EVE'S POV

Nathan's head was bent while he staring into his phone. I cleared my throat lightly before I spoke.

"Hi," I said and he looked up and inserted his phone into his back pocket.

"Hey." He smiled sweetly. I opened my door and we went in.

"It's tidy now." I chuckled, looking around my clean room.

He smiled again and nodded. "I was hoping we could get lunch?"

"That would be great. Just give me a minute." I went to the bathroom to check myself out. I pulled my straight hair into a tight ponytail. I quietly murmured a few words of encouragement to myself.

'I'm fine. I'll be fine... Just be yourself.'  I applied a thin layer of lip gloss on my lips and headed out of the bathroom.

"I'm ready," I grabbed my small black bag and grabbed my necessities from my book bag and put them in it.

Nathan opened my door for me and I chuckled. The walk to his car was not too quiet. We chitchatted about anything he brought up till we made it to his car. He did the same gesture he did earlier and I sat comfortably in his car.

"Thank you," I said with a smile. "So where are we going to?"

"One of my favourite places down the street," He said and started the car. The cool air from the atmosphere came together with the rose scented air refresher, producing an appealing smell.

"Okay..." I said quietly as I continued inhaling the aroma. We talked about random things while he drove carefully to his favourite place.

NATHAN'S POV

She doesn't even try to be beautiful. Even with the simplest outfit, she is exceedingly stunning. I catch quick glimpses of her as we head to the restaurant. After quite a short ride, we had reached our destination.

I rolled the windows and unbuckled my seat belt. I alighted from the car and jogged over to her side to open the door for her.

"Here we are," I said and held the door as she alighted. She adjusted the bag on her shoulder.

"Thank you." I love her smile...

We were accompanied to a table at the back of the restaurant by a waiter. We were both given a large menu. We ordered our food from the load of delicious options. As soon as it was served, we dug right in.

"This is good," She said, munching on her food.

I very much agreed. "It is."

We ate our food in utter silence, enjoying the appealing taste of it. After we order drinks and they had arrived, we talked in between sips of the flavoursome juices.

"We could take a stroll in the park. What do you think?" I took a long sip of my drink after I suggested the idea.

"Yeah okay," She stirred the ice cubes in her drink and nodded.

The full moon was taking the place of the bright sun as night drew closer. We arrived shortly after, at the quite empty park. The cold air blew all over the place. Eve shivered slightly, rubbing her arms back and forth. I took off my leather jacket and put it around her shoulders.

"Thank you," She positioned the large piece of clothing on her shoulders.

We walked hand in hand for a while and came to a stop, standing across each other. Eve looked down in shyness as I drew nearer to her, almost closing the distance between us. I stared deeply into her blue eyes and held her soft palms in mine.

I pulled her in slowly for an affectionate hug. My arms rested just above her waist as I lightly tightened my grip. We swayed from left to right and I buried my chin into her hair. The appealing smell travelled through my nostrils as I shut my eyes.

She lay quietly on my chest. I kissed the top of her head before we came apart. She stared down at the green grass again. I cupped her chin into my palm, lifting her head up. A small shy smile crept up her beautiful face.

"It's getting late. We should get going," She almost whispered with flushed cheeks.

"Right," I said oddly and we both laughed. As we walked out of the dark park to my car, I fixed my jacket on her shoulders. I held the door for her before I sat in my seat, quickly buckling my belt. I drove her back to her campus as we sang to songs the radio played.
