Akahana Yoko is the main female character of [Toaru Kagaku no Coder Vader] A Certain Scientific Code Vader. She is a young girl with the signature esper power Data Mine which eventually boosted and improve while being locked within a pod connected to the signal Satellite to Academy City's tree diagram.
Her actions and relationship towards Tedashii's growth plays a key role.

Etymology
Akahana origin Red Rose, is contrast to Akahana's red hair. And in later chapters comedy scenarios when annoyed by Tedashii's new popularity with other female characters. In later chapters she gain the capabilities to pout, as she pout her checks blush red when she's jealous, given her names such as Tomato head, and later lollipop big boobs from Aogami Pierce and Tsuchimikado.

Appearance
Despite being a cyborg or what she claim to be (a droid) Akahana actually is human.

Akahana has scarlet red hair, hazelnut color eyes, pale white skin. Akahana is 4'7, it is also noted by Tedashii that her breast size is rather large for her size, and estimated them to be at least E-cup size.

Just As Tedashii Hamasaki, Akahana design varies with each new volume.

In chapter two she obtained her own outfit wearing a short yellow jacket, chop topping black shirt, were you could see her belly button and stomach, a red skirt, yellow striped stockings, and black boots. She also wears a red ribbon bow tied to her head giving her a long ponytail hair style.

During the epilogue of the Tree Diagram Arc and volume 2 she now has two red ribbon bows twin-pig tails. In volume 2 she's seen wearing a casual pink short jacket, white shirt, and a black shorts with the same boots worn from volume 1.

• Akahana concept design is basic off Goddess Hestia from Danmachi. Referencing even her nickname with similar body and titles.
• Akahana design is also basic off android anime characters.
• Akahana relationship towards Tedashii could be compare to that of Touma Kamijou relationship with Index Librorum Prohibitorum, Accelerator and Last Order.
• Akahana is one year older than Tedashii which is ironic since Tedashii treats her as if she's younger.
• The creation of Shadow Rensa is an example of the risks of Data Mine's true potential. As Akahana Yoko accidentally created her when she became corrupt by Masato's virus. This also proved that Kihara Akuma was wrong about data mine being immune to viruses in vol 1. However it seems that she can only be hacked and infected if she would unconsciously connect to the hacked or infected equipment, meaning she could only be the one at fault if she gets hacked or infected. However "Just A Herd" could possibly be the only said ability to take control of Data Mine unless the effect is similar Shokuhou's case we're she gains the information but is unable to do anything with said information.

Abilities

Data Mine
A Signature Esper ability that only Akahana Yoko possess and so far is the only known Esper to have this ability. Data Mine is a ability that focuses on connecting the Esper to electronic devices with different wave rhythms from Akahana by using her AIM diffusion field as a phenomenal router and apply and enter command information to transfer data to changing programming language.

Network
This ability can go so far into acting as a WiFi internet database of all of Akahana's Knowledge from the network Turning into its own network to all things that connected to her Esper ability. The items that has store data could also transfer data back to Akahana which could turned her into a cloud backup drive. So far she was connected to the tree diagram before it's destruction, and has all the remaining information of the Tree Diagram meaning she know of every secret of Academy City, even confirms Knowledge of the identities of Tedashii and the soon later the Dark May Project. This is how she earned her nickname walking Satellite Girl.

The most fearsome thing of Data Mine, Akahana is capable of transferring even human data giving a Tech artificial intelligence. She could possible give life to tech and create a army of robots.

How it functions
In order to use Data Mine this ability acts passive and active to Akahana as her AIM diffusion field creates it's own Phenomenal signal, a unknown phenomenon signal that ignores reality and transformed into a similar wave signal as the other that searches for that desire signal and acts as the required signal. (like Bluetooths) Because the AIM does the transforming wave form and searches requirements this part of the ability is passive and causes Akahana to accidentally connect to users tech. Once connected the AIM sends Information processing with input from the sensory organs, which transform physical stimuli sound waves, or photons of light into electrochemical signals. The sensory information is repeatedly transformed by the algorithms of the brain in both bottom-up and top-down processing.

