Chapter 48

The next day comes pretty fast both of them, excited and not able to wait, for tonight to come. Alana gets up for work, walking on cloud nine, her whole being happy and alive for the first time in a very long time. Luke feels the same, and also a be nervous, wondering what is going to really take place tonight? Will this bomb? Or will it be something they never forget?

Alana goes to work, bringing her date clothes with her, wanting to have everything with her so she could just change into them at work, not even going home or letting anyone know. She wanted to look nice for tonight. It gave her something to look forward to. She finds herself smiling all through the day, as she keeps checking her watch to see what time it is. The time seems as if it's going as slow as it can for her.

When it does become 4:30 Alana goes into the back, and puts on her black tight dress, with long sleeves and a V neck. It hugs every part of her body, she adds black pantyhose and heels. Then she touches up her makeup and fixes her hair. Looking into the mirror feeling nervous as ever.

"I can do this," She says to herself as she takes a deep breath and walks out of the Vet bathroom.

"Well, don't you look hot?" Judy says with a laugh.

"You think? I am so nervous...I want to look perfect." Alana says.

"You look great, it doesn't matter anyway he probably wants you out of the clothes." Judy laughs.

"That just makes me more nervous... Let's just see how this goes. I am going to go wait on the corner. I will tell you everything tomorrow." Alana says.

"You Better, I want to know it all!" Judy answers.

Alana just smiles going outside, seeing a text from Luke.

"Hey babe, I am almost there. How was your day?" Luke asks.

"It was good. I can't wait to see you. I am so nervous and excited about this." Alana reveals.

"Same here. I should be there soon, I will also need to look for parking so give me a few." Luke replies.

"That's fine," Alana answers waiting on the corner, wondering so many things.

As she waits for Luke, snow flurries start coming down. Lightly hitting her on the face. She just smiles, this was beautiful to walk in through the lighted street with. She couldn't wait, she knew it was the most simple thing yet, but she wanted to share that with him, for some reason she wanted to share a lot of things with him. Right now would tell, if that would happen, or if this was all a fairy tale.

Luke finds a parking space, parking his black dodge four-door car, before getting out, he takes a deep breath knowing this could go any way, and if he was honest, he wasn't really sure which way he really wanted this to go.

If it went well, what did that mean for there marriages? For them in general? Was this going to head in disaster? Then a part of him didn't want it to go the other way and be nothing. Just a meeting as friends, and nothing more. He was confused by most of his feelings. He just didn't let that stop him this time, he put his ass into the car and went, needing to find out, what this was. He didn't let his overthinking, take over him.

He gets out of the car, not parking too far away from where Alana is waiting. He sees her, standing on the corner, it's getting dark and he only gets a glimpse of a tall slender woman, wearing a black wool coat. As he walks towards her, he sees more, her smile gleaming which makes him do the same.

He walks up to her, looking at her face which takes his breath away.

"Hello, Missy," Luke says.

"Hello, Handsome," Alana answers putting her arms around him.

Not able to control herself, he looks even better in person. She just feels the need to hold him close. Luke accepts the hug, more than willingly. Feeling her up close against him feels wonderful. He can't believe how pretty she is, and he is in awe of it all. The hug lasts for a few minutes, neither wanting to let go but knowing they have to.

"It's nice to finally meet you in person," Alana says.

"Same here, you're very pretty." Luke states.

"Thank you, you're not so bad yourself," Alana answers with a smile.

"I am here for you to take me anywhere you want. Where are we going?" Luke asks.

"First, down the street. If we walk through here and get to the street ahead its all done up. It's a beautiful sight." Alana says.

"There is already a beautiful sight in front of me. I don't think I could ask for more."Luke comments not able to hold back.

He couldn't believe it, she was better than she was online, could this be?

Alana just looks at him, seeing his sweet face knowing she is in big trouble. Her feelings for him, are there shining through. She goes to hold his hand as they walk, and the electric between them is very there.
