November was a tough month, not only were you dealing with your dad being seriously in the hospital, but you were also going through the heartbreak of losing those you had fallen so madly in love with. Not only that, the guilt you also felt for your dad taking a bullet for you was playing constantly on your mind.
Most nights you'd wake up in a sweat, the terror of the memory of that night events haunted your dreams and the little sleep you were getting. It was only worse when you woke up in fear, clench the empty side of the bed that would normally have been filled with one of your lovers. Someone who would be there to tell you it was going to be ok, but there was never anyone there. It was also a cold empty spot.
All that cold month went past in a daze, you never really knew what day it was and whether you were coming or going. If you weren't at home, alone apart from the odd time that your Gramps popped in for an evening, you were at the hospital visiting your dad. Sure, he was beginning to get better, but he still needed a lot of care after they had to reconstruct his stomach due to the bullet he'd taken.
This meant that more times than not, you were alone to think about the events that had conspired over the past few months all of them beginning on that fateful day that you decided to visit Dabi and finding him in bed with another girl. At times, your mind believed that you had pushed him to do it, or if you'd have not gone would it be ok now? Then you remembered that if you hadn't gone, you wouldn't have met some amazing people, but then as you thought that the heartbreak of losing them people came back to haunt you.
The house staff, your Gramps and even your father let you have a month. A month to try to get your feelings in check, to try to dig yourself out of the hole of pity, hatred and guilt you had pushed upon yourself. Alas, as you Gramps predicted towards the end of the November, you'd not began to get over the ones you loved, you'd not been able to rid yourself of the guilt you were feeling.
It meant that the plan that he'd start to put into motion was the right course of action for him to take to see you happy again...And so the plan was put in the motion as there was a knock on your bedroom door.
"Is my Granddaughter awake? Or is she still in bed?" hearing your Gramp's manly, husk voice you rushed to the door. The need to see him and the need for human contact.
"Hey Gramps, everything ok?" desperate for him to need you to do anything after another sleepless night. The man looked at you, it pained him to see you in such a dire state, but he was here to rectify that.
"Of course, it's December 1st. I got you an advent calendar," smiling at you, he'd tried to hide his excitement at the possibility of making you smile again.
"Gosh. It's December already? Where has the year gone?" chuckling, it was clear to the older man you were holding down the sorrow.
"It really has. Get dressed and we'll go out shopping for the day. I took the day off," without another word the man turned and began to head downstairs. This day was also for him as much as you. He'd wanted to have a day alone, the two of you since the incident but he'd not had the time due to having to help run All Might Inc whilst your father was ill.
Today though, he'd got Claude and Sebastian holding down the fort at both of the companies so that he could spend the day spoiling you rotten.
The excitement of not being alone for the day made you rush to get dressed, not really caring what you looked like too much as you just wanted to spend the day with your Grandpa. As you came barrelling downstairs, the old man had barely sat down before you were practically dragging him out of the door.
"Let's go for some breakfast. I know a great place," you suggested to your Gramps, who was simply happy to see you taking the initiative.
"Sure, thing princess. Whatever you want today," the man smiled as you drove the two of you to an awfully familiar quaint little café. Wisteria flowers framed the windows, the feeling of a country cottage. The same rustic, comfy cafe you remembered but decorated for Christmas, unlike the time you came before.
Clearly, the girl who'd you met before still worked there remembered you a spiteful look on her face but as she came to walk over, she was beaten to it by the friendly guy from before, Joe.
"Well, looky here, Little Miss Yagi. Come this way and I'll get you the best seat in the house," Joe smirked and looked your Gramps up and down. The guy was very much checking the older man out making you chuckle, your Gramps found it amusing and of course played to it.
"It's been a while...where is Mr tall, handsome and dripping with sex appeal," of course he was talking about Yo. It hadn't gone public that you'd broken up, but before you could say anything, your Gramps read your mood.
"Busy practising to make it pro. You know how it is with these footballers," shrugging his shoulders, it made Joe chuckle.
"Well, there is an image I will not get out of my head all day...Damnnn that guy. Anyways Darlin' whatcha having to eat...and you are her Grampa, right?" Joe started knowing a lot about you.
"I'll have the strawberry French toast please," with a weak voice that Joe assumed was because you'd wanted to spend time with Yo, which wasn't wrong but of course he wasn't aware that you were no longer an item.
"Sounds good. I'll have the same," the older man commented, but as the waiter left he never brought up the subject of Yo, since it was clear you wanted to feel a little nostalgic to your time you'd spent with the older guy from Ketsubutsu. It wasn't the only stop that held some sort of memory of the ones you were missing so much, you went to the ramen place that Mina and Kyoka had taken you to as well as multiple other spots that you'd spent time with the group.
It was now extremely clear that if they put the plan into motion, it had a 90% success rate for your happiness. As the day began to close though, it was time for the plan to come into action as you pulled up to your house.
Walking through the door, Claude and Sebastian were stood looking a little concerned.
"There you are Mr (l/n). I'm extremely sorry but that event you were supposed to be going tonight, well, something came up and you'll need to cancel." Claude stated with a straight face.
"Really? One moment (f/n) ...Claude let's discuss this in the kitchen," the two walked off as you watched them go, getting a little worried since your Gramps had looked so serious. Not meaning to, you went to listen outside the door to make sure that everything is ok, but also to see if there was anything you could help with.
"I know that you were looking forward to me coming since I was covering for my son in law," your Gramp's voice sounded apologetic to whoever he was on the phone too. "I know I know, is there no one else you could get in last minute?" pausing you assumed that the person was talking. "Look, business has come up and of course, Toshinori is still in the hospital so he wouldn't be able to do it..." you didn't know what the thing that was so important was but the guilt of your dad not being able to go and your Gramps being busy to help run both businesses was playing on your mind that you burst into the kitchen.
"Gramps. I'll go if it will help?" as your voice echoed through the kitchen, your Gramp's had his back to the door making it so you weren't able to see the roguish smirk on his face before he turned.
"Are you sure sweetie?" asking you as he'd looked at the determination to help in your sparkling (e/c) eyes.
"Yes. Anything I can do to help you and dad, then I'll do it," placing your fist in your hand, it made the old man chuckled.
"Would that be ok, if (f/n) Yagi came in place of myself or Toshinori?" the older man commented. The thing was, he wasn't actually on the phone to anyone and the scene had played out exactly as he'd planned it, as he came off the phone.
"Thank you, sweetie, you'll need to get changed. I am sure Grell can get you ready for a ball in no time. The limo will be here to pick you up and there will be cue cards to let you know what to say, so have a lovely time and I'll ring you tomorrow but we've got to go," before he could say another word the man kissed your head and walked out, leaving you stood stunned but not for too long as you were rushed upstairs to get ready for the annual College Football Awards Christmas Ceremony.
As your Gramps sat in the back of his limo, he had the hugest smirk on his face before sending a message to the group chat, he'd got with the others involved with the plan.
Gramps Claus - The Robin will be leaving the nest! 😎
As ten phones binged, it wasn't long until ten smiles were wide across the faces of those that will still madly in love with you, missing you every single day, the plan to get you back was finally in motion after having to wait a whole month to make a move.
***Happy December 2nd everyone! Hope you enjoyed chapter 2. Well, what do they have planned and clearly you're still pining by taking Gramps to the sweet little Westeria Cafe that Yo took you to on a date...stay tuned for day 3!***
