No spoilers or warnings, only fluff!
Imagine that Dirk has a crush on you.
-Your POV-
Dirk is acting odd.
Like, odder-than-regular odd. Like, beyond-your-wildest-imagination odd.
And to be honest, it's starting to unnerve me a bit.
Just the other day he called me at two o'clock in the morning and then hung up after, like, one sentence.
"Hello..?" I had asked, still obviously sleepy and slightly-okay, very-irritated.
"Um, hiiiiii. I was-er, no forget it. Uhhh, byeee." And then he hung up on me.
Naturally, I just ignored it, but the next day he was acting strange. Jumping at nothing, talking to himself, and staring at me. Not like he doesn't do that stuff already, but it got worse.
Even Todd noticed.
"Hey, have you noticed something...odd with Dirk lately?" He asked.
"Uh, yeah. What's up with him?"
"I," he sighs, "I have no idea..."
Right now though, I'm just sitting in a caffe reading a book and drinking coffee. Nothing to stress me out and nothing to distract me from my-
Dirk sits down right in front of my face and I'm startled out of my mind.
"Dirk, what the heck?! You scared me!" I say, looking up momentarily from my reading.
"Oh, well, I can certainly say that that was not my intention in the least, and, in fact, I was hoping you'd be pleased to see me."
I raise my eyebrow.
"Wait, no! Scratch that! I'm-uhrghrhrhghhh..." He blows a raspberry and plonks his head on the table, causing little ripples in my drink.
"Dirk, I am happy to see you, but I've been meaning to ask you something... Are you okay? You've been acting really, and I mean really, weird lately. Is there something you need to talk about? If so, I'm always here for you. . . Even at two in the morning." I comfort him, taking a sip of my drink.
"Two in the...? Oh, oh yes! I'm really awfully sorry about that, I don't know what got into me..." With that he groans again and raises his head.
"(Y/n), I know you've had some trouble believing the whole interconnectedness of everything, but I honestly believe I am meant to be here..."
I find myself nodding as I skim read my book halfheartedly.
"And that I was meant to meet you."
At this last statement, I look up at him and put aside my book. He sounds so serious, and he never sounds this serious.
"I-I, I like you (Y/n). As in 'more-than-a-friend' like you. Like, really like like you. And the reason I've been all distracted lately is because I'm trying to call upon the nerve to ask you out."
"Wait, what? Like 'out on a date' out?" I say, shocked momentarily.
"Well, yes. But I know that you're a little out of my league, well, a lot out of my league, but I-"
"Shh. Truth is, Dirk, I like you too."
"Wait, as in 'like-like'?" He says
I smile, "Yes, 'like-like'. Very much actually."
"Well then." He clears his throat and gets his pleading/serious face on. "(Y/n), will you go on a proper date with me?"
"Of course, Dirk."
His face swiftly lights up into a brilliant smile, as he takes my hand in his.
Just then, Todd sits down beside Dirk.
Dirk turns to him with a huge grin, "Guess what?"
"What?" Todd asks with a slow smile creeping on his face.
"(Y/n) just agreed to go on a date with me!"
"Wait, what? When did this happen?"
"Just right now," I input, smirking.
"Wait, did I interrupt something?" Todd says, glancing at us.
"Nope." Dirk and I say at the same time.
"Well then, I think I might have a case."
"Oh my gosh! Is it my birthday? A date and a case?! This is the best day of my life!" He shouts in his gorgeous accent.
