Gray's POV

I walk into a store called Blanc's Dust Shop with a girl at the register.

Girl at register: Welcome to Blanc's Dust Shop.

Gray: Excuse me where are the dust rounds?

Girl at register: They are in aisle three.

Gray: Thanks for the help.

Girl at register: No problem.

I walked into aisle three and look through all the calibers. I here the front door open and lots of foot steps.

Thug?: Hands in the air.

I lean out of the aisle and see Roman with a bunch of Junior's thugs.

Girl at the register: No!! Get out of my store!!

Thug: Put your fucking hands up!

Roman: We don't have time for this, just grab the dust.

The thugs spread out across the store. One of them comes to the aisle I'm in. When he spots me he points his gun at me. I run at him using my semblance to make me faster and punch him in the gut. I then grab him by the collar and throw him to the front of the store.

Roman: Okay...?

Still using my semblance I run to the register and jump over the counter, grabbing the girl and making her duck.

Girl: What the hell!

Gray: If your willing to fight then fight. If not then stay down.

I grab Slate from my back as I jump back over the counter. I slash at one of the thugs. He bloks with his short sword and I take that chance to kick him in the stomach, throwing him back. Another thug comes up behind me and moves to stab me with his sword. I use my semblance to speed up my reaction time and intercept his attack. I throw him over my shoulder. But Roman points his cane at me. So I reorientated the thug in mid air using my semblance to slow him down and use him as a shield, Slate in my right hand. Some were in all that the thug managed to grab my hood and pull it off my head.

Roman: Oh it really is you. What are you doing h-

He's interrupted as his cane is knocked out of his hand by what looked like a knife.

Girl: I said get out of my store!

As she said that the knife came back to her. This time I noticed the knife had a wire attached to it and that it was actually the blade of a sword. That was fired from it's hilt. Roman takes a chance on me being stunned to dive for his cane. He grabs it and runs out the door. The last of the thugs following him out. I knock out the thug I have.

Girl: I'm going after him, you coming?

I nod and follow her out of the store as she turns into a blur. When she stops she's in front of the group. I take that chance to incapacitate the last of the thugs with gravity dust. Roman fires his cane at the girl but she gets out of the way ending up next to me. After making sure she's alright I spot Roman climbing a ladder on the side of a building.

The girl points her sword at the top of the building and fires her blade at it, lodging it into the roof.

Girl: See you at the top.

The girl grabs the wire and pulls on it as she presses the button on the hilt of her sword. I can hear gears turning as she flies to the top of the building. I follow speeding myself up to run up the side of the building.

Girl: Hay!

Roman: Persistent.

A airship fly's up to the edge of the building closest to Roman. He hops in and pulls out a red dust crystal.

Roman: End of the line kids. Tell Red I said hi, Gray.

Roman throws the crystal at us and points his cane at it.

Roman: No hard feelings right Gray?

Roman fires his cane. I run to the girl and tackle her out of the way. But the blast never hits us, I get up and hold my hand out to the girl.

Girl: Thanks. (grabs hand)

Gray: (pulls her up) No problem but I'm pretty sure that she's (points to blond woman) the one that blocked the blast.

Huntress?: Come with me.

[Time skip]

We ended up following her to the police station. Me and the girl are sitting next to each other in a interrogation room. Whit miss Glynda Goodwitch steering at us intently.

Glynda: That was very reckless. You two could have gotten hurt or endangered others. If it were up to me you'd be sent home with a pat on the back and a slap on the wrist. (slaps table with riding crop) But there is someone who wants to meet you.

Girl: Professor Ozpin?!

Ozpin: And hello to you too Ms Amber Sky. Now then, young man where did you learn to do this? (Glynda shows her tablet)

Gray: Well I was raised in a village outside of Vale. Where everyone has to know how to do something, whether that be working in the fields, making goods, fixing broken-down stuff, hunting, or training to protect the village.

Ozpin: Tell me about this village.

Gray: The village's name was Black Bell. The village had only faunus. But when I was a baby a bullhead crashed the only survivers we're a family of humans. The father and mother we're hunters. There baby was a year old just like me. My father and mother decided to let them stay in the village and live in our house. After a couple of years the village was over run by Grimm, the two hunters tried to fight them back but ended up dead with most of the villagers. Me and my parents along with the hunters child got away and moved to the island of Patch.

