpose of this test and that of Kouryou Academy is to teach you all how to survive based on one rule. You must defeat others in order to survive."

(Y/n):"(So to get stronger...)"

Imari:"Yes, but this is just our first day!"

Sakuya:"You all will be thrown into battle and what better way than to fight against each other? You must have known when you've grown interest in this academy."

Sakuya:"Now do battle!! You are heavens chosen children! Use your blaze to prove that "YOU" are worthy of being excepted!!"

(Y/n):"(If this is how it has to be then so be it.) Blaze on!!"

(Y/n)'s Blaze Weapon

"As I summoned my blaze my partner did the same and summoned hers as well which was a spear and we began battling with her trying to stab me by thrusting her spear a lot only for me to dodge every one, with me parrying her last thrust causing her to stumble a bit as I used this opening chance to strike up which managed to connect as it sent her flying back a bit knocking a few chairs away in the process. I almost thought I was done only to see the girl slowly stand up, I have to hand it to this girl that she's determined to keep going however that doesn't mean I'm going to let up either."

Blonde Girl:"I-I can't give up now!"

(Y/n):"Neither will I."

"She charged at me with her looking like she's about to swing her spear only to jump up in the air high and begins diving towards where I am at and at a fast rate, with me moving out just in time as she stabbed the ground causing a lot of cracks to appear. Once she pulled her spear out of the ground I began rushing towards her only for her to start front twirling and back twirling which prompted me to block her attacks with a few managing to hit me. I continued to remain on guard until I backed away and was about to strike which caused her to remain defensive and once I clashed my great sword with her spear she fell on to one knee, as I was about to strike again she thrusted one last time with me dodging at a split second with me spinning my body and smacking her with the flat part of my blade sending her skidding across the ground a bit causing her to become unresponsive meaning she is unable to fight which means I won this special entrance ceremony."

Scarlet Pov

"I was looking at (Y/n) as he was able to win which caused me to smile, but I have to focus on the fight with Imari as we had clash with my double bladed sword, and her sword with us pushing away from each other."

Scarlet's Weapon (It can disconnect to become two swords.)

Imari:"Not bad Scarlet."

Scarlet:"Heh same to you Imari I honestly wish we didn't have our entrances to stake this fight on cause I really would have loved to spar with you a lot."

Imari:"*Smiles* Same here Scarlet so please come at me with everything you have!"

Scarlet:"*Smiles as well* Same goes for you Imari!"

"We rushed at each other with Imari attempting the first strike by thrusting forward with me barely dodging it, with me taking this chance to strike Imari as I jump in the air and toss my double bladed sword at Imari with her turning around and dodging the attack with the end blade digging in the ground with me landing right next to my double bladed sword and pull it out of the floor with looking at Imari who was looking at me with her weapon in her hands ready as she comes at me with me as raises her sword and lunges at me, causing me to react quickly by disconnecting my double bladed sword and turning it into dual blades and blocking the attack with me managing to push away Imari giving me the opportunity to deliver a few hits in, which was a success as she began stumbling back a bit."

Scarlet:"(Alright I need to make this one count!)"

"As I charge at Imari I reconnect my dual blades turning it back into a double bladed sword and was about to finish Imari off, that is until at the very last second she slashes upwards knocking my weapon out of my hand and hitting me on my right shoulder causing me to fall onto one knee while gripping my shoulder."

Scarlet:"Heh not bad Imari.(So I lost huh...?)"

Imari:"Same to you Scarlet."

Sakuya:"Times up! As I said before only the victor will be granted entrance. However I will leave you these parting words..for the victors who won, congratulations you may you and everyone else reach Absolute Duo."

- - - - - Timeskip with Scarlet and (Y/n) taking a nap while leaving the TV on- - - - - -

"Me, (Y/n), and Scarlet were standing outside while the other students were walking away out of the academy with some being disappointed that they didn't make it, I understand what they're feeling as I'm a bit saddened as well, but I have to stay positive for both (Y/n) and Imari!"

Imari:"You know..It's kinda of surprising.."

Scarlet:"With what?"

Imari:"That even after all this fighting that no one was seriously injured.."

Scarlet:"Well that's because of our blazes right?"

(Y/n):"Yep. Something about using our souls, so in a nutshell our bodies will still be fine."

Imari:"Oohhh that makes sense..."

Scarlet:"Well...I guess I should get going, but (Y/n) and Imari stay safe. I know whatever is waiting for you out there is going to be rough, but you two have to stay positive even when times are difficult!"

Imari:"Don't worry we will!"

(Y/n):"*Nods sadly*"

Scarlet:"*Grabs (Y/n)'s hands* Hey!"

(Y/n):"!!"

