It is death
That always jolts our faith
It is death
That always make us question
What we believe in
That moment we realise

Reality sets in
The pain
The sorrow

And then we grow numb
We learn to smile again
But we never forget
The pain linger
And when we hear of
Another death
We learn to look away
Repressing our feelings
So as not to feel the pain

The pain of death
The pain that never goes away
Lingering and festering
All-day,everyday
We look at this thing
And we remember that person
We hear this thing
And we remember again
And on and on it goes
It shapes our lives
We make decisions around it

And at the end of our lives
At a moment if we have the
Knowledge of our own death
We ask the left behind to stay happy
It is that one lesson we all never learn untill death