Ozpin: What were the names of the hunters and there child.

Gray: If that's what you want to know I might as well tell you the rest of the story... The name of the father was Crim Sheet the name of the mother was Lapis Sheet. There child's, my brother's name is Red Sheet. A couple of years after we moved to Patch my parents were murdered by a band of faunus hating humans. When we found there body's we grabbed everything that we could and ran. We ended up stowaways on a bullhead that took us to vale. After that we did what we had to to survive.

Ozpin: I assume that's also how you met Roman.

Gray: Ya, something like that.

Amber's POV

I couldn't believe what has happened to him. Losing his village and family. But I guess not everyone has the best life.

Ozpin: Would you like to come to my school?

Gray: I would have to discuss that with Red.

Amber: I hope I see you and Red at Beacon.

Ozpin: you my go now Amber.

After Ozpin says that I get up and walk out of the interrogation room.

Gray's POV

Gray: I'll take you with me. Me and Red should be able to decide whether or not to go to your school tonight.

[Time Skip]

Gray: Hey! Red get out here.

Red: I will just give me a second! (Red walks out of the building) What you need Gra- (Red stares at Ozpin and Glynda) Who are they?

Gray: This is headmaster Ozpin and professor Goodwitch. They are offering us a chance to get a better life, to become Huntsman.

Red: So a better life hu, I'm in. Let me get my weapon.

Gray: I hope we can come to trust each other more.

Ozpin: As do I Gray, as do I.

Red: Okay let's get going.

Roman's POV

After getting back to the base and settling my nerves I decided to find out what Gray and Red are up to.

Roman: I want as much information on Gray and Red's whereabouts as possible.

The White Fang lieutenant walks away after nodding his head.

Amber's POV

As I walk out of the bullhead I look up to see the beauty of Beacon. I walk into the courtyard and look around, there's so many people. I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around to see a girl a couple inches shorter than me with dark blond hair and scarlet eyes.

Amber: Yes?

Girl: Do you know where the first years meet.

Amber: We go to the auditorium.

Girl: We?

Amber: Yes, I'm a first year too.

Girl: Oh uh let me introduce myself I'm Alice Swan.

Amber: My name is Amber, Amber Sky. It's nice to meet you.

Alice: It's nice to meet you too... Didn't you graduate top of your class at Signal.

Amber: Yes I did. You went to Signal?

Alice: Well I didn't really talk to anyone back at Signal and only graduate sixth in my class.

Amber: Was it because of combat or studies?

Alice: It was because of studies.

Amber: I can get that I used to have a hard time with my studies as well. Come on we should get to the auditorium.

Alice: Yeah we should.

As I turn around to start walking when I notice a familiar boy with a pair of fluffy wolf ears. Standing next to a boy that has black hair with red spots in it. 

Amber: Hay, Gray!

His wolf ears twitched cutely as he turned around. The other boy looking up from his scroll.

Gray: Amber right?

Amber: Right.

Gray I didn't get the chance to formally introduce myself to you the last time we meet.

Amber: Oh my name's Amber Sky it nice to formally meet you.

Gray: I'm Gray Indigo. (Gray switch his gaze to Alice) May I have your name as well.

Alice: I'm Alice, Alice Swan.

Gray: It's nice to meet you Alice.

Alice: It's nice to meet you as well.

Red Spot Boy: I'm Red Sheet it's nice to meet the both of you.

Gray: I think we should get going the interest ceremony starts in a few minutes.

Amber: Let's go then.

Alice's POV:  

They're quite nice. I hope I'm on a team with them, maybe they won't they won't abandoned me like the others. When we get to the auditorium Red and Gray go and lean on the wall closest to the door we walked in through.

Gray: We're going to stay here you to can move up if you want to.

I look over to Red and see he's deep in thought.

Amber: You coming Alice.

Alice: ... Yeah I'm coming.

Red's POV:

Something about Alice feels off. I can't put my finger on it but somethings up with her.

Gray: Your thinking about Alice right?

Red: Yes, she's... Interesting.

Gray: Dose someone have a crush.

Red: (Blushing a bit) I could ask you the same. You seem to have taken a interest in Amber.

Gray: It's like you said she's interesting.(He looks up at the stage) Let's just listen to Ozpin's speech.

