70

It was one of the last nights of filming Dunkirk and despite wanting to spend a lot of time with the other lads, Fionn wanted to take Dotty out for the night after all they would not be with each other as often after the filming finished. He told her to dress how she wanted, he didn't understand why what she wore mattered, to him she would look beautiful in anything.

She met him down by the coast that evening wearing the yellow and white dress he suggested to her a while back with some white doc martens and knee-high socks. Fionn was taken back when he saw her and had to blink multiple times and rub his eyes to make sure he wasn't seeing things.

"Woah," he exclaimed and she blushed, tucking a strand of her curled hair behind her ears. "You look, woah!"

She bit her lip and smiled, "Thank you, Fionn, I like your jacket it suits you."

Fionn smirked and tugged at the collar, "I thought you would after you mentioned about it ages ago. It's the one I wore in HIM."

The girl looked him up and down, "I know, and I will say it again, it looks bloody brilliant on you."

Fionn looped his fingers with Dotty's and the pair walked along the seafront talking aimlessly about anything and everything; whatever came to mind. Dotty did not have the faintest idea as to where she was going but she knew Fionn, and she liked to think she knew him a lot, to know he was not taking her anywhere dangerous.

Fionn couldn't help but smile the whole way to their destination, he had it all planned out. Every last detail, he just hoped it would work. It wasn't long before they arrived in a carpark?

Dotty didn't question it, Fionn was full of surprises and as he led her to his car she listened to him talking about something Harry had done that morning when they woke up for work. The couple laughed endlessly as the left the carpark in Fionn's car and watched as the world rolled past their windows.

The sun was setting and Fionn slowed down the vehicle along a quiet road. It was then that Dotty decided to question what exactly they were doing. With the SatNav telling Fionn where to go he simply told her, "It's a surprise."

Dotty sat back in her seat giddily, excitement bubbling up inside of her. It was like an adventure! She liked adventures.

Fionn turned out onto a motorway which was backed up with traffic. "There is a one hour and thirty-five-minute delay and the next junction is in forty miles." SatNav Sally told them.

Fionn groaned and ran his fingers through his hair, "Great! Just great!" He grumbled. Dotty remained silent watching Fionn as he sat annoyed in the driver's seat. He glanced over at Dotty who sat with a neutral face. "I'm sorry, Dot, this was not supposed to happen. Why did someone choose tonight to have an accident?"

"I don't think they exactly chose to crash their lorry, hun," said Dotty placing her hand on Fionn's knee.

"I know," He said and looked in the rear-view mirror, "It's backed up for miles. We're not moving anytime soon." Fionn frowned. "I had it all planned, Dot, all of it. I was going to take you to this park Barry found and it's so open that I was going to have us do some star-gazing because I know you love that. Then, I was going to get you McNuggets because I know you love them, then we were going to have a light night drive and possibly stop on the cliff tops for the view. But now it's all ruined!"

"This date might not be going to plan but that doesn't mean the night is ruined, Fionn, we are still with each other and can stargaze from the car while we wait for the traffic to move," Dotty told him, moving her hand from his knee to touch his cheek, running her thumb across his jaw.

"But it is, Dot, I wanted tonight to be special. Just the two of us, not us and a bunch of cars and SatNav Sally, she's really off-putting." Fionn exclaimed.

"Hey, hey, hey," Dotty hushed him, she turned the SatNav off and looked back at him, her grey eyes searching his green ones. "It is and will be special. We'll leave that off for a while and don't worry about the cars around us. It's not like we have people sat in the back seat of the car." She leaned close to him and gently pressed a soft tender kiss to his lips.

Fionn's hands moved from the wheel of the car to her hair as he kissed her back softly but with so much passion, "God, I love you so much," he muttered against her lips.

"I love you too," smiled Dotty pulling back but keeping her hands where they were. "You're amazing Fionn, I hope you know that one of the best people in the world and I hope that you'l forever be the Spiderman to my Mary Jane."

Fionn chcukled at the reference which showed her, what some would call, 'nerdy side', it was one of the many things he loved about the girl. He nodded his head, "I hope so too, and when we get back to England, I will take you to see Captain America: Civil War when it comes out."

Dotty grinned, "then it's a date."

"It's a date."
