"Achoo!!" Marigold sneezed into her tissue, her dirty blonde hair a mess. It was placed into a simple braid which had strands poking out in certain parts of the braid. She was still wearing her orange pajama and had a profuse amount of used tissues hear and there, scattered on her bed. Her trash bin was already filled to the brim with tissues and empty containers that once held her medicine pills. She shivered from the invisible nonexistent wind making the small hairs on her skin rise, resulting in goosebumps.

"Getting sick is such a nuisance," she whispered to herself in a hoarse voice. She felt so horrible; it's only been two days and she already wants to get better.

"Mari, do you need more tissues?" A loud voice called from her kitchen. Mari looked to her side and noticed that she was almost done with the tissues. "Yeah, please bring another box if you don't mind," Mari tried saying in her loudest voice which just sounded like a normal indoor voice.

Taiyou came into her bedroom with a hot bowl of soup he made, along with a square box of tissues which had a marigold design on it.

"I brought ya some soup I made," Taiyou smiled warmly while walking over quickly to his girlfriend. He grinned as he saw her pout and sniff; he thought she looked so adorable and beautiful despite her messy appearance. He placed the box of tissues right by her bedside and kneeled down. He took a piece of garnish from the bowl and placed it on the plate he brought with the bowl. He held the round bowl close to Marigold, saying, "I'm going to feed you the soup!" Marigold felt her already warm cheeks heat up, and said, "I-It's fine I can eat the soup by myself, I don't need you to spoon-fe-"

Taiyou took his chance and placed the warm spoonful of soup into Marigold's mouth, who just managed to swallow it. "Careful Taiyou, you could have choked me with the food," she lectured with her raspy voice. The brunette laughed sheepishly.

"It's okay Mari-chan, I wouldn't let you get hurt by me, I'm trying my best to be as gentle as possible," Taiyou insisted, his voice for once serious; yet it still held that caring undertone. He placed the spoon back into the bowl and lifted it back up, and brought it close to his lips where he blew on the spoon and then brought close to Marigold's mouth. "Now saw 'Aaaahhhh~!'" Taiyou said while opening his own mouth wide. Marigold couldn't help but roll her eyes and smile, a girly chuckle leaving her lips. "Gee, you're such a child sometimes Taiyou," she muttered while smiling at her boyfriend. Taiyou simply grinned widely, his mind thinking, I've finally got her smiling. She opened her mouth wide and received the nice delicious broth spreading over her tongue. She gulped and felt the soup sooth her tired throat.

The bubbly boy continued to spoon-feed his ill girlfriend until it was all gone. Taiyou looked at Marigold closer and noticed her complexion had improved greatly. He got close to her face and place a hand over her forehead. "You still feel warm, but I'd say that you've definitely gotten better. I think you should catch some z's Mari-chan so you'll be better in no time!"

"Thanks Taiyou. I'm sorry again for calling off our date," Marigold croaked, a frown adorning her face. Taiyou shook his head, saying, "Don't say "calling it off." It's more like postponing it if you ask me." He grinned at the blonde girl, his happiness virtually radiating off of him. "And I don't mind taking care of my Marigold~!"

Mari smiled meekly, a bit timorous, and said, "Thank you Taiyou."

"It's all good, you just rest up, and I'll keep watch over ya," Taiyou said softly, and leaned down and kissed Marigold's forehead.

"Careful Taiyou, I don't want you to get sick because of me."

Taiyou smiled mischievously, and captured Marigold's lips in a quick, yet loving kiss. Mari blushed, slightly whining, "Taiyooou." He simply laughed silently, saying, "It's all worth it. As long as you get better, I don't mind catching a simple cold. I hardly get sick anyways! Now I need you to close your eyes and sleep, and dream about me."

Marigold just rose an eyebrow and Taiyou laughed, saying, "The last part's optional!"

Marigold once again felt her eyes go up to the ceiling of her room and come back down swiftly. She laughed and Taiyou said, "There's the laugh I've been looking for!"

Taiyou lay close by her bed, watch her sleep peacefully. He noticed her chest rise and fall with every breath she took, and wondered what the blonde was dreaming about. "I wonder if she's dreaming about me," he mused to himself quietly. He smiled, hoping that she was. Her face looked so peaceful, and he saw her lips curl up slightly. Looking outside the window, Taiyou noticed the sun start to set, the sky filled with vivid colors and swirls of cotton-like clouds. Taiyou felt his eyelids start drooping, and he looked at the time.

7:50 pm.

Taiyou chuckled to himself. "I've been watching over Mari for a couple of hours now. I think I've really honed my stalking skills," he said while stretching his limbs. He grunted, feeling his limbs start to relax as he felt the pinprixs tickling his arms and back as they reverted back to their normal state. He yawned and stood up. He looked at the full trash bin and picked it up, tying the bag and going outside of the home to place it in the large garbage bins outside. He came back inside and added another bag, and came back in Mari's room, seeing her still sound asleep. He placed the bin back in its original spot and picked up the tissues that littered her bed. Finally, he went to the nearby armchair where the blonde girl would read her books and fixed his gaze on Marigold. He felt his eyelids slowly droop. He yawned one last time before he let his head fall on his fist, his arm providing the support and turning into the pillow for his head.

Marigold felt her eyes flutter open, and she looked at the clock in her room.

2:24 am

She placed a hand over her face and wiped off the perspiration from her forehead. She turned her head and saw Taiyou sleeping on her armchair, his head lying lazily on his closed hand.

