New Guy
Wodahs's POV
Taking a deep breath in as I stared at myself in the mirror. My first mission, spy on the enemy by being in their faction. Something that only I can accomplish on my own. A high honor especially since I am so young and so new to the playing field. But Yosaflame taught me everything since I was able to crawl. "Wodahs," I heard Yosaflame say behind me snapping me back from my thoughts as I took in the refection before me. Wearing the enemies color scheme, white coat with a high collar covering my mouth, five gray diamond buttons, and white cuffs that have a diamond shape cut out of them with a gray line accenting the edge of the cuffs. With two sheathed swords, one of the sheaths being gray with the other having a gray diamond pattern in the middle. Both of the swords' handles are light gray and have a dark gray diamond pattern running through the middle. A trident with the same pattern as the swords' handles and many diamond shapes transitioning from white to light gray to dark gray in the centeron my back. My white pinstriped dark gray pants with black shoes completing the look. The complete opposite of my normal black and grey attire.
"Are you ready?" I heard Yosaflame ask me. Turning towards him I nodded my head. "I'll debrief to you what is your main focus for this spy mission," Yosaflame waved me over to sit at the darkened table in the middle of the room. Following him over he flattened out a piece of paper onto the flat surface and pointed to the rough sketch of the White Castle, "you are to enter the White God's ranks as a solider of first tier. Gain popularity and rise through the ranks to gain favor. Your mission is to find anyone that acts suspicious. Any discourse or those who spread rumors. I feel like you rising to higher ranks in a fast pace will send out some nasty rumors. Narrow those rumors to the individual that said them then report them to me and I'll deal with the final blow."
"So this isn't like some strategy stealing mission you told my brother I would be doing?" I asked with concern. Never before have I heard Yosaflame lie to my older brother. A frown formed on Yosaflame's lips creating a shadow of doubt on his normal stotic features.
"I wish for this blasted War of nothing to end," Yosaflame sighed as he stood up and taking his glasses off his face and wiping them with the rag he had pulled from his pocket, "Lord Kcalb has no memory of disgruntlement with the White God and even with my few encounters I noticed the White God even not giving it all when they clash. I can only assume they also don't remember what this War was based on. So deducting those facts then it must be from a traitorous angel calling the shots. Creating discourse which forced everyone and everything into this senseless War."
"You mean this will stop the War if we find this traitorous angel?" I asked as Yosaflame nodded his head and placing his red framed glasses back on the bridge of his nose. "But Yosaflame why me? I'm still not fully trained in the ways of battle, I've only ever trained with you and Lost and at times Cranber. I've never seen the real battlefield."
"That's your advantage into the White God's forces. No one will realize your a spy from the Black Devil," Yosaflame pointed at the rough drawing once more, "your inexperience will be your strongest strategy. But if others start to question you use the angel in blue with blonde hair as a reference, she'll back you up."
"Is that Lost's Juliet lover?" I asked as he smirked at me. Oh it is Lost's lover then, he's been happy lately so that means she's back at the boarder in that rescue camp for him to be spirited again. "And she's okay with this?" I asked as Yosaflame moved to the other side of the table.
"I am not the only one that shares the thought of ending this senseless War with less bloodshed than that has already been spilt. If you're successful in this mission along with finding the culprit," Yosaflames features softened, only I and my brother has seen a soften expression play upon Yosaflames features before no one else, "then there will be color again. I've seen how everyone celebrates with the rare rays of color once a year. If we succeed then the rest will be continuously happy after this War is over. But only way to succeed is to track and kill this traitorous angel off."
"I—I understand now Yosaflame," I nodded, my voice stuttered for a mere second but no scolding came from Yosaflame. "But how do I convince the White God's forces I wish to be a new recruit and settle with them. My wings are still black as night and my halo still drips black. Dead giveaways I am not an angel but a dark angel."
Yosaflame chuckled as he pulled out a bright yellow halo. "H-how did you get that," I asked as he handed it to me.
"I have my ways," Yosaflame shrugged his shoulders, "and no I didn't kill an angel to get it. The halo's of dead angels dull and become useless. It'll give you away if I had gotten a halo from a dead angel."
"And you didn't steal it?" I asked as he shook his head. Taking it from his hands I reached above my head and took the oil dripping halo above my head and taking it from its antigravity placement before raising the other halo and placing it when mine was just hovering. Within an instant I felt lighter as I moved my wings to see them fade out from their normal dark gray to white.
"There you officially look the part of a rookie angel," Yosaflame gave a court huff or could I call it a half chuckle. "We best get going," Yosaflame walked towards the door, "we're heading out while everyone else is asleep and meeting with Lost's lover, she already has a cover story for you to use."