Weakness
However the AIM only get Akahana connected and nothing further meaning that if Akahana desires to manipulate with what she is connected to especially computers she must apply calculations In mathematics and computing, from the hexadecimal formula.
This extremely difficulty she would have to make separate calculations with every single device all at the same time rendering the ability useless due to the somewhat controllable passive side from the AIM resulting her as a level 1. She is only considered a level one because if she focuses hard enough on a single tech she could control the AIM's wave. Another reason as her development is difficult to process as she is the only known resident of Academy City who wield this ability.

But thanks to the cyborg implications done to her head she does not have to focus too hard on a single tech and once finish making said adjustments the coding is permitted and can continue to be further edited every time she repeated the same progress in connecting to said device.

Her passive connected effects from a her AIM that acts as a invisible wave-particle that behave with velocities, wavelengths, amplitudes, and frequencies. This mean it has Vectors and Accelerator can reflect Data Mine while holding any device rendering her from using her ability.

In a terrifying twist Mental Out is the opposite of Data Mine but is considered superior as Shokuhou Misaki could just simply take control of Akahana and gain all her new knowledge in tech however since Akahana's AIM is the trigger Shokuhou would not be able to use Data Mine.

(Combat Skills)
In Code Vader chapter three she tried to enter combat mode but was stopped by Tedashii. So it's hinted that she has capabilities in combat experience. Due to the influence of Data Mine her ability could have possible sent data information of techniques from martial arts etc. It is not sure how far Data Mine could transfer human knowledge so that could also be invalid. In Volume 2 she uses a Judo kung fu technique to comedic pin down Tedashii for startling her while breaking a promise of coming back home at a certain time.

Personality

In early chapters Akahana only sees herself as a computer droid nothing more nothing less, ignoring her thirty percent of humanity that she proclaimed. When Akahana talks she pause before speaking with most of her dialogue beginning with (...). This can only apply that she is loading her next phase, before speaking. Instead of saying certain words such as (time), she would quote the definition instead like (indefinite continued progress of existence + etc)
She has shown capable of speaking without the (...) If she could come up with that though without the cyborg programing.
In the tree diagram arc chapters she was only capable of an dull stare, as shown she was incapable to access any other expressions. But at the end of the arc after being saved by Tedashii who modified her program chip within her head. She gain other face expressions after being saved by Tedashii as she believes that Tedashii unlock 1% additional to her 30% humanity.

She also tries to aim her knowledge as far as possible to surpass the Tree Diagram's bank of information as she only has 90% of the tree diagram's info. This causes her to gain error ideas such as mistaking a prop as an actual alien. This also shows that she is jealous of the tree diagram. She also considered other machinery as equals to humans in future chapters. Even talking to them despite no replies, she even names a cleaning bot as a friend. When she talks to a droid or machinery she quotes "Bebo Beee!!" As if she is speaking in robot tongue.

She also seem closer to humanity than Tedashii himself, in and after chapter three she seen right through Tedashii's poker face throwing him off. Around Volume 1 & 2 she shown to now develop a obsession to aliens and is desperate to prove them real.

Relationships

Tedashii Hamasaki
In the beginning Akahana seen herself as nothing but a droid, And seen him as someone who illegally stolen her.
Unbothered by human emotions, such as embarrassment from Tedashii seeing her naked, casually say wants in her mind to him regardless how he feels about it since she felt there should be no connection between human and machinery. Even brushing and exposing his true feelings, when he showed worry of her return to the incubator. However she still mentioned that 30% humanity is still somewhere in her purpose system and is grateful when Tedashii volunteers to buy her something. She still was grateful pick out her meal. And when Tedashii felt upset that he felt he wasted his money she informed him that she is 30% percent human. When Tedashii offer to buy her clothes she was bother when he wasn't paying attention, wanting to pick the outfit that reach he's expectations. She was impressed by his skills in the game corner and praise him for his skills.

