Solar Eclipse

~In The White Castle~
Etihw's POV

Sitting upon my throne of bright white I sighed kicking my feet for only no show of the tip of the combat heels I wore. The dress I wore was extremely long, for what reason, I have no idea why I asked for such long fabrics to wear. Standing up I moved along the marble floor over to the window to stare out at the dreary skies turn dark as the night began to fall. Sighing as I looked out into the battlefield filled with the fallen bodies of many angels and many demons. It's nothing new as I peered into the darkening window as my reflection began to become clear in the glossy surface of the glass. Looking at my appearance in the reflection I began to acknowledge my appearance for myself.

Placing my hand on my chest as I noted the appearance of what I wore. The clothing had more detailed diamond patterning. My diamonds were a pointier and thinner shape surrounding my head like a crown of some sort. The white hues of my clothing were more varied than most assume from me. Taking a few steps back as I noted my long robe and dress to bunch up at the bottoms of my feet. The cape part was a similar style with the diamond shape flowing down as well.

I must admit it was too bright with all white. Only a few grays here and there but it wouldn't make up for the brightness inside. There was silence, deadly silence. Very usual for the castle here. Pushing lightly away from the glass I made my way back to the throne before I heard the thumps of hurried combat boots again the marble flooring of the hallways as my doors burst opened to a sweat-drenched face of an angel that was dearest close to me. "Ciel? Is there something wrong?" I asked curious to know why my healer is in a hurry here. She wasn't expected to be back until noon tomorrow. "Lady Etihw, I...... I have found Alela but she is critically injured. Please Mi'Lady there is much to discuss," she panted as she bowed to me.

Alela has been found. She's been missing for quite some time now and now she is found? How did Ciel find her? Shaking my head clear of thoughts and questions I wanted to ask her I made my way straight towards Ciel, "let us not waste a single heartbeat, dearest one, let us go, lead to where Alela is resting." I spoke as calmly as I tried. I had been worried since the discovery of her missing. Walking to the MedWing with Ciel leading me, on the only accompanied bed laid Alela. Wrapped in bandages and her chest rising slowly and falling with the same speed.

"What happened, Ciel?" I asked as I sat next to Alela on the stool next to the bed. I heard Ciel move around to the other side of the bed. "I found her while returning to base," Ciel began but I could hear hesitation, "she seemed to have many wounds but the most was a burning of a whip mark on her back near her right-wing."

"Do any of the wounds resemble ones of a demon's attack?" I watched as Ciel tensed up, "what is the matter, Ciel?" I watched as she shifted nervously. She gulped before answering me, "that is what the scary part is... the persist incisions to the bruising was not from just a random demon but more of an angel's attack... but I did see a glimpse of someone laying her down before coming across her..." My interest perked as I looked at her.

"Might you have seen the one that was next to the scene?" I asked as Ciel shifted nervously, I knew about her love for a demon but I wish not to ruin her happiness, "I promise our conversation will remain a secret as I only wish to reward the one for bringing Alela home." She sighed heavily before reaching behind her grabbing the blue fabric of her cape and frowning, "Is there something you are not telling me, Ciel?"

"I promised I would not discuss this as they've been keeping my secret but I feel like he at least deserves recognition.." Ciel murmured shedding a few tears. I stood and reached over to touch her hands, "I promise I hold no ill-will to whoever helped with the rescue of Alela," I spoke softly as she sighed and nodded her head, "So whom was it that helped rescue Alela?"

"I didn't come across her randomly more of that she was brought to me," Ciel sighed heavily once more as she looked up, "it was the Devil's head demon, Yosaflame... He carried her to my hideout and laid her on the bed explaining how he came across her before saying to be careful as Alela mentioned a traitor but he didn't press further and I told him how I would keep it secret that he saved his enemy and warned of a traitor amongst the angels... He merely thanked me and I complimented him as if he weren't a demon but an angel he would have made an excellent head angel..." I knew my eyes grew wide. I knew that Kcalb's head demon was tactical and well-mannered, I didn't know he had a soft side. I guess Sherbet could see through that hard boiling look and latch onto the poor fire demon.

"I see," I spoke softly, "It'll be hard to reward him but I am sure there will be many chances to thank that stubborn fire demon."  I smiled softly running my hand through my black strands. So is it possible for our war over something I cannot remember to come to an end? "Go on ahead and get ready for the celebrations," I spoke softly as I saw Ciel bow from the corner of my eye before walking around and leaving the room.

I sat there for a few more minutes before standing and was about to leave before I felt a tug at my sleeve. Looking down I noticed that Alela had awoken with wide terrified eyes. "A-Alela?!" I said with soft soothing tones as I sat back down and lightly grasped her smaller hands in mine. Her lips were moving but no words come out. She's trembling and shaking as her lips moved faster and faster as I felt helpless as all in my years of being God I could not think of a way to help my dear friend.

"L-lady Eti-Etihw," her voice sounded so rough and broken, "s-some-o-one is te-tell-i-ing lies," tears streamed down her face. I could do nothing more than hold her hands. "Shhh," I could barely form the words, "we will find who harmed you... But first please rest." Her whimpers were heart wrenching before she started to look drowsy and slipper back into unconsciousness. Fixing her hair away from her face and covering her with the thin sheet I looked to the window and watched as the sun and moon crossed each other blocking each other's light.

It was truly magical as colors covered the barren gray lands. Walking over to the window I placed a hand on the cool surface of the glass. Watching my angels walk out and dancing around the colored grass, it brought warmth to my mind to see my angels enjoying themselves. So today starts the month long peace from the war... If what Ciel said is true and that Yosaflame found Alela. I must somehow meet him and ask what else might've happened... That's too easy to say and not do, but I need to know more.

Yosaflame's POV

I felt the sudden pinch and breeze behind me. Turning around I saw no one. Great someone must be talking about me then. Sighing once more I walked to the Cliffside and sat down on a cracked rock near the edge. One of my only favorite scenery during the solar eclipse. I've only showed this once or twice. Lord Kcalb and Wodahs other than them no one else has seen this spot.

The light breeze was a fresh breath of air as I merely gazed towards the lower side of the landscape. In merely the distance stood the white castle it was merely a peck size from this view but was still visible due to its color. This was near the border afterall so both castles could be seen by either side if one looked hard enough. Closing my eyes as I listened to the sounds of the wind the howling as it moved between the valley and the blades of undamaged long grass swayed.

What I didn't expect was the sudden clicking of heels on the hard surface of the rock. Without opening my eyes I merely called out, "have you come to accompany me Lord Kcalb?" When no answer was received or the mere humming he did when answered I opened my eyes and looked behind me. "W-white—"
