It was a race day on Richmond Speedway. All pups were sitting in their cars near their pit boxes, when a steward called them to come to the exit of pit-lane to prepare for the start. When pups got there all their engineers (Chapter 3 to your help) came to them.

Greg: Ok Skye. This is our first race and we are starting from pole-position. Make sure you will turn this into win.

Skye: Don't worry. You can count on me!

Greg: That's the spirit! Good luck out there.

Vlad: And keep an eye on Chase. He's also very fast.

Skye: I will.

Vlad: OK. We're ready.

Steward: Formation lap starts now!

All drivers drove from the pit lane and made a formation lap. When they were close to start/finish line, green flag was waved above racers and the race started. At the first ten laps everybody were close to each other, trying to stay fast and find a chance to overtake. On lap 11 Rocky took 7th place from Everest. Meanwhile Skye and Chase started driving away little by little from Zuma, Rubble and Marshall who started racing againist each other.

Matt: Ok Chase. We are gonna fight with Skye to the end of the race. Drivers behind are too far from you to catch. Kepp focused on race leader.

Chase: Copy!

On lap 25 Chase tried to overtake Skye, but she successfully defended her position. 8 laps later, Marshall overtook Zuma and Rubble for 3rd place.

Chase.E: Nice one! You are P3 at the moment. Now hold your position.

Marshall: Got it.

On lap 50 Tracker got close to Rubble and tried to make move on him, but Rubble saw him going on the inside of the corner  and pushed him a little over yellow line, so Tracker slowed down.

Tracker: It was quite agressive defending from Rubble. I could lose control!

Denny: OK copy!

On lap 67 Marshall felt heat in his car.

Marshall: It's quite hot in the car. I don't know if something's wrong.

Chase.E: Let me check. (20 seconds later); Ok, you have high oil temperature because of high engine temperature. We need to cool the engine.

Marshall: But I've got closer to top-2!

Chase.E: It's good, but we don't need to take to much risk.

Marshall (quite sad): Ok.

Top-8 at the end of lap 100:
1. Skye;
2. Chase;
3. Marshall;
4. Zuma;
5. Rubble;
6. Tracker;
7. Rocky;
8. Everest.
On lap 102 Chase finally overtook Skye, who has some issues.

Skye: No grip, no grip. And fuel tank is almost empty!

Vlad: Understood. Box, box, box.

Skye turned into the pits at the end of the same lap. 

Matt: Skye is into the pits. We will have overcut to save our position.

Chase: Understood. Box next two laps!

Matt: Copy.

On lap 104, Chase went into the pit lane. After exiting the pit lane he stayed in front of Skye. 7 laps later, Tracker was the last driver from top-8 who pitted. He came back on track on P10. On lap 120 Tracker overtook Rubble for 5th place.

Tracker: That's how we do it!

Denny: Nice job! From P10 to P5 for 9 laps. Great!

16 laps later Skye got close to Chase to attack him for first place. She got so close, that she hit leader lightly on the rear.

Chase: I felt contact on the rear.

Valeria: It's just cosmetical damage, don't worry keep going!

Chase: Ok.

Skye: Oops! 

Greg: Don't worry, keep pushing. We have no damage.

On lap 154, Zuma attacked Marshall and overtook him, but Marshall tried to counterattack him and hit Zuma on rear-left side. Luckily, he caught car and didn't lose control.

Zuma: What is he doing?! I almost crashed.

Cyle: We saw it! We saw it! Reporting it.

16 laps later stewards decided to give Marshall drive-through penalty.

Andrew: Ok Marshall. Unfortunately we've given a drive-through penalty. We need to serve it in 5 laps.

Marshall: For what?!

Andrew: For... dangerous move on Zuma.

Marshall: Oh, got it.

On lap 163 Marshall sevred his penalty and returned on P15. 6 laps later he was in top-10. On lap 171 he was in top-8.

 Chase.E: Good recovery. Now try to catch somebody. And carefully next time when you're defending.

Marshall: Copy.

19 laps later Skye finally overtook Chase for first place.

Skye: Sorry Chasey, just business!

Chase: Oh, you're on it.

From lap 191 to lap 226 they fought wheel to wheel, until Chase hit trouble.

Chase: No-no-no! I have problem with tyres. I don't know what's happening.

Matt: You have a puncture! Front right! Box box!

Chase: Confirm!

On lap 227 Chase pitted and returned on P4. Top-8 at the end of lap 230.
1. Skye;
2. Zuma;
3. Tracker;
4. Chase;
5. Everest;
6. Rocky;
7. Rubble;
8. Marshall.
Greg: Chase hit trouble. He's dropped to P4. So you can relax a little.

Skye: Ok, understood.

Cyle: We need to fight for this win. Gap to car in front is: 1,5 seconds.

Zuma: Got that!

On lap 246 the gap between Skye and Zuma was less than second. 4 laps later, Chase overtook Tracker for P3.

Chase: How much the gap between me and Skye?

Valeria: 2,7. And you are 3 tenths seconds faster per lap than her.

Chase: Understood!

On lap 269 Chase got close to first two positions.

Matt: You know what to do! You can do this!

Chase: Ok.

2 laps later he was in Zuma's slipstream, who was fighting side-by-side with Skye. On the same lap Marshall overtook Rubble for 7th place. He was about to attack Rocky when he suddenly slowed down.

Rocky: Damn it! Gearbox problem!

Jimmy: We can see it. Sorry, but we should retire!

Rocky: Arghhhhh! 

Jimmy: You were doing a really good race.

Chase.E: Your teammate has an issue. He'll retire.

Marshall: A shame.

Chase.E: Yeah, I know.

On lap 297 Chase made his move on Zuma and Skye and took the lead.

Chase: Yeah boy!

Valeria: Nice job!

Matt: Good boy!

Vlad: Stay calm, we have enough time to get our main position back.

Skye: But I have a little problem. It's Zuma!

Vlad: Just imagine, that he isn't there.

Skye: Heh, ok. I'll try.

On lap 305 she overtook Zuma and started catching Chase. 5 laps later Skye was ready to attack him. On lap 311 she made her first attempt, but Chase easily denied it.

Matt: Keep it up! 40 laps to go! Come on!

But 7 laps later Skye overtook Chase and started getting away from him.

Skye: Yeeehaaaw!

Greg: Atta girl!

Vlad: You sent it!

Meanwhile Marshall tried to overtake Everest but Rubble not only denied it but also overtook both of them.

Tony: Haha! That's what I call 'on the double'!

Rubble: Exactly!

Chase stayed behind Skye until lap 344. Then he made his last push sto catch her. When 5 laps left he made his move.

Skye: No!

Greg: You almost there! Hold him up!

She made everything to hold Chase behind her and it become a success. Skye won the first race of the season, while Chase was just 0,3 seconds behind her.

Skye: Yessss!!! Come on!!

Vlad: Nice one! P1! Nice job!

Chase: So close, but yet so far.

Matt: Yeah it was very close. P2! Well managed.

Zuma: Phew. Did we make it?

Cyle: Comfirmed P3. Good drive.

Tracker: Woohoo! Wow, what a race.

Denny: Incredible job mate! P4!

Rubble: Well, where are we?

Tony: P5, P5.

Everest: Well, he finished in front of me. But thankfully, he defended me from Marshall.

Kevin: I saw it. P6, P6.

Marshall: I caaan't believe it. I shouldn't be too agressive on Zuma.

Chase.E: Yeah it was not good. P7 mate.

So Skye takes the lead in the champonship and next round will be on Bristol Motor Speedway.