Eventually she unconsciously developed a attraction towards him comforting him when he was heart broken with the truth, tried to engage in combat to save him from Akuma, even notify him of his changes of survival against Akuma's attack if he Sacrifice her. It seem during all this Tedashii felt the same way. Begging Akuma to spare her and anger when Akuma harm her.

When Tedashii came to her rescue, a worn out Akahana was surprised to and argue her safety didn't matter. After he saved and promised he will save her even if she was 1% human, Akahana begins to develop feelings for Tedashii. After vol 1 with the modified and learn Akahana She spent every minute with Tedashii when not busy or at school.

Tedashii and Akahana seem to have the most understanding with each other outta of Tedashii's interactions, they tend to talk about nerdy concepts even if it's as simple as during a swing at the part. Just like Akira Takahasi, Akahana is one of the only character to have nerdy scientific conversations with one of another.

She gets jealous at his new popularity over other girls, and comedy abuse him when he ruined romantic moments between them or say rash disregards. Akahana's abuse could easily be compared to Index's bites to Touma. Akahana has high expectational view on Tedashii, when anger admits lack of confidence in himself in the daihaseisai festival, and shown to have her mind rap on him most of the time. If she feels Tedashii is being taken away from someone she tends to be rude to everyone, as Tedashii tells Akira Takahasi "she sometimes hate people at times."

Chronology

Background

It was revealed that Akahana was truly human all along. A few years prior before the start of the series, Akahana Yoko took part in the Power Curriculum Program, becoming an Esper. After gaining her unique ability Data Mine, Academy City hire ups and board of directors watch over her growth despite not being able to improve resulting being a (level 1). Due to this failure they proceeded to use the Tree Diagram forcing her to take special classes and dark experiments. The dark experiments done to her caught suspension from her family. Her family responded with an escape plan out Academy City, with their daughter. But Academy City made plans and executed Akahana's family through an fatal car accident killing both parents, Akahana suffer brain damage resulting in her being brain dead. With cyborg enchantment she was restored to some extent, and placed inside a incubator to gain access to all the Tree Diagram's data as a cloud backup human a (Walking Satellite).

(A Certain Scientific Code Vader)
Tree Diagram Remnant Arc
Akahana first appearance Tedashii discovers her inside the incubator. Realizing she was connected to the tree diagram that is now destroyed, Tedashii takes her back to his home.

When morning came Tedashii is left puzzled of what to do with a nude Akahana, and wonder over the potential misunderstanding. However to his surprise Akahana carelessly came out his bedroom nude.

She appears to show lack of care giving Tedashii an opportunity to identify her connections towards the tree diagram. But after he failed to identify the code she locked him out of any info, except for her name. Tedashii gives her some clothes and head to a restaurant to eat after retrieving a mysterious signal from his tracker, he decides to to choose a restaurant to identify if she was human or not.

After ordering the Maximum bugler and taking a bite Tedashii relaxed of relief that now he can believe she is human. But she admits she is a droid but at least thirty percent human.

She later questions Tedashii's choice of meal and his drink (coffee) and explain he shouldn't be drinking that at his age. He then tells her it's a side effect of an experiment, and why to increase his level and states Academy City must pay. She telekinetically loaded his personal information curious if he's a terrorist or not. And identities he's a level 0. Tedashii tries to quiet tell her to not throw out he's a level 0 in public to Akahana replies asking is he afraid. He declines her claim to where she advance stating it's why he brought the vector malice with him to an normal food restaurant. To him angrily accidentally admitting his caution as a level 0 child error. Which anger him to the point of wanting to kill her.

