"Honey, look!" Eclipse called out to Francis in delight at the invitation she received from one of her dear friends, Shaylah, who was called Shay or Shay-chan for short. Francis came out of the kitchen, wearing a slightly floured apron, and hugged Eclipse from behind. "What is it, my darling little rose?," Francis queried in a hushed tone behind Eclipse's ear. Before the now blushing female could respond, she heard the thundering footsteps of her two daughters. The two sisters came in their own little cooking outfits. Both were slightly covered in a layer of flour. Dusty, the shorter one, was following her older sister, Thistle. "Hey Dad, why did you leave us with the flour all of a sudden? Don't leave us like that," whined Thistle as she tried to dust off the flour from her hands. "Dusty decided to grab the flour and accidentally spilled some on the two of us." "Sowwy," the younger child lamented, a pout having been formed from the slight guilt she felt from having spilled the messy ingredient.
Francis turned around along with Eclipse and saw how messy the two girls were, and Eclipse merely giggled at the sight. "Well it looks like you two are going to be needing a bath," Eclipse said.
"Awww, but we just took a bath yesterday," Thistle complained. "Yay, bath time!" Dusty exclaimed while jumping up and down, all the guilt having been completely dissipated from the mention of a bath. "Don't be sad Thistle, if you take your bath with Dusty, then we'll definitely take you two with Francis and I to the beach party your Auntie Shay has invited us to tomorrow." "We're going to the beach again, love?" Francis questioned while turning Eclipse around to look into her eyes. Eclipse nodded, and the children cheered, and quickly went off to take their bath with great haste. The couple laughed at the actions of their children.
"Now, I'll go ahead and bathe the girls while you go clean up in the kitchen and finish what you were doing with the girls," Eclipse stated as she poked Francis' sturdy chest when she referred to him. Francis smiled and bowed, saying "Yes, ma chérie~," and kissed Eclipse's forehead and went to do his work in the kitchen in a matter of seconds. Eclipse blushed once more and went to do her own bidding in the bathroom.
The next day Eclipse was texting her friends about where to meet in the beach and at the same time prepared the bags for her two daughters and her own. Francis was meanwhile preparing his own bag and a little snack for the family while making sure the girls had tied their shoes on. Noticing Dusty having some difficulty tying the laces together, he was about to go help her, but Thistle quick beat him to it. "Don't worry Dad, I've got this. I know how to tie shoelaces!" Thistle said while taking Dusty's shoelaces and tied the said shoelaces together successfully. Thistle looked up, smiling at Dusty who cheered for her sister, and looked over to her dad, her grin baring her proud attitude at being able to tie her sister's shoes.
Francis smiled, nodded, and returned to the counter to finally wrap up the mini fruit salad he made as a snack for his children and wife. Once he finished packing everything up, he saw Eclipse come into the living room, her phone being held on her shoulders due to the fact that she had her hands occupied with holding the bags. Francis smiled at the different expressions she made while speaking with one of her friends, and quickly went to help Eclipse with the bags. "Allow me," Francis said while reaching out for the bags Eclipse was carrying. Eclipse shook her head, giving Francis a look saying that she was fine, and Francis ignored her and took the bags from her, and readied their car. Eclipse pouted, but kept on chatting on the phone and got the two girls ready into the car. She sat herself in the front of the seat, next to her husband who turned on the engine of the car and pulled out of the driveway. And they were off to the beach.
"Hey honey?" Eclipse said once she hung up on her friend.
"Yes, darling?" Francis answered while maintaining his eyes on the road.
"I got a call from Mari asking if we could pick her up along with Taiyou so that they can go to Shay's beach party."
"I'm sure we can pick them up," Francis replied while arriving at a stop sign. The two girls laughed, happy that their Uncle Taiyou and Auntie Mari would be coming along with them. Francis maneuvered the wheel and headed in the direction of Mari and Taiyou's home. There they met the two mentioned people, who thanked them for having accepted their request. "Hey bro, how's it going?" Taiyou asked Francis while placing his own bags and Mari's bags into the trunk. "Everything's well, thanks for asking Taiyou," Francis said, and high-fived the brunette as soon as he went over to greet him face to face. "Hello there Eclipse, it's nice seeing you," Mari smiled and greeted her friend. Eclipse waved and greeted back. Mari and Taiyou got into the car along with the two daughters who greeted the two with huge smiles. Thistle was quick to start up a conversation with her uncle. "Hey Uncle Taiyou, can you tell us another one of your prank stories!!" The girl pleaded with large curious eyes. "Yes, tell us a prank story!!" Dusty agreed, smiling. Mari rolled her eyes, slightly smiling as she saw Taiyou's own honey-colored orbs light up in excitement. He's very much like a child sometimes, Mari thought to herself as she watched Taiyou rub his hands together. "Alright kiddos, I'll give you two a doozy!"