Red: Yeah.

[Time Skip]

After Ozpin's speech we were led to the ball room. Where we were going to sleep for the night. Me, Gray, Amber, and Alice set up our sleeping bags in a circle.

Red: Hay we should exchange scroll info.

Amber: Ya we should. (Pulls out scroll)

I pull out mine. Gray pulling out his right after.

Gray: What about you Alice?

Alice: Oh I'm... Ya okay. (Pulls out scroll)

After we exchanged our scroll info we talked for awhile. Then started falling asleep one by one.

Gray's POV:

Me, Red, Amber, and Alice along with the other first years are standing on platforms at the edge of a mountain over looking the Emerald For.

Ozpin: To day you are going to be put in teams of four. That being said the first person you make eye contact with will be your partner for the rest of your time at Beacon. Your task is to retrieve a relic from some ruins on the other side of the forest. Then make your way back here.

Glynda: You will be launched into the forest. Any questions?

Blonde boy: Uhh sir how are we going to land?

Ozpin: You will be making your own landing strategy.

After I hear that I'm launched into the air. I look back to see Red and the girls have been launched as well. I look down to see I'm getting closer to the top of the trees. I take out Slate and transform it into two one bladed arming swords. I catch a branch with the edge of my swords to slow myself down. I keep it up till I get low enough to drop to the ground. When I hit the ground I roll and start to run right in to a pack of Beowolves. 

And they've surrounded me, they all then charge me. I use my semblance to speed up my reaction time and swing Slate around my body. The Beowolves hesitate if only for a moment. One Beowolf slashes at me and I position Slate to block the attack, then parrying cutting off it's head with a quick strike. I return to swing Slate around me, till one of them jumps at me. As it falls I position Slate to skewer the Grimm on the blade. I transformed Slate and tore the Beowolf in two. Spinning around I fire a shot from both hands killing two more. I turn to the last one only to see a blade go through it's chest. It's then pulled back further into the forest. Amber then walks out from the same direction the Beowolf was taken.

Gray: Yo.(Waves)

Amber: (Waves) Hi. You seen Red or Alice?

Gray: Nope but we should get moving partner.

Amber: I'll be right behind you.

Me and Amber walked for what seemed like hours. Until we came across a sleeping Nevermore. I then think up the most fun and stupidest idea ever.

Alice's POV:

After jumping through the trees for a bit I come to a clearing. Where I find Red walking out of the trees. I jump in front of him.

Red: Oh hay, guess we're partners now.

Alice: Yep. Let's get to the ruins.

When we get to the ruins not many of the relics, witch turned out to be chest peaces are there. Meaning others got here earlier.

Red: the relics are chest peaces?

Alice: I guess so. (I walk over to a knight peace) Let's take a knight.

Red: I'm fine with that.

Amber's POV:

Gray: (Points) There's the ruins.

Amber: How are we going to get down?

Gray: We jump. Now grab my hand.

Amber: Okay?

I grab his hand he pulls me in to him. I feel my cheeks start to heat up as he holds me.

Gray: Hold on.

Amber: Wha?... Wait!

My protest comes to late as Gray falls backwards. As we fell I felt him tighten his grip around me. When we started to pick up speed I clung to him tightly and shut my eyes. Then I felt the wind stop wiping past me and I opened my eyes. When I do I find myself looking up into Gray's hazel eye.and blush as I do. I then realize I'm in his arms bridal style and blush even more.

Gray: (Puts me down) I'm sorry if I frightened you with that little stunt.

Amber: (Still slightly blushing) N-no I was just surprised a little to be honest it was kinda fun.

Gray: Just making sure. I'ma go grab a relic.

Gray walks over to a knight peace and takes it.

Red's POV:

Red: Well there's Gray and Amber.

Alice: How????

Amber: (Points to the sky) The Nevermore.

???: Aaaaaaaah!!!

A blonde boy lands next to me on his back. I then hear the roar of a Ursa.

???: Wheeeee!!!

A Ursa emerges from the tree line with a orange haired girl on it's back with a boy that has a pink highlight in his raven hair following behind. The Ursa falls to the ground and the orange haired girl runs to grab one of the peaces.

Orange haired girl: I'm Queen of the castles, I'm Queen of the castles.

Boy with pink highlight: Nora!