He later takes Akahana to a clothing shop, and they talks about the Endymion. He expressed his concerns. While she changes clothes behind the booth. She comes out the booth wondering if it look decent to her dissatisfaction to Tedashii's uninteresting response. And changes once more surprising Tedashii showing him of leaving an angry sign. While changing within the booth she overheard the commotion between him and Li Mei about his hate for Espers, and hope that he doesn't find out she was an Esper as well. Almost getting kicked out the shopping center Tedashii rush her only to be surprisingly impressed with her new results, even finding her attractive.

They later leaves and approach a game corner being distracted from the alien prop toy. (Believing the alien prop is an real actual alien) Praising the man for discovering there existence and claim she needs it to study it. Tedashii plays and win the game getting her the prop on first try. The game counter man and her praise Tedashii's performance. And he replies not to be impressed as those developed skills are someone else. But Akahana declines and says his skills are astonishing. Tedashii smile as he realized she didn't pause before giving her complement. A little flattered decide to buy her a little more than just one outfit. She questioned his motives trying to process his actions for buying and prolonging the time spent buying clothes by using the tree diagram. Tedashii explains making an excuse that when they met she had no clothes, to her embarrassingly putting him on blast. She informs him there's no need for clothes once she returns back to the incubator. He becomes flustered of her willingness to return to such a prison stating it's not safe and warn her of Academy City, Expression what they would do from personal experience. To where she replies that she is a droid and fine with the results.

Tedashii freaks out feeling related to her current situation, and Akahana expose his feelings breaking him. The power turns off, scarring Tedashii. They are force to relied on an Teleporting Esper to rescue them from being trapped. She embraces him and tells him everything will be okay in the end to her comedic ruin the moment being too realistic. Suddenly the power turn on revealing to be a trap cause by Kihara Akuma and Musujime Awaki. To her surprise to hear about Tedashii's expose pass about his volunteering acts among the illegal Dark May Project.

Akahana tries to engage in battle mode only for Tedashii to interrupt pushing her away before Akuma got close and struck.

Kihara mocks and defeat Tedashii with ease and Akahana recovers trying to land a sneak attack. Her attacks fail to Akuma's smooth agility. Once she was pin down by Akuma's retaliation, Tedashii pleads to leave Akahana out of this fight. Kihara laughs taught and mocks Tedashii for caring for a droid and tells him that she is the esper known as data mine. Akahana lowers her head in shame watching helplessly. Tedashii however use the security bots to escape and took Akahana with him. She apologized to him for keeping her Esper ability secretly to stay on good terms to where he giggles that she was concerned weather they could stay friends after he knew she had an Esper ability or not at a time like this. He decides to find an out for her and promise her that the dark side would not force him to let go of her only for Musujime Awaki to appear before them teleporting Akahana away from him. Kihara Akuma taking hold of the unconscious Akahana catch up and as Musujime pity Tedashii she ask Akuma to spare him in fury rage Tedashii tries to attack Musujime only for her to teleport him above a set stair making him trip and fall defeated.

In Chapter 6 towards the climax, she is later seen again inside a incubator after Akuma let Tedashii get close after he made his way to the tower Akuma hid in. She woken to see a tear eye Tedashii completely puzzled of the feelings asking why he was here that she was just a droid. Tedashii then comments and states she has opinions, she eat, she gets mad and tells her to start having value over herself as he admits if something happens to her he will mentally break. Akahana move from his passion developing feelings for Tedashii, completely puzzled of her feelings she tries to process using the tree diagram only to faint for using up her stamina. Tedashii uses her Esper ability that was connected to her fight to telekinetically highjack the nano digital code-breaker defeating and killing Akuma. After the fight an error within her cyborg head equipment. Helplessly Dying in front of Tedashii he quickly hack and modified the cyborg equipment with her own Esper ability and cellphone rebooting her head functions within the equipment, Tedashii claims it was destiny and though she might forget him and that would saddened him he proceeded with no hesitation. Some of Akahana memories were erased after the process was complete.
