Let me hide behind a temporary mask of confidence
Where I don't exist

And the red lipstick I can finally wear so boldly

Bathe me in white
So clean and crisp
With a smell so fresh
And the ability to get out of bed
Without feeling ashamed of the mess on my head

Envelop me in yellow
Happy, fulfilled
Dreams well accomplished
Feelings spared
The sun shining on a fellow yellow star

How I want this for myself
To be someone new
Hiding behind colors indistinguishable to you

These colors will protect me from who I used to be
Carry me to new places
Set me free

Unfortunately colors just aren't available to me

And never will be.