Nora: Coming Ren.

As Nora walked back to Ren a red headed girl came running out of the forest with a Death Stalker on her tail. As the girl runs she dodges it's pincers. The blonde boy stood up and unsheathed his sword, the sheath unfolding into a shield.

Gray: Well this is chaos. 

Amber: Yep.

Red: Mmmhmm.

Alice: You could say that again.

Gray's POV

I grab Slate from my back and charge at the Death Stalker to help the red head get away. The Death Stalker attacks with it's stinger and I start to speed up the girl with my semblance. The the stinger hitting the ground she was standing on just a second earlier. I then use my semblance to freeze the Grimm, attacking it quickly. But Slate just bounce off it's armer. I raze Slate above my head for one more strike.

Amber: Just leave it. We already accomplished our objective. All we need to do now is get back to the cliffs.

Blonde boy: Run and live... I can get behind that.

Gray: Ok, let's get out of here.

When the eight of us got into the forest I release the Death Stalker as to conserve my aura. After running through the forest for a bit we come across more ruins at the edge of a cliff. The Death Stalker crashes through the trees behind us.

Jaune: Oh come on!

Gray: We should have killed it when I had it trapped!  

Jaune: Nora distract it!

Nora: Got it!

The Nevermore then destroyed the bridge to the ruins. Trapping me, Red, Amber, and Alice inside the ruins.

Gray: We need to get out of higher!

Amber: Then let's get moving!

With that we all can for higher ground. When we get up there Alice and I start firing at the Nevermore.

Red: Gray boost me!

Gray: On it!

Using my semblance I speed up Red, the Nevermore flying straight for him. When it gets close he jumps at it , stabbing his sword into it's back so he could stay on top of the giant Grimm. He takes out his sword and puts it into his shield. He pulls it off transforming it into a two handed axe. He raises it above his head and slams it down lodging it into the Grimm's back.

Gray: Amber help others Red!

Amber: On it!

When the Nevermore comes back around she fires her sword, lodging the blade in it's neck. She pulls on the wire well pressing the on the hilt. She's then lonched at the massive Grimm, Red still putting heavy blows into the Nevermore's back.

Gray: (Turns to Alice) We need to focus on it's wings.

Alice nods and starts firing at the wings. I reload Slate and join her, Amber and Red still attacking it's back.

Amber: Force it to the cliff!! ( Thrown off the Nevermore and losses sword) AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!

I use my semblance both to slow her fall and speed myself up, running to the edge then jumping into the air. As I do I see Red jump up and bring his axe down on the Nevermore's neck, decapitating it. He lands on the cliff Alice forced the Grimm next to, Amber's weapon lodging it's self into the ground next to him. Amber then lands in my arms. I position us so that my legs would hit the face of the cliff. When my legs hit, cracks form along the cliff. I jump from it with Amber holding on to me as tightly as she can. But even with my semblance we start to fall short. A red barrier  appears right before we could start picking up speed. I land on the barrier and push off it in to the air, landing back on the ruins.

Gray: (Puts down Amber) You okay?

Amber: Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for the save.

Gray: No problem.

I hold my fist out to Amber. She smiles and fist bumps me. Red walks to the edge of the cliff and pumps his fist above his head. I do the same along with Amber and Alice.

Gray's POV:

Ozpin: Gray Indigo, Red Sheet, Amber Sky, and Alice Swan. You four have retrieved the white pawn peaces and will hence forth be know as team GRAA. Lead by Gray Indigo.

The crowd cheers and congratulates us.

Red: (Pats my back) You'll be grate.

Gray: Hey I led you. (Smirks)

Red: Oh ha ha.

Amber: Congratulations.

Alice: You did well.

Gray: Not so timid now are ya?

Alice: Sorry about that I'm just a little nervous around new people.

Red: Ay it's fine.

[Time Skip]

Alice: I call the bed closes to the bathroom. (Runs and jumps on the bed)

Red: Damnit. I call next one over.

I walked to the bed furthest from the bathroom and put my stuff on it.

Gray: This ones mine.

Amber: Thanks for helping me choose my bed guys.

Gary and Red: No problem.

Alice: (Walks to the bathroom chuckling) You coming Amber we should all get changed?

Amber: Right behind you.

