6- Shayume~
Heyyos peeps, so this is a one shot involving my two OC's Shane and Akiyume. I hope you enjoy it~ I know, or at least have a feeling TheNewEclipse will enjoy this XD
"Shae-Shae, look, we're here!!"
The purple haired girl was practically jumping up and down, excited about being in the carnival with her raven haired boyfriend. They were currently celebrating their 6 year anniversary of being together, and both decided to have some fun at the carnival that Akiyume wanted to visit. Shane blushed, smiling at her current childish behavior. "Y-Yup, we've finally arrived. W-What r-ride do you want to go on?"
Akiyume started thinking. Shane smiled to himself. He never really said it out loud to her, but he always finds her concentrated face to be very cute.
"There!!"
Shane slightly jumped, but then looked to see where Akiyume was pointing to. She happened to have set her eyes on a ride that Shane clearly recognized to be the flying chairs ride. Shane smiled and nodded. "O-Okay, let's go ride that then! C-Can I g-grab your hand?"
Akiyume giggled at Shane's question. He always seemed to want to ask permission to do things, even after all this time. "Of course Shae-Shae, you should already know by now, after 6 years that you can hold my hands without asking me." Shane's blush returned as he murmured "Sorry, it's still a bad habit I have," and rubbed his neck sheepishly.
"It's okay Shae-Shae, I think it's adorable and charming that you still ask for permission to do things, but just know that I'll probably allow it," Akiyume reassured Shane while taking a hold of his hand. Shane simply smiled, looking into Akiyume's green eyes. "Then let's go on the ride quickly before the line grows larger!"
The couple went running to the line. There they decided to take out the map they had received at the gate and looked at the rides they could go on. Both were enjoying the closeness, even without saying it out loud. They were able to communicate such feelings even in silence, without words, just simple actions.
Soon Shane and Akiyume were up at the front and ready to get on the ride. Both made sure to get on a swing next to each other and placed the belt on. They looked at each other and Shane decided to reach out and hold Akiyume's hand. He felt her close her fingers and lock her fingers with his.
As the employer began to list down the rules for the ride, Shane started losing himself in his thoughts. He looked over to Akiyume, and took in her features. Her large green eyes, her long silky violet hair, everything inch of her was pure perfection in Shane's eyes. She's definitely the one for me, Shane thought to himself. He thought about the box in his pocket holding the object that would bind the pair together. I want to make everything perfect, though I just hope I don't mess up.
"Sir, Sir!" A sharp voice echoed in Shane's head. He shook his head and turned to see the man working the ride speak to him. "Can you please let the girl's hand go? It would be preferable before we start the ride so the possibility of accidents can be kept at a minimum."
Shane's face immediately was painted red as his embarrassed emotions errupted. He let go of Akiyume's hand, hearing her try to reassure him that it was fine while he kept apologizing repeatedly. A bell sounded and soon the ride was rising and spinning, allowing the people to experience the feeling of flying in a circle. Shane's heart sped up slightly, the feeling of being in the air being pleasant and uplifting. He smiled as he recognized his girlfriend's laughter next to him, and turned to meet her gaze.
"Shae-Shae, let's spread our arms out!"
Doing as she said, Shane spread his arms wide and already predicted what Akiyume wanted to do.
"We believe we can flyyyyyy! We believe we can touch the skyyyy!!" The pair sung the well known song adjusting certain words.
It was moments like these that Shane cherished very well and kept them in his heart. It's the little things that prove to be special to him, and it's these moments that he wants to continue making with Akiyume. He feels that after 6 years of their story, he'd like to get onto the next chapter of their lives together.
The ride quickly came to an end and they had to go choose their next ride. Akiyume and Shane decided to go to the teacups next and soon they chose different kinds of rides. Then Akiyume wanted to go into the haunted house ride. Shane was skeptical at first and the poor boy soon found himself flinching at some of the jumpscares. There was one moment in which a sort of bloody monster fell from the ceiling and was close to hitting them that Akiyume shrieked and Shane immediately placed himself in front of Akiyume and proceeded to hug her. His protective instincts had clearly sinked in, and the couple earned an "awww" from the nearby people who were in the house as well. They quickly managed to exit the haunted house and Shane breathed out, "Let's take a more calmer ride."
"Good idea."
Both were pretty much out of breath from that house and decided to go take a boat ride. Akiyume leaned on Shane's shoulder while Shane tried not to faint from all the blood rushing to his head. He decided to wrap an arm around Akiyume, and pulled her close beside him. He noticed that the sun was starting to set, and a pair of swans were swimming in the lake together. A couple of rose petals could be found floating gently on the water, and added to the wonderful vibrant colors of yellow, red, orange and pink. Akiyume sighed and snuggled closer to the raven haired boy. It was very easy for people to grow lethargic in such a lighthearted setting. They were nearing an arc that was shaped in the form of a heart. His own heart was pounding fast as he felt like this was the time to ask the important question that would change their lives.
"H-Hey Akiyume. I want to a-ask you something." Akiyume turned her gaze to Shane, the scenery reflecting in her bright emerald eyes. Shane took a deep breath, and relaxed. He cleared his voice and prepared his speech.
"I-I know I probably should have told y-you this sooner, but-" Shane stopped and shook his head. With determined eyes, he continued speaking and for the first time ever with confidence.
"Akiyume Melodia, from the moment I met you, from the moment I laid eyes on you, something inside me started blossoming. Like a flower, this feeling started developing into a crush that made me more of a nerve-wracking fool who didn't have much of the courage to ask you out. It was until I was encouraged by our friends that I managed to send my confession out to you. When you said "yes," the bud of the flower burst open, the bud finally blossoming and revealing an indescribable beauty that I learned was called "love." Within these 6 years, that flower kept maturing, and it's at this point that I'd like for it to become an eternal flower."
"In other words," he continued while turning towards his pocket and reaching for the coal black box he fished it out with shaky hands and careful kneeled on one knee on the boat. Meanwhile Akiyume was already tearing up and was bursting with excitement. Shane opened up the box revealing a beautiful flower ring with a blue diamond-shaped gem in the center.
"Akiyume Melodía, my eternal love, will you continue to be with me for the rest of our lives and m-marry me?"
"YES!!!!!!!!!!" Akiyume shouted and launched herself at the kneeling boy. Shane just barely managed embrace her and keep the boat steady since the impact shook the boat. Shane hugged Akiyume tightly and finally allowed the tears he had held in. He only broke up the hug in order to place the ring on Akiyume's finger. Soon they came together in a delightful kiss of pure love.
The sun had finally set on the now engaged couple while their boat arrived to the arc, and they released the kiss only to look up at the sky full of stars.
Wasn't this romantic~? I'm hoping you guys enjoyed this as much as I did imagining this and writing it n.n See you all on the next one-shot!!
