Time flew quickly as the scorching afternoon converted to a cool night. Nathan had to take his leave as it was getting darker. I escorted him to his car while we spoke about anything that came up.
The cold air outside blew across my arms. I folded them, trying to keep them warm. He leaned on his car and I stood facing him.
"I feel a lot better. Thank you, Eve." This caused me to focus on his figure under the moonlight. I simply smiled and folded my arms tighter. "I should get going. I don't want to keep you freezing."
He pulled me into his embrace for a warm hug. His sweet scented cologne made its way into my nostrils as I buried my face into his broad chest. He rested his chin on my head and kissed my hair softly.
I took steps back and he sat in his car. He rolled down the clean glasses and started his roaring ignition.
"Good night beautiful," He said and it reminded me of the first time he said it. A slight smile invented on my lips.
"Good night," I said and he drove off. I watched as the car disappeared into the dark night. I rubbed my arms swiftly, making my way back to the dorm.
----------------------------------
I woke up and it was very cloudy. The thick skies were grey and the wind blew, making me shiver. I looked out my window in disappointment, knowing it was going to pour heavily.
Loud terrifying sounds were produced from the fumy clouds. I walked unhurriedly to the bathroom, particularly unhappy about the weather.
The warm water splashed on my palms, as it came running down the faucet. My tired face was washed, waking me up fully. I turned to look at the bath tub and my mood darkened again.
The shower I took was extremely quick. Standing in front of my neatly organised closet, I picked an extra-large sweatshirt and a pair of ripped jeans. For the final look, which I wasn't much interested in, I threw on my sneakers.
I didn't even bother to look in the mirror. I simply slung my book bag over my shoulder, picked my keys and walked to my car, hoping to make it class on time.
NATHAN'S POV
The 8:30am thunderous grey clouds produced small droplets of rain. With my soft blanket, still draped over my body, I listened carefully to splattering of rainwater on my roof. Still lying in bed, I was gazing at the white ceiling above my head. I allowed myself to sink deep into a sea of thoughts.
'Things have started to change. The way things are going is good. Things have started to get better. But are they getting better for good?'
This one question replayed severally in my mind's DVD. I shifted my gaze to my phone, when it buzzed. My sweaty palms managed to hold the phone in place, as I read the notification with a blur vision.
It read: 'You have been recommended to do a painting for an anonymous source! Grab the offer!'
I sighed heavily, knowing what this meant. Every time I get notified like this, it included a whooping amount of money. I clicked on the 'accepted' button as excitement had made its way to my doorstep.
With these kinds of contracts, the money being offered wasn't anything anyone would reject, but the work was just as much! I sought out information about who I was doing the painting for. Much wasn't identified, but I know it's a female, to my utmost surprise.
I rapidly got out of bed and wrote down niceties on the painting I was to do. For someone being naturally artistic like me, it wasn't a hard job at all!
After I went through my morning effectively, I decided to start with work. I had approximately two weeks and a few days to finish it so I might as well start as soon as possible. That's what I call being professional!
