Lying to Tony // Captain America aka Steve Rogers
No spoilers.
Requested by luvSandersSides, I really hope I did okay! I'm not really good at writing Steve or Tony, but I gave it a go!
Imagine being Tony Stark's adoptive daughter and falling for Steve.
-Your POV-
My life was never easy. Though one might expect it to be. After all, when your adoptive dad is a filthy-rich guy, you can have anything you want, right?
Wrong.
Some things money cannot buy.
True friends, happiness... love.
All the people at school tried to hang out with me because my adoptive dad had money. They wanted the fame and the glory, but all I wanted were real friends.
But, I guess my wish came true when the Avengers were formed.
Steve, Natasha, Bruce, Hawkeye. They're all my friends, but Steve is my closest friend.
We're always hanging out and doing stuff together.
I was the one who forced him to watch all of Star Trek, Star Wars, Star Gate, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Stranger Things, the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit.
Over the years of hanging out, you began to develop feelings for each other. Naturally, we were blind to the fact until Nat confronted us about it.
"You like him, and don't even try to denying because that'd be a lie. And you like her, so just make out already!" She said and then walked out of the room.
We both blushed and looked down at our hands.
"Well, erm, what she said wasn't completely not true." I said, shuffling my feet.
"Yeah. I do really like you..."
"Steve, I gotta say it. I like you as more than a friend-"
"So do I. Well, like you as more than a friend."
And that's when it began, the lying to Tony about where you were all the time, the complete avoidance of Tony so that he wouldn't find out.
I feel bad, but I really don't want him finding out yet.
"Hey (Y/n), what's up?" Steve says coming to sit beside me on the couch in the room where everyone usually hangs out.
I sigh, "Just thinking about dad. I feel bad for avoiding him."
"Well," he says, looking at me, "maybe we should tell him."
I chuckle, "If we did, he'd have a heart attack, and then kill you."
"Then, let's stop thinking about it. It's just stressing you anyways."
"Well, maybe you should give me something else to think about." I smile, grazing my hand across his arm.
Without hesitation, he closes the space between us and kisses me passionately.
We stop suddenly when the sound of a plate shattering fills the room.
"What the- STEVE, WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO (Y/N)!!!!" Tony roars, as Steve quickly pushes me off him.
I land on the floor with an 'oomph', as Tony furiously launches himself at Steve. Tony punches Steve in the face a few times, and Steve holds back, but still lands a few punches.
"GAHH!!" I yell, forcing myself between them. "STOP IT! Geez, you're going to KILL EACH OTHER!"
They stop, but Tony still glares at Steve with all his might.
"Okay, see this is good. Let's talk like mature adults." I continue, but I can tell Tony is trying really hard to not kill Steve right now.
"Dad, I love Steve. Mm'kay? And Steve is a great person; he'd never compromise my integrity or let anyone hurt me. Now, I know he's way older then me, but I don't care. And I'm not your little girl anymore: I can take care of myself. So you're just going to deal with it!"
They look at me shocked, but Tony actually nods a little.
And thank goodness for that, right? Otherwise, a civil war could've started between them, and that wouldn't have ended well.
But, I can still feel his smouldering glare whenever Steve and I touch.