And the brunette told the attentive children one of his many prank stories, entertaining everyone during the ride to the beach. He managed to make the ride feel like it was short, because all of a sudden they arrived at the beach.
"We're here~," Eclipse sang, and everyone got out of the car. The tall males stretched out their limbs, and the little girls jumped out of the car and started running into the entrance of the beach. "WAIT GIRLS!!" Both Eclipse and Mari shouted, yet their shouts were in vain. Taiyou was getting ready to sprint, but stopped when he saw a tall figure approaching them with the girls hugging the figure's feet. Or rather, it was one figure on top of another.
"Mother dearest, is that you?" Francis questioned while looking up. No, the short brunette did not grow a couple of feet.
"Hey Musical, hey Natsuki, what's up?" Taiyou greeted. The blonde boy had the green eyed girl sitting on his shoulders while Thistle and Dusty were found holding onto the friendly boy's legs. They giggled every time the boy took a large step.
"Hey Taiyou, hey Francis, hey Mari, and hey Eclipse!! Well, technically I am," Musical joked while laughing. Natsuki smiled and said "Hey Tai-chan, Fran-chan, Ma-chan, and Ecli-chan!! We saw the two adorable girls coming into the beach when we were just passing by, and they found us. They just ran and grabbed onto my feet!"
"Yup, while Na-chan was giving me a little ride and letting me experience being tall, we spotted Thistle and Dusty running over here, and concluded that you guys were here! Actually, Natsuki, Masato and I are in charge of finding you guys and directing you to where the party is," Musical explained in detail. "Though while Natsuki decided to start running through a crowd of people, we kinda lost Masato along the way," she added with an embarrassed blush. Natsuki laughed, and said, "Yeah, sorry about that, though I think we can spot him with you on my shoulders."
"Or rather, I can easily spot you," a new voice spoke out. The group turned to find a bluenette slightly out of breath.
"Masa-chan, you're here!" Musical burst out as she was placed on the ground by Natsuki. "Sorry about going off like that with Mus-chan," Natsuki apologized. "Yeah, sorry about leaving like that, we just spotted Eclipse and Francis' children and Natsuki just ran to get them before they got lost, and lost you in the process," Musical said, looking down at the ground feeling guilty for leaving the blue haired pianist behind.
Masato's stern gaze softened at the short girl who was sincerely sorry, and placed his hand on top of the girl's head, and said, "It's alright, don't worry about it. I was just worried that you'd fall from Natsuki-san running at that speed. I think we should focus on guiding them to the party now."
"HEY OKASA, ECLIPSE-CHAN, EVERY POTATO, WHAT ARE YOU ALL DOING STANDING THERE, COME ON OVER HERE!!!!!" a familiar voice screamed out. Everyone peered over to a dark haired girl who was shouting through a loudspeaker while piggyback riding another dark haired boy.
"Hey Shay-chan, hey Tokiya!" Everyone waved at the approaching pair. "What's taking you all so long?" The dark-haired male carrying Shay-chan asked the group. "We actually recently arrived, but we're coming over there now," Eclipse responded, and picked up the bag she had placed down before when her daughters ran off. Francis, Taiyou and the rest of the males decided to help with most of bags and walked towards the area Shay had reserved for the party. There they met Shane and Akiyume, as well as Moonlight, Otoya, and Syo, who were playing a round of volleyball. They seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Taiyou and Natsuki immediately ran off to play volleyball, making Musical burst into laughter at how quickly they sped off. Mari just shook her head and laughed as well.
"Hey, what do you say we go play some volleyball with the peeps?" Musical asked the group once they set their supplies down. "That sounds like fun, though I'd like to take it easy for a bit," Mari said. "I'll probably read for a bit first," she added. "Hey Auntie Mari, can you read to us a story?" Dusty asked, giving the blonde girl the puppy eyes. Mari smiled softly, and said, "Of course, just follow me." Taking the hands of the two girls, she walked off with them near the volleyball game.
"I'll play," Shay-chan stated, jumping off of Tokiya's back and running over to the game. "I'll go play as well," Tokiya said and ran off to be with Shay. "I think I might want to walk along the beach first," said Eclipse, and Francis placed his hand on her shoulder, saying "I'll be accompanying Eclipse in that walk." Musical smiled at the pair, squealing inside. "But we'll need some of you to take care of Thistle and Dusty along with Mari, if you guys don't mind," Eclipse asked.
"Would you like for us to take care of your children?" Masato offered and Musical nodded, saying "We'll keep an eye on them along with the rest of the group that's playing volleyball!"
