A/N: If you saw some of my many panicked posts/comments about losing this acc, I'm so sorry if I've inconvenienced you these past few days by making y'all follow my back-up acc 😅 I really thought I wouldn't be able to access this one anymore since I swear I couldn't remember my recovery details from years ago, but yay I'm back! Thanks for being patient and I hope y'all enjoy this chapter ❤️

Also, the dialogue in italics later in this chapter are French. I don't want to risk mistranslating them to actual French because I'd only be using Google Translate :')

When Harry was finally allowed to have visitors in hospital wing, Analeigh seized the opportunity to see the green-eyed boy right away. She had already been discharged the day before and seen some teachers and friends since she was allowed to return to her dorm. She even told Hermione and Ron everything that she knew from her end after they had made sure that she was fine. But, she was still worried about Harry's well-being.

Analeigh was in the middle of a follow-up check-up with Madam Pomfrey when she was told that Harry could be visited. The matron said that she also informed Dumbledore, so it wouldn't be long before Harry's other friends came to see him. But since Analeigh was already in the hospital wing at that very moment, she was the first to see the boy since the night of the Third Task. She needed to personally see if he was alright after everything she witnessed in that graveyard.

"Harry!" Analeigh exclaimed when she saw him. Madam Pomfrey tutted disapprovingly from her office, muttering about how she was being too loud at a recovering patient. But, Analeigh couldn't care less. She was too focused on the fact that Harry was somehow alive and well after facing Voldemort of all people.

"Leigh —" Harry made a sound of protest when Analeigh pulled him into a hug. It always surprised him whenever she did that because she wasn't exactly physically affectionate.

"I'm so sorry I didn't get to you on time," Analeigh apologized profusely.

"It's —"

"I should've ran to you faster or something. I wasn't thinking clearly enough."

"I —"

"I really wish there was something I could've done. I'm so sorry."

"Leigh!" Harry practically shouted, shocking the girl. She shut her mouth and stared at him with wide eyes. "It wasn't your fault. I'm not even mad at you."

Analeigh sighed and shifted in the seat beside his bed. Even after Dumbledore and Cedric tried to reassure her that she did all that she could, she still couldn't help but feel awful that she had left Harry in the graveyard, even if it was unintentional. While she still felt bad about it, hearing Harry himself tell her that it wasn't her fault soothed her anxiety.

"Wormtail was trying to kill you and Cedric, Leigh," Harry reminded her. "If you didn't leave right when you did, you could've died."

Analeigh bit her lip, feeling guilty all over again but for a different reason — here she was, feeling sorry for herself while Harry had to reassure her that she didn't do anything wrong when she should have been the one comforting him. He had narrowly escaped death yet again and it must have been frightening to see Voldemort in the flesh the way he did.

"How — how did you get out? What happened after we had gone? Did you get hurt?" Analeigh then asked him in a small voice. She still didn't know the details of his encounter with Voldemort aside from what Dumbledore had already told her.

"Wormtail completed whatever dark magic he needed to perform to bring Voldemort back," Harry explained. "It was some kind of potion and spell I couldn't recognize, and then he was... there. It was so strange seeing him as the person he was years ago. Then, he challenged me to a duel."

"Did you win?" Analeigh gasped. How else could he have escaped if he didn't? she wondered.

"Er, not exactly. Our spells connected — Dumbledore told me it had something to do with our wands having the same core." Harry paused, not quite sure if he should bring up the fact that he saw the images of his parents because of that and that they even spoke to him. "I was able to use that as a distraction and summoned the Triwizard Cup."

"I still can't believe you got out unharmed, though," Analeigh said, only to stop short when she realized that his arm was bandaged. "Except for that."

Harry let out an amused breath before he turned serious again.

"Me too," he admitted. "Voldemort called a bunch of his Death Eaters, by the way. I even heard some of their names — Crabbe and Goyle's fathers were there... and Malfoy."

"Really?" was all Analeigh could say. She had become so cautious around the topic of Death Eaters ever since her father told her about his past.

"Yeah. It's crazy, isn't it? We've always thought they weren't good people, but to find out that their parents were actual Death Eaters, though..." Harry said disapprovingly. The tone of his voice was yet another clear sign that Analeigh couldn't tell him or the others yet about her own dad.

"Yeah, that's crazy," she mumbled weakly.

"By the way, why was your necklace even a Portkey? Dumbledore told me after I got back that he assigned your dad to make one because of his suspicions about the tournament."

"That's true," Analeigh said, going along with the white lie. "It was smart of Dumbledore to do that, though, wasn't it? Who knew Moody — well, not the real one, anyway — was plotting something with You-Know-Who this whole time?"

"Moody was working with You-Know-Who?" a new voice entered the conversation, sounding shocked. Harry and Analeigh looked to their side to find that Ron and Hermione had finally arrived at the hospital wing. Before Harry could answer Ron's question and say that it was actually Barty Crouch Jr.'s doing, Hermione flung her arms around him.

"Oh, Harry!" she said. "We were so worried about you!"

"Yeah, mate. Dumbledore and Leigh told us a lot, but what exactly happened out there?" Ron asked.

