Then he got ready for bed then he said in disbelief "Spirits. Heh! Humbug." Then he blew out the candle then fell asleep. Then a small bee flew in and lit the candle then rang one of the bells on Eggman's clock. Eggman woke up then asked "What, what, what?" Then he fell back asleep. The bee said "Ahem!" Then he rang the bell again, Eggman asked "W- What?" He looked around. The bee said "Well! It's about time. Haven't got all night, you know." Then Eggman said "Who are you?!" The bee said "Why, I'm Charmy the Ghost of Christmas Past." He showed a medal that said 'Ghost of Christmas past' Eggman said "Oh. I thought you'd be taller." Charmy said "Humph! Listen, Eggman, if men were measured by kindness, you'd be no bigger than a speck of dust." Then Eggman said "Is that supposed to startle me?" Charmy said "You didn't always think so. Come on, Eggman, it's time to go." Then Eggman said "We're are we going?"Then he opened one of his windows making snow and wind fly in as he said "We're gonna visit your past." Eggman looked out the window and said "I'm not going out there. I'll-I'll fall." Charmy said "Just hold on." Eggman held him tight "Whoop! Not too tight now." Then they started flying. Eggman started freaking out while they were flying. Eggman shouted "Spirit, look out!" Charmy asked "What's wrong, Eggman? Hee-hee-hee." Then Eggman said "We're off the ground that's what's wrong!" Then they landed somewhere. Eggman said "Spirit, I believe I know this place." He went to the window "Yes! It's old Fezziwig's." He wiped some of the frost off the window "I couldn't have worked for a kinder man." Then it showed all the people in the building enjoying the party. Eggman said "Why, it's old Fezziwig himself! And all of my very dearest friends! And that shy lad in the corner." It showed a younger Eggman in the corner "That's me!" Charmy said "Yes. That was before you became a miserable miser, consumed by greed." Eggman said "Well, nobody's perfect. And there!" It showed a girl "There's lovely Isabelle!" Isabelle asked "Eggman? Eggman?" Eggman replied "Yes, Isabelle?" Isabelle said "My eyes are closed, my lips are puckered and I'm standing under the mistletoe." She puckered her lips as Eggman pointed down "You're also standing on my foot." It showed her foot on his foot. Then she's looked down to see that. Isabelle said "Oh sorry. Care to dance?" Then Eggman said "Sure." Then Isabell grabbed him then they danced as the music ends Isabelle kissed him as Eggman looked lovingly as hearts flied out as everyone clapped. Eggman said "Ah! I remember how much I was in love with her." Charmy said "In ten years time, you learned to love something else." Then they were at his money house "Why... why, it's my counting house." Then it shows Eggman counting some money. Eggman counted "9,972... nine thousand..." then he stopped to hear Isabelle "Eggman." Eggman asked "Yes, what is it?" Isabelle said "For years I've had this honeymoon cottage, Eggman. I've been waiting for you to keep your promise to marry me. Now I must know: Have you made your decision?" Eggman said "I have!" Isabelle looked happy with hearts flying out "Your last payment on the cottage was an hour late!" He showed a foreclosure paper "I'm foreclosing the mortgage!" Isabelle had her heart broken as the hearts fell and she went out of the counting house crying. Charmy said "You loved your gold more than that precious creature, and you lost her forever." Eggman counted "9970..." then the coins fell from the door slamming, then he threw the coin "...three." Then it fades to his bedroom. Eggman woke up then asked "Why was I so foolish? Why? Why?" Then he saw a golden glow "W-What's this?" Then he heard a hearty laughing. He looked to see who was laughing. It was a echidna saying "Come in and know me better then." Eggman then said "Knuckles?" He said "Knuckles? No, I'm the Ghost of Christmas Present. But you can call me that if you like." Then Eggman said "...Oh...Sorry but you look strangely like an echidna I know." Knuckles said "I'm here to show you the many good things to enjoy in life." He showed a table full of goodies "See?" Eggman said "Mince pies! Turkeys! Suckling pig!" He took a leg from a turkey. Knuckles said "And don't forget the chocolate pot roast with yogurt." Then Eggman said "Is all you think about food?" Knuckles said "It's not about just that. It came from the heart, Eggman. It's