She got out of bed slowly, and walked closer to the brunette. His hair was covering most of his hand, and was more or less the thin cushion between his head and hand. She went into her closet and pulled out a blanket and draped it over the tired boy. "He's really tuckered out. He looks just like a child when he's asleep." Taiyou's lashes looked so curly, and his mouth seemed to almost pout as it was slightly open. She moved some of his hair away from his head, and then quietly went to adjust the armchair.

It reclined and soon Taiyou was now lying on the cushion of the chair. She retrieved a pillow and gently lifted his head, hoping not to wake him up. Taiyou shifted in his sleep, making Marigold flinch, but relax when she realized that he was simply moving around. She smiled, looking at the boy with loving eyes. Once she saw that Taiyou was more comfortable, she left her room and went to the bathroom. She then went into her kitchen and poured herself a glass of room temperature water, and took one of her pills, and popped it into her mouth and drank the water, swallowing the entire pill.

She coughed a bit, and turned back and returned to her room. She felt a shiver run down her spine, but paid no mind to it. She moved her blanket away and lied down in bed and covered herself with her thick blanket and tried falling back to sleep.

A couple of days had passed and Marigold felt 100 times better. She heard a knock on her door and she said, "Come in, Taiyou," already knowing that it was her boyfriend.

"How's my Mari feelin'?" Taiyou asked while opening the door.

"I'm definitely better now, thanks to you Doctor Otonashi," Mari said.

"First give me a little twirl," Taiyou said.

"Why?"

"JUST, DO IT!" Taiyou shouted while imitating Shia LaBeouf.

Marigold rolled her eyes once more at Taiyou's childish behavior, but complied and did a twirl. Taiyou smiled and clapped, saying, "You are indeed better, if I do say so myself! Another illness has been cured."

Mari laughed saying, "Yeah, how ever did you do it, doctor?"

Taiyou straightened up, and checked out his fingers, saying, "It was pure hardwork and dedication, Miss Chie."

"I think I'd like to go outside now, Doctor Otonashi, is it okay with you?" Mari asked, continuing their little game.

"But of course, Ms. Chie, as long as I can escort you," Taiyou said while bowing down and offering his hand out. Mari clasped her hand around his, and their two hands embraced each other. With that, the two walked out hand in hand out of the girl's home, and Taiyou began sprinting while Marigold just barely caught up to the boy.

"Slow down Taiyou!" She said. He stopped and kneeled down, saying, "I really want to take you to the park that opened up, so jump on my back!"

Marigold felt like refusing, but nodded, and quickly got on Taiyou's back. Making sure he had a nice grip on his girlfriend he said, "Are you ready?" Mari said, "Yeah," and Taiyou sprinted down the street. Mari wondered where Taiyou got such agility, speed, and strength. It was insane how energetic this boy was.

Taiyou finally came to a stop, and kneeled down so Marigold could get off of his back. She felt her feet touch the floor and looked at her boyfriend to see him stand up straight and grab her hand quickly, pulling her into the new park. She gazed at the big glorious park and took in all of its features. There was a little playground for children to play, and a couple of benches here and there, and grand plain fields for children to play sports and such. The pair saw people riding bikes, and walking down the park. Taiyou pulled Mari's hand, leading her to a ginormous willow tree where a nice little bench was. He sat down with Mari and said, "What do you think of the park?" He looked expectantly into her golden eyes. The wind blew threw her hair, pulling weakly at her ponytail. Taiyou swept some of her bangs to the side and caressed her cheek. Mari placed her own hand over his and hugged it, saying, "It's really beautiful, thanks for taking me here Taiyou."

"I'm glad you liked it. I know how much you love nature and reading, so I thought that you'd like this park. It opened a couple of weeks ago and thought that it'd be the perfect spot for you."

"That was really thoughtful of you Taiyou," Marigold said softly. Taiyou grinned, saying, "Don't mention it!" He leaned in and kissed the blonde's soft lips with his own, their lips fitting together perfectly. Their lips danced along with one another in almost perfect sync, and Taiyou's other hand went right behind the small of Marigold's back, and brought her close to him. Mari cupped Taiyou's face, her left hand later running through Taiyou's hair that swept to the right side of his face.

The continued their mini make out session until they felt a couple of curious eyes. They parted, and met with the round eyes of four children. One child held a soccer ball in his hand.

"Coach Otonashi, is that you?" A freckle-faced boy called out to the brunette, who smiled as he recognized the kids.

"Hey everyone, it's been a while!" The honey-color eyed boy said while standing up.

"Coach, is that your girlfriend? The one you always talk about?" A girl asked, her face in wonder. Mari smiled warmly at the children and nodded, standing up. Taiyou laughed and wrapped an arm around his girlfriend, saying, "Yup~! My one and only~!" He pecked Mari on the cheek while the little girls said "Awwww, that's so romantic~!" The boys weren't sure how to react on the other hand. "Hey coach, can we play a match with you??" a boy missing a tooth asked, his eyes sparkling. From what Mari knew and deducted, she could tell the children looked up to Taiyou with much respect.

"Sure!!! Mari-chan, is that alright with you? I'll be right back!" Mari nodded, and said, "Go ahead." Taiyou grinned and quickly kissed Mari, saying, "I'll be back!"

Running along with the children, Taiyou ran with a ton of energy and laughed with the children. Mari looked at her boyfriend playing in the field with the children and said, "You really are my sunshine."

I think this is a good place to stop :3 hmmm, I seem to be finding a pattern with how each of my one-shots ends. Despite it all, I hope you enjoyed this TheNewEclipse!! I hope it's not plain for you guys, I'll try to be more creative. Till the next one-shot my dear readers~!!
