Hisashi Kaneshiro mostly called by his last name Kaneshiro, is an minor antagonist of vol 2 of [Toaru Kagaku no Code Vader] A Certain Scientific Code Vader. He is one of Academy City's Board of Directors and CEO of Chrysanthemum Industries. Responsible for funding the Dark Side and many other illegal projects such as the merchant who currently funding in the kidnappings in vol 2 marking as the indirect cause until he takes action himself. He is the wielder of the mysterious ability World Eater, and knows some secrets of Imagine Breaker and Wild Cards.

Appearance
Kaneshiro designed is ideal of a business man that's hard to read. It's ideal he is someone who is uncomfortable being around no matter his mood he tends to never smile.

Kaneshiro is always seen with a suit mostly black, with messy medium hairstyle. He hardly form a smile and seems stressed tried look.

• While coming up with a title of World Eater, Zzz-Awakening and IlPrincipePapero joked about being a Pokémon trainer of the Toaru universe after Z explain how his ability works. It was hinted that Pokémon Legacy had some influence among his development. Papero came up with the other nicknames such as World vessel, Calamity Holder
• Kaneshiro designed is ideal of a drunk business man that's upset. Is ideal he is someone who is uncomfortable being around.
• Z aimed to make Kaneshiro a balanced villain that can easily defeat his and viperslim90's characters with ease. One that's Kihara Akuma successor in Z's writing, with high expectations. One that despite viperslim90's powerful characters wouldn't underestimate, dare simply approach, nor fight comfortably like the past challenges they face prior to their own stories. And one that Z characters will have to evolve to challenge.

Abilities

World Eater
Kaneshiro's ability World Eater ワールドイーター (Wārudoītā) lit World Vessel. A mysterious power that resides in his right hand. It is unknown when or how long he had World Eater but it's confirmed he knowledge and experience of the ability. He is able to devour, and gain the victims that are effected by his power.

It's unknown of the results of the being soul being devoured but Kaneshiro knows for a fact he has that said being in his possession kept within him like a vessel.

Dragons
Kaneshiro was completely surprised and didn't expect the aftermath of Touma & Gunha battle with Misaka phase NEXT, and took upon the luck of obtaining an dragon, it is unknown how many dragons Kaneshiro has, or if he had any before the daihaseisai festival. But he confirms he might have been worried/afraid to have to fight Heruka Li Mei without one mainly the Flame Dragon.
• The Corpse Flame Dragon (骸炎ドラゴン, The Corpse Flame Dragon - It is an undead fire dragon with flames erupting from its bones. It damages things with an energy drain that seemingly burns life force itself. The perfect weapon to defeat a life force Aura Storm esper ability such as Li Mei, the dragon strike her once instantly defeating her and returning her back to her original state. Though it couldn't drain Li Mei out completely and she was able to cut off two his fingers with concreted aura spoons.

Wisdom King
In Toaru Kagaku no Code Vader Kaneshiro defeated Heruka Li Mei and devoured her Wisdom King. He confirms her lost isn't a lost, and has more than one wisdom king since extracting one out of the possession vessel means immediate death. He currently has not use the wisdom king, yet and it's unknown if he can take on the form like Li Mei but possible at least the abilities of the Wisdom King. Kaneshiro seem to have knowledge of what the wisdom kings are and particularly a reason of fear of Li Mei's existence.

AIM Burst
It is unknown what type of being he owns but he confirms he devoured one under the testing of the science side.

Weaknesses
It seems that unlike Imagine Breaker he's limbs are not replaced meaning he'll have to keep his hand and arm from being sever are it will damage his world Eater at the most likely scenario lose control of it. It takes fact that World Eater is the Calamity Vessel that seals away mythical creatures hard to comprehend or understand. When it was damage by Li Mei he was anger deeply and immediately tried to brutalize her to death. Not to mention his hand seem to can't handle a continuous attack similar to imagine breaker's time lag cancellation except the results are even worst on World Eater as a inappropriate Tfs recurring joke "I can only swallow so much!" These weaknesses are not much a problem do to having to hit the right points to break Kaneshiro's guard to make such a mistake, however certain characters mainly Li Mei Xaoidan, but other characters and abilities are threats Takitsubo Rikou (due to the AIM Burst), Clairvoyance, Remote viewing. However Kaneshiro is aware of his weaknesses and prepare in advance on certain opponents, however he underestimate Li Mei's stamina.