Well there in the bathroom me and Red get changed. When I'm done I hop in bed and start playing on my scroll. Red sharpening his sword. Amber and Alice come out of the bathroom heading straight for there beds.

Amber: So, how do your semblances work? Mine gives me a boost to my strength, speed, and agility.

Red: Okay so my semblance let's me create indestructible objects with my aura.... I'm just going to say this now I can use them as projectiles I just keep that as a backup for really dangerous situations.

Alice: Mine turns me invisible and if I'm calm and have no negative emotions it will conceal my presents form Grimm. 

Gray: Okay how to explain it? My semblance allows me to slow down or speed up as well as stop time for an object. But those are the just generalizations in reality it's much more complicated then that. (Looks over to Red and Red nods) My semblance has also been changing sense I unlocked it. When I first got it I could only speed up time for my self. The newest ability it gave me is to stop time for an object. I got it about a year ago.

Amber: So is it just going to keep evolving?

Gray: To be honest I don't know if it will stop or if I'll end up becoming a god of time. But for now I only have those three abilities.

Red: We have to focus on the now.

Alice: That's true. (Yawns) We should probably get to bed.

Amber: Goodnight guys.

Red, Gray, Alice: Night.

Roman's POV:

A white Fang grunt walks into my office and hands me a file. After looking through the file I call Neo to my office.

Roman: Neo I want you to give the boys the location of our next heist.

Neo nods her head and walks out.

Alice's POV:

After we got up we changed into our school uniforms and headed to our first class. Which is Prof. Port... Oh my gods he's so boring.

Port: So who thinks they have what it takes to become a great hunter?

Alice: (Raises hand) I do.

Port: Go, prepare to face your opponent.

I go and change into gear. I come back to find a cage in the middle of the room. I get into a battle stance, ready for Port to open the cage.

Port: Begin! (Opens cage)

A boarbatusk runs out of the cage coming straight for me. I jump over it and fire Fatal Quake behind me, the force of the shot knocking the Grimm off balance. But it recovers quickly, jumping up and rolling on it's spine. Before it gets to me I turn invisible and side step the charge. Letting it run in to the wall. When it hits the wall it falls on it's back, allowing me to stab it's stomach and fire a shot in it. Kill the thing.

Port: Excellent show. It seems to me you will make a fine huntress.

[Time Skip]

Gray's POV:

Gray: I just got a text form Neo. It's about there next heist. They want us to join in.

Red: Should we tell Alice and Amber about it?

Gray: Yes. This is as good a time as any to explain our past to Alice.

Red: How do you think she's going to react?

Gray: I couldn't tell you.

We head back to our room to find Amber reading a book and Alice cleaning her gun.

Red: Hey Alice we have something to tell you about.

Alice: Okayyyy?

Gary: As Amber already knows we have connections to Roman Torchwick.

Alice: (Looks down) How?

Red: Well to keep a long story short our parents died and we ended up on the streets of Vale. That's when Roman and Neo Roman's partner found us and took us in. Then Ozpin found us and gave us a new chance.

Alice: (Looks up wide eyed) Th-That's just....

Gray: There's more we just got a text from Neo asking us to join in on there latest heist.

Amber: Why not go to Ozpin with that information!?

Gray: Simple, trust. We're a team now and teammates trust each other.

Red: We also want to get your input on what to do from here.

Alice: I say we go after them ourselves see if we can get them to come willingly.

Gary: That will be difficult even with us there.

Amber: But it's worth a shot, isn't it worth it to try and redeem them. They helped you so there has to be so good in them.

Red: Ya they have good in them but it was crushed when life gave them a shitty. But we owe them to at least try.

Gray: Then it's settled we're go after them ourselves.

Gray's POV:

Roman's heist is tomorrow tomorrow, but right now we have classes to work on. Specifically Goodwitch's class where Jaune Arc, leader of team JNPR is getting his ass handed to him by Cardin, leader of team CRDL. It's not surprising though the only really good person is Pyrrha. She's not called the invincible girl for nothing. Cardin knocks down Jaune and Goodwitch calls the match.

Then the bell rings and we walk out. Please don't run in to Cardin, Please don't run in to Cardin, please.

Cardin: Hey flea bag!

Well fuck. I slowly turn to face Cardin and notice his team is with him.

