Francis' POV

"Hey Francis, what do you suppose we should do while the kids are having a sleepover party at Larkin's house?" My darling little rose asked me. We had just finished leaving our children in Larkin's home and I was driving in the car. I looked ahead while holding my wife's hand, our hands clasped together. I brought her hand to my lips to kiss while she blushed adorably as I said, "Whatever you'd like to do my darling rose~."

I can already imagine the smile forming on her face as I smirk, my eyes still up ahead so I don't crash and place her in danger.

"Well I don't know," Eclipse said, and I imagined her face forming that thinking expression, or expression she does in general whenever she's thinking about something. "Are you sure you don't want to do anything in particular?"

"As long as I'm with you, it matters not to me what we do my dear little rose," I said truthfully. We reached a stop sign and I looked over to her beautiful hazel orbs and smiled. I leaned in and pecked her lips before I noticed the light change. We passed by an ice cream parlor and noticed from the corner of my eye that she was looking at the parlor. I made a turn to park the car, and said, "How's about we start our day with some ice cream?"

I noticed her eyes brighten at the idea and saw her nod vigorously. I chuckled. She's so cute in every way, not to mention beautiful.

I quickly got out of the car and went to her side to open the door for her. I offered her my hand, and helped her out. She thanked me, and I merely said, "It is my pleasure to serve you my darling~," and winked. This caused her face to flush a beautiful rosy red. We hooked our arms together and walked into the ice cream store.

It looked very colorful like most stores that sold the cold delicacy and I watched as Eclipse walked straight over to the ice cream flavors and started choosing her favorite flavors. I walked over and also chose coffee and vanilla icecream. I noticed the cashier looking at Eclipse in a manner I didn't exactly like. So, I did what any husband would do. I walked over and wrapped my arm around her waist protectively, and said, "How much will it be for my wife and I?" The cashier looked slightly disappointed and said, "That'll be $6.75, sir."

I paid the boy the right amount and then took Eclipse back to the car. "But it's nice and cold in here," she said, not looking forward to the heat. It seems like she didn't notice the way that boy was looking at her. "It's alright my darling little rose, we have the AC in the car, we'll be fine. In the mean time we can think of something we can do." I opened the car door for her and let her inside as I went to my own seat by the wheel. She agreed, and the two of us enjoyed our ice cream. I couldn't help but look at her happily enjoying her treat. I loved seeing her smile like that, a smile that I could look at all day and never get tired from it.

Eclipse looked up from her ice cream and noticed me staring, and said, "D-Do I have something on my face?" She looked a bit bashful. I smiled, and then said, "You don't have anything on your face. But I do admit, that something you are missing are my kisses~!"

Her face flared up once again. I smirked and leaned over and planted my kisses all over her face. She giggled and soon my lips clashed with her own. The sweet taste of her ice cream flavor and mine mixed together as we continued our act of love. Of course, I decided to tease her and then backed away. She pouted and I chuckled. "From the looks of it, you were enjoying that, almost as much as you were enjoying your ice cream~!"

She blushed and looked away, and I said, "Thistle really did get your bashfulness." I pecked her cheek as she turned to look at me and nodded.

She smiled and said, "I guess she did, especially since your son-in-law Mathieu can be very sweet." I felt myself frown slightly as I said, "Let's not be so haste, he isn't my son-in-law my darling little rose."

"Not yet~!" She was teasing me, that much is certain.

"Francis you're really such a jelly father," Eclipse said laughing at me and poking my chest.

"It's not my fault I appear like that, I just want our children to be happy," I said in my defense.

"I do too Francis, but you just take things too far," said Eclipse. "Their partners are trustworthy, you and I both know that. How many times have we had this conversation, hm?"

"A lot," I said. "But you're right, I'm starting to get used to seeing our children with their own loves despite my fretting, or melodramatic tendencies as you'd probably say." Eclipse chuckled girl-like and I just smiled. I then felt something cold touch my hand and noticed that my ice cream was starting to melt. "In any case we should finish these ice creams before they melt," I said, licking the part where the ice cream dripped onto my hand. Eclipse nodded and returned to her own ice cream.

After we finished, we decided to drive for a while trying to look for places we could go to. I thought that we could go check out the library. I drove her over to the library where my dear little rose was checking every shelf. She finally spotted a book that peaked her interest. She tried to take it by jumping, but couldn't. I strided over and plucked the book off the shelf. I read the title in my head. Rosette's Story. I handed it to her. She smiled up at me and thanked me while I said, "You're most certainly welcome my darling," and took the chance to peck her pink lips. She blushed and said, "Say, Francis, why don't we go read this book outside in the park?"