"Tell us everything," Hermione urged.

"Well, we got to the graveyard —"

"No, start in the maze."

Harry sighed, realizing that he had to retell his story all over again. However, he didn't mind that much because he was just glad to be in the company of his friends after such a traumatizing experience.

The end-of-year feast was a bit different that year. The air inside the Great Hall was quite heavy even if the Hogwarts crowd should have been at least a bit happy that their champions won the Triwizard Tournament. And, they were, but by then, everybody was more interested in what truly took place on the night of the last task. Many of the students already heard about the creatures they faced in the maze as well as how Harry, Analeigh, and Cedric were transported to somewhere far from the castle. It was all anyone could talk about for days.

To make the atmosphere even more tense, Dumbledore chose this exact time to reveal that Voldemort was back. The hall erupted into shocked gasps and whispers, wondering how insane the old man was to make such a bold statement. While Analeigh knew that it was true, she couldn't entirely blame the others for not believing it yet. After all, only Harry had seen Voldemort being reborn with his own eyes.

Thankfully, Dumbledore tried to lighten up the mood again by congratulating everyone on the conclusion of the Triwizard Tournament as well as Hogwarts's victory. The never-ending array of food and drinks also helped in diffusing that tension, but there was no way that things would ever be normal again now that Voldemort's return had been announced. Analeigh could only hope that the wizarding world would take Harry and Dumbledore's claims seriously. Who knew what Voldemort could be doing at that very moment?

Before they knew it, it was time for everyone to part ways. The Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students would be leaving the castle that day whereas the Hogwarts students would be heading to the train station the day after. After almost a whole school year of being in the same campus, it seemed that a lot of friendships had formed among the three schools.

Viktor Krum approached Hermione and urged her to write to him over the summer. Fleur and Gabrielle also found Ron sitting on one of the benches at the courtyard, and the two gave him kisses on the forehead and cheek respectively as their goodbye.

"You should visit us soon," Natalie was telling Analeigh, having to raise her voice slightly over the the deafening chatter around them. "Mum and dad will probably be wondering if you're okay after this whole tournament."

"I really hope I can," Analeigh agreed. "I want to see Hugo already. I wanna know how much your adorable baby brother has grown."

Natalie huffed and said, "Don't forget that it was me who was chosen as the person you'd miss the most in the Second Task."

"You're never going to stop bringing that up, will you?" The younger girl shook her head, causing Analeigh to sigh. Giving up on their banter, Analeigh brought her cousin into a brief hug. Natalie then bid her goodbye one more time before running back to her friends to get ready to board their carriage.

"Analeigh, there you are." Cedric came walking her way almost right after Natalie had left her side. "Have you talked to the other champions yet?"

"Not all of them. I only spoke to Viktor and Andrei earlier because Viktor had to apologize for, you know, using the Cruciatus Curse on me," Analeigh said, sounding way too casual for that sort of topic. Although Cedric knew the gravity of that event, he couldn't help but smile in entertainment at how she made it seem like it wasn't a big deal.

"Well, he was under the Imperius Curse, too," he pointed out with a hint of humor. "Come on, let's look for Fleur and Brigitte."

Cedric grasped Analeigh's hand and lightly tugged it for her to follow him as they weaved through the crowd. The courtyard was a mess, and it was practically a miracle that the two of them ended up spotting the two Beauxbatons girls somewhere in the middle of all that chaos. They all exchanged a few friendly words and their final goodbyes.

Analeigh was feeling all nostalgic already. She hadn't become best friends with Fleur or Brigitte nor was she very close with the Durmstrang boys either, but all the champions had gone through so much together in that tournament that it felt odd that they would all be separating already. None of them knew if they would even ever see each other again.

And then came the final send-off for the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students. The Hogwarts students clapped for them as they walked down the halls, out into the courtyard once again, and then boarded their respective vehicles — the Beauxbatons with their blue carriage pulled by winged horses and Durmstrang with their giant ship.

"This was quite a year, wasn't it?" Cedric commented thoughtfully, watching as the carriage took off into the air while the ship disappeared into the water.

"That's an understatement," Analeigh laughed. "I think I've aged at least ten years with all the stress I've experienced."

"Hmm," Cedric hummed, staring at Analeigh's face. "I don't think so. You still look young and pretty to me."

Analeigh blushed profusely, grumbling incoherent words under her breath like she usually did whenever she got embarrassed by Cedric's compliments. The older boy chuckled, squeezing her hand to gain her attention again.

"Can I see you over the summer?" he asked her.

"Haven't you seen enough of me this year already?" Analeigh joked. Cedric rolled his eyes in response.

"I know you just don't want to admit that you want to see me, too," he said smugly.

"If you say so."

"I'm taking that as a yes," Cedric grinned. "So, if I come knocking at your door at three in the morning, will your parents let me in?"

"I highly doubt that my father will allow a boy who wants to see his only daughter past midnight to enter our home in the first place."

A/N: We've reached the end of GOF! The events that take place during OTP will also be covered in this book. I'm so excited to write it and thank you all for still reading! :>
