This is a follow on from the movie "rise of the guardians so I would advise you to watch the film before you read any further. I hope you enjoy this book because it is my first one and I've never done anything like this before. I have no idea how many chapters it will have so sit back and enjoy the ride 😊😋

Jack's POV

Not much has happened of late with the Guardians. Usually I roam around the pole and mess with the elves, or visit Jamie and the others if the mood strikes, but all in all its pretty boring. We haven't heard from pitch in a very long time, yet North keeps on bugging me to stay alert and stop 'goofing off'. I just can't help it; WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO DO!?

"Jack you need to start taking things more seriously. Pitch could be out there ready to strike at any moment." North bellowed in his thick Russia voice looking particularly annoyed with today's events. What was it, you ask? Try freezing the door to bunny's room shut with him inside so he has to tunnel everywhere, popping up under yetis at work and inevitably them falling down said holes.

"So, what you're saying, is that you forbid me to have fun? Haha nice one because it just so happens, if you don't remember, that I'm the guardian OF FUN!" I stated getting increasingly more annoyed with every retort. These arguments usually go the same way every time.

The other guardians just watched me and north argue for about an hour. Tooth was only into part of the conversation as she was conversing with her fairies to go and collect the children's teeth from around the world. I saw Bunny snickering at us ( mainly me) and Sandy was just...well he was as silent as ever.

All of a sudden there came a knock at the main doors, echoing throughout the pole. Nobody, and I mean nobody, ever uses those doors accept the people that are here, so who could it be? Everyone had now stopped. All the guardians had armed themselves and so did I as we approached the door. The yetis heaved the oak open and we were all surprised by what we saw...

"Its...its a girl?" I asked surprised. A girl who looked about 18!laid unconscious in the snow covered from head to toe in snowflakes.
"How did a girl find her way this far north? Nevermind find the pole?"

Non of the guardians had said a word but they just started to glance at each other with a look I would only guess was confusion. Thankfully tho, they had lowered their weapons yet they remained motionless.

"Well what are you waiting for? Aren't you going to help her?" I asked shocked by their actions. Talk about guardians of children...

I went to lift her up from the snow but as soon as our arms made contact, scenes formed in font of my eyes seemingly engulfing me. After what felt like an eternity my eyes and mind simultaneously unclouded to leave me drained and face down in the cold white powder.

Bunny's POV

I was stood snickering at Jack and North argue when we heard a knock at the door. Immediately I pulled out my boomerangs as we all started slowly towards the main door of the pole. No one else used that apart from us so everyone was understandably suspicious. As we started slowly for the door, each of us arming ourselves on the way, North nodded slightly to gesture to the yetis to open the door. When they did we were surprised at what we saw.

"It's...its a girl!?" I heard jack say in a very surprised tone. "How did a girl find her way this far north? Nevermind find the pole?"

As it fell to silence I started to notice the coal black tinges encasing the otherwise light skin. I could tell that the other Guardians had also noticed it and that they were completely shocked, as I was.

"Well what are you waiting for aren't you going to help her?" Jack asked sounding a little annoyed, but he had obviously not noticed what we all saw.

As Jack started towards her to help her up I wanted to scream at him to "keep away" but I now felt that I couldn't move an inch of my body.

Seconds after Jack touched her, he fell to his knees and then flat on the snow unconscious. I didn't know what to do but I finally felt myself move again. I turned to north to ask what was going to happen but I saw that he was already yelling at the yetis to prepare Jack a room and to bring the girl inside but be careful with her.

"Wo , Wo , Wo North we don't even know who this human is. Your bringing her inside after what happened to Jack?"I interrupted as his yelling got more frantic.

"V'at other choice do we have we can't just let her freeze to death" North simply stated and then began to yell at the yetis again, so I just went with the flow until I was called upon.

Jack's POV

When the darkness cleared I woke up in a strange room I've never seen before. It was painted blue all over with a large white wardrobe and matching drawers. Snow globes and gadgets lay high upon the shelves. As I stood up to look around, the door suddenly opened and in came North with a concerned look on his face.

"How do you feel? Do you remember anything?" North asked in a very worried tone.

"Errrr...not really wh..." I began but then things started to come back to me. The images I had seen through the fog started to flash before my eyes once again and I swore my head started to spin, not enough to make me faint but I became very light headed and need to sit down. I held my head in my hands as I started feeling her pain. It was like we were each other in one. "Where is she? Where is Isla?"

"Listen Jack you have been out of it for quite some time and I think it's best if we check you out first to make sure you're okay" replied North trying to settle me

"What, how long?" I asked nearly shouting, the pain hadn't completely disappeared by this point so a shot of pain ran through me at my own stupid outburst.

"3 weeks" he said simply

"And where is Isla? Tell me now North!" I demanded getting rather annoyed with him.

"..."

I started for the door.

"Jack NO, I can't let you leave" North said seriously standing in front of the door. All sympathy now slipped from his face.

"WHY?!" I shouted nearly at the top of my lungs. I had no idea what was making me so angry, it burned through my being from the inside out. All at once I saw fire around me. Gasping in shock I jumped back, now floating in mid air.

"This is why we wanted to do the tests before you saw her. Incase you hurt her or even yourself " he said in a serious tone but I could see that in his eyes that he was scared, so I should be too.

"..." I said nothing. I just stood there starring at the fire as it withered into the ground and vanish. My eyes wide with fear.

"If it's ok with you we're ready to start the tests?" North asked, trying to comfort me by putting his hand on my shoulder but I dodged and backed up further.

"Ok..." I said under my breath and I trailed behind him out of the room, keeping my distance to ensure that if the fire came back it wouldn't hurt him.

I was petrified! What were they going to do with me!? God knows what's going to happen to me and I don't even know what's happened during the past few weeks. I can only imagine. And where is Isla !? I need to know that she is safe.