"That sounds like a wonderful idea. Just please keep them safe," Francis said while looking over to where Mari had sat down with his daughters, reading to them a large storybook she had brought with her.
"Of course, we've got you covered, you just go and enjoy your alone time with Eclipse there," Musical said while winking, and soon ran off to where the girls were. Eclipse blushed while Francis chuckled, saying "No can do mother!!" "Alright, I'll be off after Musical-san. May you enjoy your walk," Masato said while bowing.
"There's no need to be formal Masato," Eclipse said. "Now go with your own love there," she teased, giggling at the blush that grew on Masato's face. Francis chuckled at the boy who was at a loss for words, and said, "You just enjoy your evening as well. Now, if you'll excuse us, we'll be heading off."
Masato watched the couple leave, and headed to the volleyball game that was happening. He looked over and saw that Thistle and Dusty were now being shown how to play volleyball by Taiyou and Natsuki.
"Alright, so you have to make a fist with your dominant hand and hold the ball with your non dominant hand," Taiyou explained and demonstrated. Thistle closed her right hand and Dusty closed her left hand into a fist. "No Dusty, you're supposed to close your writing hand," Thistle explained and Dusty cocked her head to the side, her face expressing confusion. "Dusty-chan, with which hand do you write or draw with?" Natsuki asked. "With this hand!" Dusty said while lifting up her right hand. "Okay, then close that hand into a fist," Natsuki ordered nicely. Dusty did as she was told and received a "Good job!" and an applause from the tall blonde. She smiled, and Thistle said, "When can we hit the ball now?"
"Well, you've got to hold the ball in your other hand, throw it up and then try to hit the ball with your hand that's in a fist in a swinging motion," Taiyou said and provided an example by hitting the volleyball. It went over the net and Akiyume hit the ball, passing it back to Taiyou. "Now you try! Just make sure you hit the middle of the volleyball so you can get the best results," Taiyou said to the girls.
"Alright!" Thistle shouted and threw the ball slightly into the air and hit it with all her strength. Dusty also threw it in the air, and tried to hit the ball, but was unsuccessful, since it was much too hard for her to hit the hard volleyball. She pouted, but looked at Thistle's ball zoom over the net and head straight to Shane's head. It hit the poor shy boy straight on the forehead, causing the two girls to gasp. Shane shut his eyes, and winced at the sudden contact, and rubbed his forehead.
"Oh my gosh, I'm really sorry Uncle Shane," Thistle apologized, feeling guilty for having accidentally hit her uncle. Shane smiled, and said, "I-It's alright, I'm just glad t-that you g-guys didn't get hit."
"Are you sure you're alright?" Musical questioned, looking over the boy.
"Yeah, that seemed like a strong hit," Masato commented once he approached the group.
Akiyume flew over to Shane, and inspected his face closely, and lifted the hair that covered a lot of his face. Shane blushed at the strong gaze Akiyume had fixed on him, and she said, "You seem to be alright, but your forehead is turning red. Are you sure you don't want to put anything on it?"
Shane shook his head, saying "I-It's okay, I-I'm f-f-fine."
That's when a brilliant idea came over the youngest girl.
"Hey Auntie Akiyume, what if you kissed Uncle Shane's boo-boo to make him feel better?" Dusty suggested innocently. Thistle grinned, and said, "Yeah, give him a nice little kiss on his forehead!" Shane blushed immediately at that suggestion, and Akiyume's eyes widened slightly before she laughed, blushing a light pink, and said, "Well if it is of any help, alright."
She quickly went over to Shane's face, lifted the hair that covered his forehead, and kissed it. Shane's blush became worse, and Thistle began singing "Uncle Shane and Auntie 'yume sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" and Dusty followed along. Everyone awed at the pair who were a blushing mess, and then Moonlight squealed along with Musical, saying "How cute!!!"
"Alright, we should now start playing some more volleyball!!" Shay exclaimed and hit the ball, gaining the attention of everyone, and causing Otoya and Syo to reach for the ball before it fell onto the sand. Shane looked over to Shaylah, and mouthed the words "Thank you," to which she just winked and then looked to see Tokiya save her from getting hit by the volleyball herself. At that point, some more people came, like Larkin and Levi, who came from a dinner where they had eaten the platinum blonde's favorite dish, crab legs. They soon joined in on the volleyball game, and enjoyed themselves.
While they were playing volleyball, in another part of the beach, close to the ocean, Francis and Eclipse were holding hands, walking along the shorelines.
"It's really nice out here," Eclipse stated while walking closer to Francis. Francis squeezed Eclipse's smaller hand gently, and hummed in agreement, saying "It is only nice, no, amazing because I'm walking down the beach with you, my darling," and looked down to meet Eclipse's gaze and winked. The brown haired girl smiled up at the taller brunette, and said, "I should be saying that," and laughed.
