EVE'S POV

After a smooth drive, we arrived back at the tall building that housed a bunch of students. As compared to before, the parking lot was quite spacious. While Nathan parked his black car, I gathered my phone and tangled earpiece into my palms.

I gazed at Nathan once again only to find him staring right through me. His eyes were glazed as if he was thinking deep, "Thanks for the food. Good night, I guess." That got his attention. He blinked twice before clearing his throat and nodding slightly.

I placed my hand on the smooth door handle but before I could fully open it, Nathan's hand gripped my shoulders.

I turned around, only to see his illuminating pair of eyes looking into mine. Our gazes locked and Nathan started leaning in slowly to me. His firm grip moved from my shoulder to my flushed cheek. All this while, he kept his eyes on me. My eyes shifted to his soft-looking lips before they crashed onto mine.

My slender fingers made their way to the back of his head, caressing his soft hair. His lips had a touch of fresh mint on them. It was a slow but passionate kiss that held a hint of need in it. He rubbed his thumb on my cheek before we gradually pulled apart.

Our foreheads rested against each other while we smiled at the same time. "I should get going now. It's getting late." My words came out almost as whispers. A sexy smirk appeared on his face, making me giggle a little.

I managed to make my way out of the car with my slightly shaky legs. He rolled the window slowly as I stood awkwardly. "Good night, beautiful," He smiled sweetly.

"Good night," I spun quickly and walked majestically out of the large parking lot, towards the entrance of the campus. Before climbing the three-step staircase, I turned back to Nathan and waved at him, smiling. He waved back slowly before he drove off. I finally got into the campus and strolled to my dorm room.

I finally drove myself quickly through the group of people in the hallway. As I scurried away, my thoughts took sides on the fact that I couldn't handle crowds. I smiled lightly, knowing very well that Nathan was right.

I entered my dorm and allowed my single bed to catch me without giving it any prior notice. I lay there smiling so hard that it felt as if my face was stuck like that forever! Knowing very well that I couldn't sleep if I hadn't called Emma, I grasped my phone which was sitting on the bed beside me.

Scanning the time, I decided to send her a message instead as it was ten-thirty at night. I punched my password in quickly and watched as the phone unlocked, displaying the beautiful image of Emma and me which has been my screensaver since I got the phone.

'Emma!' I hit the send button on the very instant I typed.

'Girl!' I'm quite sure she texted as soon as she saw the message.

'It happened! We kissed!'

'OMG Eve! I need details tomorrow!'

'For sure, I'll tell everything tomorrow!'

'Sleep, tight girl. I honestly can't wait!' Her reply made a light chuckle pass through my lips as I read it.

'It's just a few hours away! Goodnight.'

'Goodnight!'

After reading her the final text, I threw my phone on my bed and headed to the tiny bathroom to get ready to fall into a tranquil sleep.

I stepped into my cosy pyjamas and exhaled heavily as I sat on the bed.

It was a few minutes to eleven o'clock when I tucked my long legs into the soft, large lilac duvet. I placed my phone onto the wooden corner table, switching off the light that the short lamp produced.

I stared into the darkness with heavy eyes, waiting patiently for sleep to come lurking around.