I blinked as he walked towards the door and I followed, "wait are we not going to see brother one last time?" I asked as he walked down the corridor leading to the back door entrance of the castle.
"Lord Kcalb already knows the minor details I told the truth about but doesn't know as much as you do neither does he know I had acquired an angels halo that is still active and not from a dead one. In hindsight he might think I might have stolen it but that isn't the case," Yosaflame grunted out as he opened the back entrance and waited for me to step out. He closed the door behind me and handed me a cloak, "we must move fast before the first patrol. They are aware I assigned a task for you but no other details beyond of what was given at the meeting hall."
Following Yosaflame towards the boarder I noticed how bland it is, I can see why Yosaflame is doing all this now. Frowning I kept pace with him as we reached the boarder and crossed it into a small encampment. This is new. "Oh, Yosaflame you came," the honey voice rang in my ear as an angel from what I could tell came from an entrance of the tent, "and who might this be?"
The angel pointed towards me, "this is Wodahs the one I mentioned that'll be joining you in the rookie ranks. I'm sure Lost has handed you the letter I wrote?" Yosaflame gestured towards the tent.
She nodded her head before opening the curtain that lead into the tent. Yosaflame gestured me to go first before following behind. "Any news on the young angel that I delivered to you," Yosaflame asked as the angel moved to the other side of the tent pulling out cups and a kettle already with warm water.
"As I stated before Grora is much better now though she still remains in a comatose state," the angel said with a soft tone, "Lady Etihw may think it's from the shock that she endured during the time she was entrapped in that crate you found her in. Malnuritionment was very evident in her state. More than likely been in that crate for more than a couple of days like originally thought."
"The outpost looked like it has been abandoned for several months before I burnt it down," Yosaflame retorted, "though the last report from my team dated that around 4 weeks ago there was sounds and movement inside the outpost prior to our order to take care of it. Well more like me burning it down."
"Well Grora didn't go missing until 5 weeks ago so that would make sense as to when she might've been put into that crate," the angel hummed as she placed the cups in front of me and Yosaflame. Why was Yosaflame so calm and nonchalant with this angel? What does this angel mean saved another? Yosaflame doesn't sound like the one to even save one of his sworn enemies, unless, they were a younger one. Oh, the angel that they're talking about must be around my age then. Yosaflame was the only one besides brother that took care of me.
"But I am sure this young one has more questions than anything," I snapped from my thoughts as I watch the angel stand next to the seat and pinching the helm of her skirt before giving a curtsey bow, "hello Wodahs I am Ciel. It may have appears that you already started connecting a few dots."
I nodded my head in acknowledgement towards the angel names Ciel. It certainly was different. Hearing from other demons that were on the battlefield what angels were like, Ciel was the complete opposite. "You'll be heading towards the white Castle again to check on the Grora child right," Yosaflame asked snapping me out of my thoughts once more.
"Yes, after all under your suggestion to keep her hidden until Wodahs was added to the ranks, only I and Lady Etihw knows she was found and returned," Ciel answered back. So everything was planned but it's still bothering me how did Yosaflame get a halo and why does he believe there's a traitor amongst the angels that cause this never-ending drowning war?
"Very well," Yosaflame took a final sip from the cup before standing, "Wodahs," I looked up as soon as he called my name, "Ciel will brief you on the basics and just remember next time you would likely see me or your brother is on the battlefield. Treat us like the enemy," I flinched as Yosaflame finished. This is my first ever real mission and here I am going to act as a part of a spy and make it convincing.
Yosaflame nodded his head to Ciel before walking out of the tent into the night. "So shall we start," Ciel said with her soft tone, "we have to go over mannerisms and debriefing on how things are ran over in the White Castle which we have a week to do," she walked over to a shelf and pulled out a book, "Flame has stated that you are a quick learner and I trust his words about it." She set the book in front of me as she sat back down. This is going to be an interesting mission then. But, I do have my doubts about my acting, could I really fool the other angels?

Hello everyone,
Wow it's been 2 years since I touched this one which I apologize. I was busy with my main original works and also I am slowly losing interest in this app/website so I am looking for a new place to type my works. I am moving my original works onto Toyhou.se but I don't really have a spot yet to put my fandom writings. Hopefully I find something soon that isn't as annoying as Wattpad. As it's become so much like it's run by cheesy ai stories. I'll continue to write here and finish this one before moving completely off this website/app so don't worry you won't have to hunt it down for the finished piece. I'll most likely cross post like what I am doing with my original work between here and Toyhou.se but anyways hope you enjoy and this is Midnight and I'll see ya on the flip side~
