21. The last thing I saw was my alarm clock flashing 12:07 before she pushed her long rotting fingernails through my chest, other hand muffling my screams. I sat bolt upright, relieved it was only a dream, but as I saw my alarm clock read 12:06, I heard my closet door creek open.

22. She went upstairs to check on her sleeping toddler. The window was open and the bed was empty.

23. Growing up with cats and dogs, I got used to the sound of scratching at my door while I slept. Now that I live alone, it's much more unsettling.

24. I walked into the bathroom one night and looked at myself in the mirror. Only one of us walked out.

25. Poor little George was a quiet lad; with only one friend he was often sad. Now poor George is a lonely lad; he cut out that friend's eyes when he got mad.

26. My daughter won't stop screaming and crying in the middle of the night. I visit her grave and ask her to stop, but it doesn't help.

27. For a long time we heard the little voices, screams, and footsteps of the ghost children in our old clinic, and we got used to them. Then one day they went quiet, which should have been our que to leave.

28. When I was first able to hear again I would talk to myself when I was alone, just to enjoy the sound in my ears. I stopped shortly after I started hearing replies to my conversations.

29. He constantly felt like he was being followed, but one day the feeling stopped. Maybe it was just a coincidence that he had also found a dead man in his closet the same day.

30. Every night, he would hear a loud moan in his sleep, followed by a demon saying he was going to kill him. It really got scary when he stopped sleeping, but the demon continued to come.
