Erza held back tears as she observed the damage. After the temperature dropped, they all fled. The guilds knew that E.N.D. and Lucy were too much to handle.

They were all refuged in the Fairy Tail guild Hall. A bit ago, there was a big explosion and a scream.... then everything went red.

Sting was nowhere to be found. Wakaba and Yukino were dead. Levy, Wendy, Macao, Minerva,Master, Rufus, Cana, Lisanna, and Laki were all missing. The rest were injured.

Erza had a bandage over her lost eye... and more were in critical condition. Without Wendy, they were all suffering.

Gajeel was sitting at the table, tears running down his face. "We... We have to find her! And Wendy.. I shouldn't have let them fight..." His head dropped into his hands. Patherlily limped up to Gajeel and he sat on his lap. Gajeel wept.

Erza turned away from the sight. She heard cries and moans of pain, and she... she couldn't stand to hear her friends like this.

"What happened?"

Erza looked up as she saw happy and Carla fly in.

"Where were you two?" Erza watched as their faces melted into horror as they observed the guilds.

"We were.... We came back with news but...." Carla gasped. "Where is... " She looked at Erza.

"And.. Natsu?" Happy's voice broke as his flight faltered and he dipped lower.

Erza let out a choked sob. "We couldn't... We couldn't defeat them. " tears ran down her face. "And Natsu.. He is the center of the fire. He is in E.N.D. form. Lucy is rampaging. Many are dead or missing I don't- I don't know!" Erza cried and she watched helplessly as Happy lowered to the ground. Carla dropped faster, landing on the floor with a heavy thump.

"Wendy... my girl...." She wept into Happy and Happy looked up at Erza.

Erza shook with tears. But she tried smiling.

"We.. We got this.. We are fairy tail. We will get through this.... we always do." Erza said, dropping to her knees.

Everybody who was able to watched, their hearts aching, tears running as they watched as the Fairy Tail spirit broke.

Natsu screamed. As he heard Lucy's words, he decided he needed to stop this.

He needed to stop everything.

He heard a faint female scream, and he heard a laugh.

He turned around, and saw a little boy with horns and wings staring at him in amusement.

Well well. It took you long enough.

Natsu frowned. W-What?

The boy looked at him. It took you long enough to fight back.

Natsu shook his head. No, I've been fighting this whole time!

Have you, really? The boy ruffled his own salmon locks, and looked into Natsu's eyes with similar ones. We both know that on the inside, you wanted Lucy to die.

Natsu growled. Shut up, shit head. That isn't true. i-

It isn't? The boy raised an eyebrow. His tiny wings fluttered and he shivered. Oh wow. Something is happening to our girlfriend.

Natsu perked up. What?!

Anyways, don't lie to me. I'm you. We know I want Lucy to die. His voice got deeper, mixing in with E.N.D.'s voice. For the planet. But we also know Lucy isn't the real threat. Fear is gone. She got rid of him. The boys voice went back to normal. He looked at Natsu, a sad look in his young, yet very very old eyes. We are the problem. E.N.D. is. And you just realized it, making you really want to fight back. You've been through so much, and now you finally have a qay out. It explains why you are crying, why you are making up your kind about what to do, and why you are thinking of saying farewell words to the two people right in front of you.

Natsu touches his face and he feels tears. The boy is right. He does know what to do.

We finally have a way out of this misery. Yes, I know everyone else will be pained after we die, but ut will be worty it because they will live.

A tear fell down the boy's cheek as he stepped towards Natsu. Natsu fell on his knees, tears streaming down his face. Him and the boy, a young Natsu, hugged each other, weeping.

We both have to die, for this war to he over.

Natsu nodded. He weeped into the boys hair, shuddering and choking.

The boy wailed as Natsu clung to him, and raised a hand. The boy snapped off a horn, crying out in pain. He hands it to Natsu, and Natsu takes it.

It has blood and fits perfectly in his hand. Its 7 inches. Sharp at the end.

Natsu sits back, and holds the boy at arms length. The boy prepares himself, shuddering.

I'm sorry. Natsu says. Tears pour out his eyes, fall onto his lap. I'm sorry for all the pain we felt. All the loss we had. I'm sorry for why i have to kill us both. I'm sorry for getting us into this mess. But I'm not sorry for the way we will save our friends. I'm not sorry for meeting Fairy Tail and having a family. And I am not sorry for being who I am.

The boy smiles, eyes red, sobbing. I know. I know. Now, please. Lucy is dying.

And with that, Natsu brought the hirn into the boys stomach. The boy screamed, and Natsu did too. He felt it.

But Natsu stabbed himself in the stomach, too. He screamed in unison with his younger self. He pulled the boy into a hug, and the boy embraced Natsu, their blood mixing.

I'm sorry. Natsu chokes out, eyes closing.

I forgive you. The boy says, hand going limp.

Natsu smiles, eyes dimming. His smile fades slowly and his grip on the boy slackens.

He forgave himself. Now he was at peace...

Natsu sighed in content, and thought I love you all. Before his eyes were blank, his smile gone, and his body limp.

But i hope you guys dont hate me, despite the countless deaths

But i assure you there will be a happy ending

Just a bit sadder and not what we all hoped