They continued walking down the beach, and spotted some seashells here and there, and Eclipse would collect some of them, showing them to Francis. Francis simply smiled, but focused more on the love of his life just enjoying herself and noticed how the wind blew through her hair and played with it, causing the girl to repeatedly tuck the loose strands behind her ear. He noticed such simple things and found himself staring too long, and blushed slightly when Eclipse was waving her hand in his face.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" Francis asked, looking down at Eclipse. She pouted, saying, "I was pointing out at a dolphin in the distance, but you didn't get to see it."
"Oh, I'm sorry my little rose. I was just caught in a daze just looking at you and this wonderful scenery which compliments your beauty that I couldn't help but simply stare and lose myself in my thoughts."
Eclipse's pout immediately disappeared, and was replaced with a wide smile. She ran over to Francis and hugged him. Francis held her gently and kissed the top of her head, and the two stayed in each other's embrace for a while, the water licking their feet, and the wind brushing through them, making them pull each other close, for they each provided the warm source they needed. Eclipse removed her head from Francis' warm sturdy chest and looked up to meet his clear blue eyes, which appeared to be bluer than the ocean itself. Francis looked down at Eclipse's warm and bright hazel eyes which seemed to sparkle as the sun was slowly descending. Eclipse felt Francis lift his hands towards her face, his thumbs caressing her cheeks, and she leaned into the palms of his hands, holding one, and said, "I love you."
Francis smiled, and leaned in, and whispered "I love you too" before he kissed Eclipse tenderly. It was as if fireworks were exploding with each kiss. It was a feeling both knew very well, like the moment they first kissed. Eclipse wrapped her arms around Francis' neck, and Francis continued holding Eclipse's face, trying to bring themselves closer if possible.
Unfortunately, they had to break the contact due to the lack of oxygen in their systems. They broke apart, and stared into each other's eyes, the colorful colors of the sunset illuminating in each other's bright orbs. They looked to the side and saw the warm colors that were pained across the sky.
"Wow, the sky looks so mesmerizing," Eclipse breathed, somewhat walking over to get a better view on some rocks. Francis followed suit and muttered, "It is, it leaves me at a loss of words, just like you." Eclipse turned around and her face met Francis' sincere one.
Eclipse smiled, and simply leaned on Francis, watching the sun go down. She felt at ease with her husband, and felt herself getting slightly tired. She closed her eyes for a bit, and rested against Francis, who in return held her, and pet her head. She was awakened by the sound of splashing, and saw that almost everyone had gone into the ocean and were swimming over. She saw her children riding Natsuki and Taiyou, who were swimming at full speed, but made sure the girls were still safe and on their shoulders. The girls squealed, and saw their parents, and shouted "Mom!! Dad!!! Look, we're riding Uncle Taiyou and Natsuki!!!!" Eclipse laughed along with Francis at the sight, and Francis shouted "Just be careful!!!"
Shay swam freestyle, and then stopped once she was a good distance from the couple, and said "They wanted to see you, so we decided to look for you two by swimming!"
It was at that moment that seemingly out of nowhere Musical, and Larkin jumped up from the waters, and shouted "RAWR WE'RE SHARKS!!!!"
Shay was slightly alarmed at the presence of her friends, and laughed, saying "Good job, fellow shark friends, but you seriously got me there when I felt something swimming close to me."
Musical laughed while Larkin said, "Aww pooey, so we were spotted."
That's when Levi snuck behind Larkin without her knowing, and whispered in her ear. "You have to sneak up behind them like this you brat."
Larkin shouted and was about to accidentally hit Levi due to her reflexes, but was hugged by the clean-obsessed boy. "Tch, calm down, it's just me." Everyone laughed, and got out of the now dark looking waters, and decided to walk back to the party. Syo, Otoya, Moonlight, and Mari had stayed back to turn on the colorful lantern lights they had initially placed earlier. "Oh, you guys are back," Mari said as she got down from the ladder she was on. Taiyou ran over to her, saying "Yup, you guys did a great job turning the lanterns on they look amazing!" He hugged Mari and spun her around, earning many "awwws" from everyone. Mari smiled, and kissed Taiyou's cheek lightly, saying, "Thanks sweetie."
"We're actually going to set up some music now also," Moonlight said, and on cue, Syo turned on the music, and Otoya played a nice song to dance to on his iPad. He also left a microphone for anyone who wanted to sing a song to sing it on there.
And so everyone had fun, and danced with each other be it in groups or as pairs, and enjoyed the rest of their night in the beach.
And another one-shot's been finished. What do you guys think of this long one? I apologize again for having taken so long in updating.
~Musical
