poem: The Tree

I began my life  as a seed laid back in the soil
Being pampered with love and joy
Eating, drinking  unaware of the world
I sat in the soil

I grew up into a shoot
All Full of joy
Exploring the ground
For only the thing I could see

Soon I grew as a sapling
Stronger than before
Having buds all over my hands

I grew as a tree
Tougher than before
Bearing fruits for you all
Children climbed up my branches
And people lay beneath me shade
Birds lived in my trunk
And animals at my foot
Men used to collect fruits which fell
Wjuke I dropped my branches so loyal and fair

Soon my time came to an end
My fruits stopped growing
And so did my hair
Oh how mercilessly they cut my trunk
Just for a piece of chair
My screams and shrieks reached deaf ear
For the children who once I cared
Slashed their axe and had me dead

I was as tree so helpful and kind
But my journey was not defined
For once I was  a piece of  life
But now lifless I lie

All you will regret
All the trees you mercilessly sliced
For once rains which you all like
Will turn into a fright
Villages will submerge and cities collapse
For this is my evil spell for all the trees you have killed