"If you wish to do so, my little rose," I responded with a grin. We took the book out, and soon headed to the park where we found a nice place that had a bench, which was shaded by a large thick tree. I sat down next to my wife and wrapped an arm around her as I saw her slice her finger through the book and found the first page. She cleared her throat and read the pages allowed. I relaxed and envisioned the story within my mind.

"There once lived a sweet imaginative girl who went by the name of Rosette Rivers who always had her head submerged in a book. Daily she'd be found with a book in her hand. Everyone would wonder if the girl ever did anything else other than reading stories. No one could defeat her love for the stories the books presented to her. She fell in love with every single character and always wished to find her soul mate as most characters ended up finding.

Rosette always found that the characters the authors described were more human than the actual human beings around her. Her mind understood that the reality she lived was none like the life in her books. She forever longed to one day wake up in one of the stories she loved.

Little did she know, a boy always stood by watching her read. This boy was called Harrison Goodwin. He happened to meet her by chance in the library as they both reached for a book that fell down in front of them. Others would call it cliché; he called it fate. They had gazed into each other's eyes, and he fell for her golden eyes that coveted something he couldn't figure out.

He had since then admired her from afar while he wrote his plays and stories. Yes, Harrison is an avid author and play-writer. He tended to relate his stories to his feelings and tried to obtain ideas from his life..."

My darling little rose continued to read to me. Her serene voice was delightfully pleasant to my ears. She finished the little introduction of the book, and looked up, noticing the time. "Hey Francis, I think we should head home, how many quarters did you place into the parking machine?"

I snapped out of my thoughts and said, "We have to be there by 6:45 pm."

"Honey, it's 6:35."

"Well then I guess we should head off then, my darling." I stretched my arms as I saw Eclipse get up. I got up on my feet and interlocked fingers with her as we walked peacefully towards the car. I drove towards our home, my little rose picking out the music in the car and singing happily. I joined her occasionally, smiling at the joy she held in her voice. We pulled up onto our garage, and we exited the car, in which she fished out the keys. The dangled in her hand as she walked to the doorstep and unlocked the door. Hearing the click, we opened the door and entered the home.

"We're finally in home sweet home!" Eclipse said and plopped down onto the sofa. I smiled and said, "Indeed. If feels strange, finding our home vacant like this."

"Yeah, after all, our three kids would be with us, and we'd normally have a bunch of visits, especially from our friends," Eclipse said, laughing at some memories I presume.

"That is quite true," I said, laughing. "Why don't we watch a romantic movie, seeing that it isn't night yet?" I suggested, seeing Eclipse pick up the controller. "Sure, it's been a while since we watched one together," she said, and turned on the TV and went to Netflix. "Plus we could maybe snuggle together?" She said, her cheeks a light pink. I sat beside her and snaked an arm around her as I said, "That would be perfect."

Once we picked a movie, I brought her closer to me and kissed the top of her head, my face never distancing itself from her own. My chin rested on the top of her head and our eyes looked to the screen. We saw the fateful lovers and watched as they met in an awkward situation that in the end brought them closer. They were about to go into a make-out session, and at this point I looked down, and brought Eclipse's chin up to face me, her eyes sparkling, the light from the TV glinting off of her eyes. I inched closer and our lips made contact. I kissed her passionately, the kiss not faltering. Soon we started French kissing, and it seemed like we didn't pay attention to the movie as we were pretty much reenacting the kiss scene. It seems like that night, we were drenched in our love for each other.

Lels, how does this sound for a fluffy one-shot? I hope it was fluffy at least XD X3 I hope you enjoyed this one-shot TheNewEclipse!! I know Francis did XD

Francis: That, is very true, though you were a tad suggestive with the end.

Me: Lol, that was the one-shot told in your perspective, so there! Let your imagination go wild, that's what I think sounds like fun. In a way, that's the reason for the dreams I get I think. Peeps may dream about this, who knows?

Francis: That is an interesting way of seeing this abrupt ending. I would enjoy having a dream as such with my darling little rose, that's for sure *winks*

Me: Lels, and he's off flirting XD

And, I randomly wrote up a little intro of that story Eclipse read out loud. Do you guys find it an intriguing story? I could potentially start writing a full blown story about it :3 but I'm not sure yet.
Till the next one-shot~!!
