Chapter 84

When Alana gets off the phone with Luke, she just thinks what happens when this is over? Can she let go? At the moment, she doesn't want to or think she can. She is the happiest she has ever been. Just thinking about Luke brings her happiness, everything that they have done together, and it was just in a short time. Alana just knows that Luke still cares greatly for his wife, and that is a big problem. She also sees that he wants both of them, as for her, she would just pick him. She just knows better than to let go of Thomas. If she did her son's life would get turned around, and so would hers. Luke wasn't leaving, so she would still be in the same boat just changing everyone else's lives also.

Luke also thinks about when this ends, he cares very much for Alana and has the whole time, knowing that it wasn't fair to her or his wife to want the both of them. He never lied to Alana though, always being honest about how he felt about his wife. He just knew not to see Alana again would hurt him greatly. He felt like himself with her, she didn't judge or treat him differently. she wanted him and made him feel incredible, like the only man alive. He just thinks about what she said, let's enjoy now and not think about it. He was going to try, even though it was hard for him. His quilt wasn't only for his wife anymore, it was also for Alana. He was being pulled in two directions and he didn't know which he wanted anymore.

That Thursday comes, and both of their excitement grows, as it does every Thursday. It gave them something to look forward to. Luke just keeps all his indecisiveness to himself, wanting to live in the moment. Which was something he rarely did.

The private I sits outside of the Vet office, keeping a keen look knowing that Thomas said that today she stays late. He didn't really see why she would need to, as he was following her daily routines. Just knowing she stayed late, felt odd to him. He just made sure he packed his extra goodies to snack on to watch the show.

He sees that the day goes like every other day, nothing out of the ordinary. Customers coming and going, Alana even coming outside to help some with their pets. He sees how much she loves her job and the animals. He also sees that most of the time It's just Alana and Judy in the office. The vet himself only appears when he has surgery or something serious to do. Duggan sees that the vet himself is a very old man, and there is nothing to worry about with him. He isn't the one.

As the day progresses, he sees that Judy leaves early today. Not staying till the normal 5 O' clock. He watches as Judy walks out of the vet and goes on her way. Alana just stays in the vet doing her regular routine until 4:30. He sees she locks the door, and closes the front light of the office. He just can't see what else she is doing inside the office. He just knows this normally doesn't happen on regular nights, and she didn't seem to be letting anyone else in.

Alana goes into the back of the office, changing her clothes and getting ready for Luke to come. She is very excited and can't wait to see him. She puts on a grey long sleeve tight short dress, with her thigh-high black boots. She brushes her hair and puts on some makeup.

She knows in a short time he will be there, and she wants to be ready. She was happy that Judy had to leave early today. It left the office to them, it wasn't the best place in the world but like Luke mentioned it was better than the car. No one was here to see them, or even notice, the back of the office was closed in, and they were safe from prying eyes. It would just look like the office was closed.

Around 5, Luke texts her.

"Hey baby, I am parking the car. I hope your ready, I drove by and saw that the office is dark. Will the door be open?" Luke asks.

"Yes I am opening it now, just for you, soon as you get here I will lock it and we can go into the back." Alana answers.

"Ok, give me a few minutes babe," Luke says.

Duggan sees that Alana goes in front of the door to unlock it, he just stares seeing she changed her clothes, but not able to see much else as the lights are off. Duggan sees this as suspicious, to say the least. It didn't look like she was working, what was going on?