Scarlet:"Don't be like that..trust me it will feel lonely without you as well, but I know you can do it! But please don't try and bare everything on your own, open up to others."

(Y/n):"*Nods* I-I can-"

Scarlet:"Will."

(Y/n):"I...will try.

Scarlet:"*Sighs and smiles* That's all I needed to hear."

"I soon then pull (Y/n) into a hug surprising him, but soon slowly joins in and hugs back as well with him sniffling a little which causes me to tear up as well and soon afterwards I let go of (Y/n) as I wipe a bit of the tears off my eyes."

Scarlet:"*Pulls out her phone* Well then let me know about your experiences you two!"

Imari:"We will right (Y/n)?"

(Y/n):"*Nods and slowly smiles* Yeah."

"I soon begin to walk away looking back at the two one last time waving goodbye to them with them doing the same. Soon I was joining the other students, but I continued walk with my head high. That is until I saw my kickboxing teacher?!"

Scarlet:"T-teacher?! What are you doing here?!"

Teacher:"*Sighs* I was hoping that you wouldn't be here but oh well I guess this works."

Scarlet:"What do you mean?"

Teacher:"Heh follow me and you'll find out."

"I soon began following my teacher wondering what was she meant by you'll find out. Well like she said I'll find out soon enough."

(Y/n) Pov

"As I was following what Scarlet said and be happy, although deep down I still felt sadden that she is now gone. I was broken out of my thoughts as I felt Imari staring at me."

(Y/n):"What?"

Imari:"Nothing! It's just that's the first time I've ever seen you smile."

(Y/n):"Oh..really?"

Imari:"*Nods* Yeah you look nice, you should smile more."

(Y/n):"*Scratches cheek* Ohh....thanks Imari,you really are as kind as I remembered.."

Imari:"*Blushes* W-wha!?! Come on there's no need to say that!"

(Y/n):"(Why is she getting red?) Well shall we get going?"

Imari:"Oh! *Ahem* Uh..yes let's."

"Me and Imari soon make our way to our classroom and once we open the door we see most of the students already in their seats sitting next to one another chatting. I begin walking to the back for any available seats to see a desk completely free as I make my way to the desk I sitting in it as I rest my head on the palm of my hand just staring at the board until I hear the chair beside me move causing me to look to the side and see Imari sitting down next to me smiling."

Imari:"What? I can't sit next to you? *She asks in a teasing tone*"

(Y/n):"No. I just...ah never mind.."

Imari:"*Gently taps his arm while giggling* I'm just teasing ya."

(Y/n):"Ooh."

???:"Oh hey Imari! I see you passed the entrance exam."

Imari:"Oh hey Tor! I see you did the same!"

(Y/n):"Someone you know?"

Imari:"Kinda. I met him before seeing you and Scarlet again."

Tor:"Well I'm Tor Kokonoe nice to meet you."

(Y/n):"(Y/n), (L/n) same here."

???:"Hey the names Torasaki Aoi."

???:"*Flexes*(Tatsuno Ryuutarou a pleasure to meet you!)"

(Y/n)/Imari:"Nice to meet you."

"Everything was cut short when a door opened to show a girl walking in who was causing guys and girls to blush at her appearance and I cannot lie that she stood out for positive reasons. She soon made her way and sat next to Tor and had began staring at him and when ever he would turn to talk to her she would look away much to his annoyance."

Tor:*Whispers* Hey do you two know her?"

Imari:"Nope."

(Y/n):"No never seen her before."

Tor:"*Sighs then takes one last attempt*."

"Just then a person in a maid out fit wearing bunny ears comes in through the window only to show off by jumping and twirling to their desk and begins dancing."

???:"Hello hello! Nice to meet all of you I'm your homeroom teacher Rito Tsukumi! But I would prefer if you call me Prof. Bun Buns!!"

(Y/n):"(Oh great another teacher that gives me weird vibes plus the dead silence should kinda tell that your little acting ain't cute...and Tor is still getting stared at even after all this. Yikes..)"

Rito:"Huh? Why are you giving me such strange looks?..Oh I know! You all must be speechless by my adorable looks right?!"

(Y/n):"(I think it because for an obvious reason..)"

Rito:"Well since I introduced myself now it's all of your turns!"

(Y/n):"(Are you fucking kidding me?)"

"Soon everyone began introducing one another with the navy blue hair girl introducing herself next."

???:"Hello everyone my name is Tomoe Tachibana it's nice to meet you.*Bows*"

"The girl with the brown hair soon nervously made her way up after Tomoe was done with her introduction. She looked like she had a hard time looking up at the class."

???:"M-my n-name is Miyabi H-Hotaka.*She says as she bows*"

"Soon afterwards Tora went up after Miyabi quickly went back and sat down."