Noted that he recover his fingers meaning normal medical care and fix his world eater, but it almost means he will have to make sure his whole arm is in contact.

It also seems that he is either afraid or his personally to only have something among human nature reason to why he has not devoured a human, though he never bother to try.

Politics

Science side

As Academy City's Board of Directors Kaneshiro was able to get his own safe research on World Eater. Speculation's were made and Discovery by Kihara Akuma believing that World Eater either has connections to or can reach the realm Imaginary Number District. Kaneshiro closed off the idea of being connected but does believe his right hand can reach Imaginary Number District. Meaning he can devour beings that such as AIM bursts/AIM Diffusion Field Manifestation & Artificial Angels though even if World Eater has this capable doesn't mean he is strong enough to go up against someone of the scale of Aiwass, (unless he has a trump card). Kaneshiro believes the first step to tap into the gods would be to target Kazakiri Hyouka. However similar current problem just as the magic side's magic gods Kaneshiro is still mortal and can not reach the boundaries with his full body, only his right hand can travel the realm and not himself. He is currently unable to achieve this goal, but it's confirmed he does has possession of an AIM burst to prove its theory.

Magic side

In the Christian dominations of the magic side, especially the Roman Catholic Church and the Church of Necessary Evil, sees World Eater as Omnism power of greed, a power that respect the term of god until they can have it for themselves. While being an Omnism it is truly seen as an Syncretism one who will take what they want out of the belief and put it together with other regions, in term one of the most disrespectful power of the magic side. Kaneshiro himself is considered a Syncretic someone who doesn't care what he's devouring from whatever region as long as it's (powerful/useful) but believes and respect the religion's power. Kaneshiro's existing it's self dangerous why many from the magic side have tried to end his life, as his existence is a threat. Unlike imagine breaker Kaneshiro thought twice about upbringing a war, and tend to avoid taking action unless he is forcefully involved.

Personality
Hisashi Kaneshiro is best described as a man's man Even committed wrongs he takes responsibility as a man to finish through. Even judging the merchant for feeling guilty over the causalities that they are causing. Kaneshiro is very cautious and only approach an enemy if he is prepared, he is conflicted with dealing in fights, against Aura Storm and Dark Matter as they are randomized effect patterns. However despite his frustrated challenges his ideology is to face anything like a man and leave an example to the surviving young of what a man and responsible really is.

Kaneshiro hates those that are reckless enough risk the danger of magic and science such as Touma Kamijou, Zack Yoshikage, Li Mei Xiaodan, considering them idiots and mainly New Age as he sees them as a retard organization that can't even defeat a bunch of kids.

Kaneshiro have a way with words to manipulate many (forming a Kaneshiro faction)

Kaneshiro seemly don't judge the term as a man to age rather personally and actions as he knows some grew up quickly just to survive the dark side. He looked down on TARDY for endangering many including Li Mei despite hating Aura Storm ability he can still look past what's done to her was awful, and can respect some one like Tedashii Hamasaki for arguing with Masato jun'ichi while showing off mature proper greeting. (Though he disliked that his head was down), and can always respect a man who is willing to protect that certain someone while taking care of them. Something that he at least respect from Touma, Accelerator, Zack, and Tedashii.

His actions however seemly contradict his ideology at times but he doesn't believe such. Being a sexiest at time expecting the "woman" has to be protected and say at home while the man endure war. However he shows no mercy to a woman who tries to fight him deeming that as a threat to his own manhood. Or one that takes a man for granted.

Even if it doesn't seem like it Kaneshiro has a sense of humor, not that he makes jokes but rather have a weakness to "Man of culture" comedy.

Kaneshiro has his wishful limit if he doesn't have to be, he won't sacrifice another life.

Not too long ago before the start of volume 2 Li Mei took the exam to see if she was ready to become a level 5. And when she met Kaneshiro, he easily made her nervous. And fail her on purpose due to chairman's order, Kaneshiro fear Li Mei's potential wanting her to die, respecting her power and title as an imaginary script. And even called the (merchant) to call off the hit when he found out Tardy target her. Even going out his way to defeat her for Tardy assuming kids like them will die by her hands. However despite all this it didn't change his hatred towards anyone who dare harm his world Eater. He brutally beat Li Mei and if not for Mara's cry and not trying to scar to life foolish kids he would have killed her just as he wish she was dead. Hinting his hate of respecting for a girl.
