He stares at me with piercing blue eyes. I blink.

"Aaargh!" I exclaim.

"Haha! I won again!" Daniel shouts in triumph.

"Yo Daniel! You're undefeated!" Liam shouts from across the table.

"I know", he smirks.

"Oh stop it", I say, smacking his arm playfully.

The bell rings signaling the end of lunch.

"Come on, let's get to class", Daniel says with a smile.

"Okay", I reply, smiling back.

We both stand up and start towards the door. Suddenly, vertigo smacks me in the face and I crumple to the floor with a squeal. My vision goes fuzzy. I see Daniel drop his binder and rush over to me. His lips are moving and a look of concern is etched onto his handsome face, but none of the words make it to my ears. Pictures move along my vision, pushing away Daniel and my friends.

The woods behind the school. There is movement in the trees. A boy's face. His sharp jawline and brown eyes look familiar. Joseph.

Suddenly, Daniel is back.

"Gillian? Gillian!"

"Yeah, what?....Daniel?" I groan. "Oh, my head..."

My head is pounding and my eyes are having a hard time focusing. I feel myself drifting back to the darkness.

"Hey, Gillian. Wake up! Come on! You can do it", Daniel whispers close to my ear.

"Yeah....", the world comes back into focus. " I'm here."

Daniel sighs in relief.

"What just happened?" he asks.

I remember the pictures I had just seen floating in front of me.

Joseph.

The name had popped into my head with the boy's face. That must be his name.

"I have no clue."