Tora:"Torasaki, Aoi."

"With Tora making it quick and simple he went back to his desk, with Tatsuno making his way to the front of the class."

Tatsuno:"*Flexes!!*(My name is Ryuutarou Tatsuno!! It's nice to meet you!)"

"While everyone else had a hard time understanding him I knew more or less he was introducing himself, I just didn't understand why he relies on his flexing as talking."

Rito:"Now you two in the back!"

"Imari looks at me and I just go ahead and shrug as to me it doesn't matter who goes first, so she went ahead and stood up to walk to the front."

Imari:"My name is Imari Nagakura! It's a pleasure to meet you all! *She says smiling*"

"After her turn was over I made my way to the front of the class."

(Y/n):"The names (Y/n), (L/n). Looking forward to this school year.* I say as I bow*"

Rito:"Oh! Your that student Head Mistress said was interesting!"

(Y/n):"Hmm.(She found interest in me? Either cause of my Blaze or for some other reason.)"

"After that I made my way back to our desk with me taking a glance at Imari who simply gave a small smile, with me nodding and returning to listen to the rest of the introduction until it was Tor and the sliver hair girl's turn."

Tor:"I'm Tor Kokonoe."

Rito:"Kokonoe..Oh right! And you were that irregular that was talked about in the teacher lounge!*She says pointing at Tor*"

Tor:"O-oh..really?"

Rito:"Yep! Yep! Now you with the sliver hair!"

???:"Yes. My name is Julie Sigtuna is pleased to meet each and every one of you."

"As soon as she sat back down she noticed Tor looking in her direction causing her to turn back around damn that is awkward then again I have no room to talk."

Rito:"Now that all of you have introduced yourselves let's go and review a few things. Now remember your student I.D can also be used as a credit card, and so each of you will be starting off with one hundred thousand yen, and will be getting said one hundred yen each month to use it however you like!"

"As the class starting cheering I couldn't help but nod as that was a nice deal, maybe I can stack up the money by not spending as much and over time I would be quite secured money wise, I wonder if our credit card money will carry over to our actually bank accounts? I can ask later."

(Y/n):"Not a bad deal."

Imari:"Right?!"

Rito:"Boys if your not sure what to spend your money on, I happily accept checks!*Giggles*"

(Y/n):"(I think we would be happier if you didn't make that sound like have a shady side job.)"

Rito:"*Quickly writes on the board* Now we will begin by talking about the special duo system we have! You will be paired up with a partner with you two doing everything from sleeping, eating, training, so on and so forth!"

(Y/n):"(Great...)"

Tomoe:"Excuse me professor?"

Rito:"Yes dear?"

Tomoe:"Can you tell me why such an academy has such a system?"

Rito:"Well the answer to that is once you graduate all of you will be placed in a dorm agency peace keeping core and when there you'll be working in teams of two."

Tomoe:"So then this is to help us get use to life and the core am I correct?"

Rito:"That is correct!! Two duo partners work together as one everywhere they go! Whether it's in the classroom, or in the dorms! So moving on permanent duos will be decided by this weekend okay? So until then all of you will be placed in temporary duos."

(Y/n):"Hmm..."

Rito:"Oh and just to clarify while these temporary duos are temporary they are pre-assigned and by pre-assigned I mean the person next to you will be your partner just like in the screening rite!"

(Y/n):"(Well at least its with someone I know although this will raise a lot of attention on us..)

Tor:"Please tell me we can changed that right?!"

Rito:"Sorry! It's already been decided! You two should consider yourselves lucky that you get such beautiful women as partners and roommates and that reminds me Kouryou Academy has no room for infants so no funny business.~"

"The whole class was looking at me and Tor with me just shaking my leg out of boredom as I take a quick glance at Imari who was somewhat looking a little red. I guess she's a bit embarrassed that me and her are going to share a room."

Tor:"Prof.Bun Buns I'm begging you this isn't sensible!"

Rito:"Hmmm?~ This morning you and every other student were ruthlessly fighting against one another and was that sensible?"

"After that the rest of day continued by until it was finally time for us to head to our dorms And once we did we started looking around with us looking around pretty much a basic, but nice room it even has a fridge and a TV? A bathroom providing the simple soap and shampoo they really provided a lot for us.."

Imari:"Hey (Y/n)..?"

(Y/n):"Yeah?"

Imari:"I'm going to go and take a shower so no peeking alright?"

(Y/n):"Alright.(I know we're going to be laying some rules down while temporarily living together. We can worry about that tomorrow I'm tired.)"

"After Imari went to the bathroom I decided to change into my sleepwear and climb up the top bed and lay down I pull out my phone and put my earbuds on and began listening to music until I slowly passed out with music still playing."
