The dinner with Gauri's mom was a night Omkara would never in his life forget. A night that forged a duo that ended up being BFF's for life. During the entire meal Omkara was unable to even get a word in because the two women were busy talking about how they never thought that Gauri and him would ever find someone and only by sheer miracle did they find each other. Even till this day Omkara is still amazed how the evening went from "Hello..nice to meet you; to let's plan their wedding."

Sitting in his office holding a black box Omkara was smiling thinking about how tomorrow would be Valentine's day.

"Tomorrow would make it one year."

He started to laugh thinking about how she finally figured out that he was Omkara Oberoi. A wealthy entrepreneur that owned a company offering cyber security to the biggest firms in the country.

Flashback to the dinner with Gauri's mom

Standing just outside her door Omkara was being harrassed by his own mother.

"Mom. Stop adjusting my tie."

"First impressions are very important! You are not getting any younger son and I'm dying to hold a grandchild."

Taking a hold of his tie Omkara once again reminded his crazy mother.

"Mom! Remember we are here just for dinner. Do not!..I mean Do Not....by any means....bring up marriage."

Adjusting her own dress Jhanvi looks at her son in the eyes with a stern expression.

"I promise you N-O-T-H-I-N-G. At my age I will fight for what I want and frankly my dear dear dear son....will not be able to stop me."

At a loss for words Omkara wanted to drag his mother back to the car but she had already knocked on the door. As he heard the rumbling from the other side of the door he stood straight up like a statue.

"Good evening Mrs. Oberoi. Omkara."

Her smile immediately calmed his nerves but when the door opened all the way he froze again.

Pinky: You...you....aren't you that Omkara Oberoi that runs that one computer company?!

Turning towards her confused daughter Pinky started to slap her shoulder but by now Gauri was an expert and dodging every strike.

Pinky: When I asked you his name you told me it was Omkara Oberoi. When I asked you if he was that rich Omkara Oberoi you said definitely no! You lie to your own mother?!

Jhanvi and Omkara was still standing outside the door looking at Pinky chase her daughter around the living room.

Gauri: Maa...if you keep chasing me like this they will run away.

Once Pinky heard those words she looked towards the door where two people were still staring at her.

Laughing awkwardly Pinky walks up to the doorway "Do come in."

With a box a delicious pastries in his hand Omkara tried smiling naturally as he and his mother walked inside.

Omkara could tell by Gauri's eyes that she had questions for him. Especially regarding his profession when he had told her that he worked at a small company pushing papers all day.

As they sat at the small dining table Omkara was expecting for Gauri to say something but she never did. Instead she would eat and talked to his mom normally and this made him quite nervous. Even Jhanvi could tell that her son was trouble so she tried to break the ice.

"Gauri I heard from Omkara that you didn't know that he owned the largest security agency in the country but he has a very good reason for that."

Seeing that there was light at the end of the tunnel Omkara waited to hear her thoughts.

"Oh? What is the reason?"

**DUM DUM DUM** (OMINOUS ..what Omkara hears in his head)

With just one question from her Omkara felt like someone had just punched him in the gut.

Jhanvi: Are you angry dear? Don't be. It's just that because of his profession he is overly suspicious of people. And since he refused to do a background check on you..like he would do with everyone...he was afraid that once you knew of his identity you would treat him differently.

Omkara could see Gauri slightly nod her head as if she understood.

Gauri: Yes. I would have.

Everyone at the table was choking on something. Jhanvi almost spit out her tea. Pinky almost choked on rice and Omkara was choking on the air he needed to breath in.

Picking up a piece of breaded fried shrimp and plopping it in her mouth Gauri hadn't notice anything wrong with her honest response.

Pinky: Gauri! How can you say that?!

Elbowing her daughter Pinky scoots closer to whisper "Ya! You finally got a man...a good one at that and you say you want to take advantage of him?!"

Jhanvi on the other hand thought that her worse nightmare was coming true. Her son had fallen for a gold digger. Concerned she looked over at her son who seem to kept staring at the petite woman eating her meal casually.

Omkara: You would have treated me differently?

Gauri: Of course.

Omkara: How so?

Gauri: I would use you of course.

His heart felt a sharp pain but there was just something about her expression that confused him.

"Use me?"

Nodding her head as she wipes her mouth Gauri finally looks at Omkara wondering why he looked so sad.

"Well the hottest romantic stories are always revolving around some kind of billionaire and here I could be living it. I can just see it. Cold rich CEO falls for a beautiful hermit writer. I could already see the books flying of the shelves! I've written so many but have never experience it! Gosh! Even the way we met is perfect! Now we just have to live the rest of the story! Isn't it exciting?"

Seeing her bright eyes light up and her big smile Omkara couldn't help but laugh. Even Pinky and Jhanvi couldn't contain it any longer.

Jhanvi: Son you are right. There is only light in her.

From that day forth he had experience nothing but laughter and joy being with Gauri. When she said that they were going to live her new story he knew she was the one he couldn't live without. Opening the black box to look at the shiny diamond ring that was personally customize by him Omkara smiled happily.

"And now she will get the happy ending to our book."

Gauri was so excited for today. Not only was it Valentine's day but it was also their one year anniversary where he would be taking her to the resort that they had spent last year's Valentine's Day. Wearing her favorite red dress Gauri ran out the door when she heard his car.

Omkara: Why can't you let me be a gentleman and knock on your door?

"Too cliche. I'm too excited. Plus I look better in natural light." Gauri laughed.

Walking over to her side Omkara opens the car door. "You look beautiful in any light."

When they finally arrived at the resort Gauri was surprised that there was no one at all.

"Where are all the people?"

Hugging her from the back Omkara whispers "As your rich boyfriend I have booked the entire resort for ourselves."

Her jaw almost dropped.

"Oh gosh! This is sooooo going in the book!"

Jumping up from the ground Gauri turns to hug Omkara tightly and when he took her to a room where a white dress was hung her eyes lit up!

"Wedding dress?"

"I want to take the same pictures that we took last year....you wearing this dress...and me wearing this tux."

The black tux looked so dashing and Gauri couldn't wait to change into her dress.

Omkara was the first to finish changing so he patiently waited for Gauri and when he heard her heels he turned around.

"Beautiful."

In this moment Omkara finally knew what people meant when they say "when your in love the world stops."

Her long black wavy hair complimented the dress perfectly and her diamond barrette on one side of her hair made her look magical.

"You look so handsome Omkara."

Seeing her blush made him want to just hold her forever.

As the day went on they took pictures on the cliff...in the very water he lifted her....and then at night where they had dinner.

"I just love this Omkara...it's perfect."

"No it's not."

Looking confused Gauri asked him "how come?"

"Don't you remember how you ran towards the beach after realizing I was not from the Rent A Valentine company?"

Her cheeks were now flushed in embarrassment and when he extended his hand out towards her she didn't hesitate to follow him towards the water.

When she felt him stop walking Gauri turned to look at him only to see him get down on one knee.

"Omkara?"

"Gauri...I love you. I cannot imagine not having you in my life. You truly make it worth living. I wake up everyday excited to live my life...because of you. Will you marry me?"

Gauri could not believe it. The ring in front of her was breathtaking but the man holding it was what she loved most.

"Yes!"

Grabbing her excitedly Omkara started to twirl the woman he loved around and around.

"She said yes!!"

When he finally set her down did Gauri see her family and friends back at the dinning area looking at them.

"For a day like this of course I would share it with everyone."

Gauri could no longer contain her happiness. She kissed Omkara on the lips as happy tears rolled down her cheeks.

"I love you so much Gauri. For me...everyday is Valentines"