the food of generosity, which you have long denied your fellow man." Then Eggman said "I...Don't understand." Knuckles said "You've never given them reason to let them show you generosity. And yet, there are some who still find enough warmth in their hearts even for the likes of you." Then Eggman stares at the figure confused. Knuckles said "Follow me." He did just that. Then they were at a house "Here we are." Eggman asked "Why did you bring me to this old shack?" Knuckles replied "This is the home of your overworked, underpaid employees, Sniffer Paws, and Evil the Sackboy." Then it showed Tails, Sniffer and Amy decorating a small tree. Tangle opened a tray to a small cooked bird. Eggman asked "What's she cooking, a canary? Surely they have more food than that?" He pointed to the fireplace "Look on the fire." Knuckles asked "What?" Then it showed a boiling pot "Oh, that's your laundry." Then Avalanche said "Let me help with that." Tangle said "Thanks Avalanche." Then Avalanche said "No problem." They all sat down ready to eat. Sonic said "Not yet, everyone. We must wait for Cream." Then Avalanche said "It is the right thing to do." They heard a voice "Coming, Mr.Sonic." Then it showed Cream walking down the steps with a crutch "I'm coming." Then Avalanche ran up to help her down the stairs. Avalanche sat her down as she said "Oh, my! Look at all the wonderful things to eat!" She said to Sniffer "We must thank Mr. Eggman." Sniffer looked at the crutch in worry as Eggman said "Tell me, Spirit: What's wrong with that kind lass?" Knuckles said "Much, I'm afraid." It showed Cream about to eat a leg then she saw Sonic's plate then she offered him her leg but he smiled then hugged her then they started to eat "If these shadows remain unchanged, I see an empty chair where little Cream once sat." Then it fades to eggmans bedroom one every again. Eggman said "Then that means...Cream will? Spirit! Where are ya? Don't go! You must tell me about Cream!" Then smoke came over him as he shouted "Don't go!" He coughed the smoke then asked "Where did?" Then he saw a hooded figure as he asked "W- Who are you? Are you the Ghost of Christmas Future?" Then a the man removed his furred hood to reveal a person who looked like a similar soldier. Eggman asked "Avalanche?" Then the figure stepped out of the shadow to reveal he had a massive hole in his head as he spoke revealing shark like teeth. "Well...Yes and No." Eggman said "Please speak to me. Tell me...what will happen to Cream?"Then The being said "Hold up bucko! I see how you are first" he then pulls out a clipboard and opens a pen with his mouth revealing that he had no lower left arm just a broken of bone that was cracked into a point "Futures out sick today and I somehow got stuck into this situation until their better. Sooo... Name?" Eggman said "Dr.Eggman." Then The being said "Ah #4,579." He then marks something on the clipboard with his teeth, caps the pen, and puts it away. "Now...What we're you asking?" Eggman said "I want to know what happens to Cream the rabbit." Then Avalanche said "The little one?..Alrighty then." He then takes out a large scythe and taps the pole on the ground turning the bedroom into a graveyard. Eggman asked "Where are we?" Then Avalanche pointed towards a grave. Then it showed Sniffer with the others leaving the grave. Sonic saw them walking away then sniffed with his eyes tearing up. Then he placed a crutch on a grave. Eggman said "Oh, no! Spirit, I didn't want this to happen. Tell me these events can yet be changed." Then he heard laughing. Then he saw a red wolf named gadget, and a Jackal named Zero. Zero said  "I've never seen a funeral like this one." Gadget said "Aye. No mourners, no friends to bid him farewell."Then both Eggman and the being looked to see who they were talking about. Infinite said looking at his watch "Oh, well. Let's rest a minute before we fill it in, eh? He ain't going nowheres!" They left laughing. Eggman asked "Spirit... whose lonely grave is this?" Then the being said "Yours kid." Eggman shouted and pleaded "Oh! Ohh! Please! Oh, oh! Aah! No, no, no! No! No! Please! Spirit!"  "Silence!" The being Boomed "It is you who brought this path upon yourself alone! Only you can fix it!" Eggman shouted "I can change! I can change!" Then the being boomed again this time he had a much colder tone to his voice pointing the scythe at Eggman "Then prove it."
