#2 Concept: Ocean

Deep in the sea, far away from the reaches of light and the sky, there exists an underwater city. It is almost pitch black, save for little lanterns and the glow of the marketplace.

Light is the most valuable thing in the city; often sold with live bioluminescent bugs and sea stars in small, meshed off containers.

The people there are incredibly pale and delicate, with thin webs and tiny claws between their fingers and toes, and gills helping them breathe. They smile with curved teeth, laugh in a high-pitched chirp. The beautiful city is gently nestled between a valley of undersea volcanoes, keeping them warm and safe from the world.

For thousands of years, they have lived peacefully in their infinitely quiet and dark home, believing that they are the only ones to exist. Forever isolated from whatever world there could be on the surface.

One day, the people catch sight of a strange and unfamiliar fish, with an almost blinding shine coming from the front. The strange fish stops, seemingly unmoving, and a man's voice comes from the fish in an unknown language.
Squealing back their confusion in their own, dolphin-like language, they draw closer and closer to the strange fish made of strange materials. The voice sounds amazed, and seems to be interested in the people of the sea.
"Who are you?" They ask, hoping he understands the message.

"What are you?" The voice asks, hoping they understand and don't attack him.

Neither understands each other, but both sides prefer to talk rather than fight. The sea-people seem both delicate and impressive at the same time, to the man, while to the sea-people, the man's strange fish is intimidating and unknown. After a while of confused silence, the man says something and starts to ascend back to the surface, a place the sea-people never realized existed.