Gray: What do you want Cardin? (He walks closer)

Cardin: I was just going to teach an anime it's place.

Gray: Back off, you I already beat you a couple time. So just back off.

Cardin: That was in Goodwitch's class with your team. (He gets in my face)  So it's time for you to learn. (He reatches for my ears)

Gray: (Slaps his hand away) Don't. Fucking. Touch. Me.

Cardin: Oh so the dog has some bark. Let's see if you got some bite.

He pulls his arm back and makes a fist. On instinct I activate my semblance and dodge his punch. He threw a couple more punches and I keep dodging. After I regain my composure I use my semblance to get me to the cafeteria. When I get there I join my team at our table taking some of Red's food.

Amber: What took you so long?

Gray: Cardin.

Amber: oh.

Red: Did you knock him out? Please tell me you knocked him out.

Gray: No it's not worth the trouble.

Red: Oh it is so worth the trouble.

Gray: Then how bout next time you see him you knock him out. Hmmmm?

Alice: Hey Gray what happened to your eye.

Gray: I.... I don't really feel like talking about it.

Amber: It still brings back bad memories doesn't it?

Gray: Something like that.

Faunus Girl: Please let go of my ear. Ow!!!

I flatten my ears and glare at Cardin who is certainly pulling on a poor rabbit faunus' ear.

Bunny Girl: Ow!!!!!!! Please stop.

I've had enough! I get up and walk to Cardin and the innocent girl growling as I do.

Amber: I thought you said it wasn't worth the trouble?

Gray: Oh it's worth it, it's so worth it. Cardin! Let her go. Now.

Cardin: Aww look boys the big bad wolf is mad.

Gray: Oh shut up Cardin. How did you even get in to this school? You have no respect for anyone.

Cardin: Keep talking and I pull her ear off. (Tugs on ear)

Gray: (Growling) Okay I'll tell you again. Let. Her. Go. Now Asshole!

Cardin: How you going to make me?

Gray: Fine then.

I activate my semblance and grab his arm. Griping it as hard as I can, making him let go.

Cardin: Let, Let go.

Gray: Fucking make me.

Cardin tries punching me but I catch his fist and kick him in the stomach.  I let him go as he falls to his knees. Punching him straight in the face he falls back, hitting the ground hard. With him on the ground I kick him in the head to make sure he's knocked out.

It's only then I realize Goodwitch is probably on her way. So with Cardin's team still in shock I pick up the bunny girl and book it for the exit. When we get far enough away I put the bunny girl down and let her process every thing that just happened.

Gray: Are you okay? (Ears twitch)

Bunny Girl: (Blushes) Ye-Yes, thank you... My name's Velvet.

Gray: Names Gray. Nice to meet you. (Holds out hand)

Velvet: (Shakes hand) It's nice to meet you too.

Gray: If you don't mind me asking why don't you defend your self? You must be good at fighting if you got in to this school.

Velvet: Well yes I can fight but it would just make it worse. Even if it is self defense people would still take Cardin's side.

Gray: So what if people take his side you defended yourself. You got yourself a team?

Velvet: Yeah?

Gray: Then that's all that matters. After all as long as you have people that stick with you you'll never have to to face the bad without help. Well now I'm rambling. Just try to stick up for yourself sometimes.

Velvet: Okay I'll try... I should probably get going good buy Gray.

Gray: See ya around.

I watched as Velvet disappears behind a corner. Well now to address the eavesdropper.

Gray: You can come out now.

Out off the corner of my eye I spot a brown haired girl come from behind a corner. She's also wearing sunglasses and a beret. I watch her walk past me to lean on a window seal.

Girl: Thanks for helping Velvet.

Gray: It's not a problem. So I assume your from her team?

Coco: Coco Adel, leader of team CFVY, same team Velvet is on. How'd you notes me?

Gary: I think your forgetting the obvious here. (Wiggles ears) and besides that wolves are known for there sense of smell.

Coco: (Giggles) Yeah I guess that was a pretty stupid question. (Seductive smirk) So what do I smell like big boy?

Gray: (Grins) Why you smell like hot chocolate of course. Oh and add in some expensive perfume. (Leans in close to her ear) I kinda like it. (Pulls back) But there's one already occupying the top spot.

Coco: (Slight blush) Let me guess it's one of the girls from your team, right?
