It was the first match of the series.  INDIA  versus SRI LANKA, but there was an unexpected twist.

In the VIP section, seated like hawks, was the Pakistan cricket team. Heads turned and murmurs filled the stands as people noticed them. What were they doing here, at an India-Sri Lanka match? Speculations ran wild. Were they here to analyze player techniques? Scout the opposition?

But the reality was that—they were here for the drama.

Captain Babar Azam leaned back in his seat and exchanged a glance with Shaheen Afridi beside him. "Bhai, sun rahe ho na? Keh rahe the ki Team India aaj ground pe nahi utar paayegi. Sab drama hone wala hai."

Shaheen chuckled, shaking his head. "Sahi pakde hain bhaijaan."

They were so sure of themselves that they were already picturing the chaos that would follow when Team India failed to appear. They had a front-row seat to India's embarrassment.

But they were in for a shock.

Suddenly, the giant screen above the stadium flashed a bold announcement: "Team India Enters the Ground."

The camera cut to the tunnel, and out stepped Mahendra Singh Dhoni, leading the Indian team onto the field. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli walked side by side and Rishab couldn't resist giving a little wave towards the VIP section, where Pakistan's players sat.

The smirks from the Pakistani camp vanished. Confused glances were exchanged, and murmurs broke out among them.

Babar Azam's jaw dropped. "Yeh... yeh kaise ho sakta hai?" he stammered, turning to his coach, who looked equally bewildered. "Humne suna tha ki inka access reject ho gaya hai. IDs toh approve hi nahi huye the kal raat tak." Babar asked.

The coach frowned. "Haan, humare sources ne bhi yahi bola tha. Toh phir yeh kaise aaye? Aur full squad ke saath?"

"Kuch toh hua hai kal raat ko. They must have found a way to fix the problem. But this... this was not part of the plan."

"Toh ab kya, bhai? Yeh log toh full form mein lag rahe hain."

"Ab kuch nahi ho sakta bhai!"

The umpire flipped the coin, and as it landed, Dhoni called heads. The coin showed heads, and he grinned, choosing to bat first. They were ready to give Sri Lanka—and a very surprised Pakistan—a match to remember.

Team India lined up for the national anthem and Rohit glanced over his shoulder, catching sight of their audience in the VIP section. He nudged Virat with a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Lagta hai Pakistan wale apna popcorn leke aaye hain, Virat. Socha hoga ki hum log nahi aayenge."

"Haan lekin inke toh popat ude hue lag rahe hai." They laughed together.

The crowd roared, filling the air with chants of "India! India!" When the anthem ended, Rohit and Virat exchanged a quick fist bump.

With that, Team India took their positions, ready to play.

Vritika watched as Rohit entered the ground. He was opening today. He was looking confident. But she was so nervous..she felt like her insides were doing somersaults. Butterflies—no, more like a full-on swarm—were fluttering uncontrollably in her stomach. She bit her lip, watching him adjust his helmet and take his place at the crease. He was always so composed, so in control, but today..... Today, she was on edge.

"Mam, water?" A voice broke her out of her thoughts.

Vritika glanced up at the attendant, her hand shaking slightly as she took the glass. "Yes, please." She drank it down quickly, then looked at the glass in her hand, realizing this was her third one already.

Three glasses of water? And the match hadn't even started yet. She let out a soft, frustrated sigh, feeling the nerves tighten in her chest. Why was she so nervous? Because it was so important for him...She wanted him to shine, to show the world why he was one of the best.

"Please, God," she muttered under her breath."Let him be alright today. Let him play well. Please."

The first ball of the innings. The bowler started to run and Vrtika held her breath as her heart thudded wildly.

Rohit's bat barely made contact. The ball glanced off the edge, flying high and toward the slip fielders. The ball was headed straight for the fielder's hands, and Vritika's heart skipped a beat. Her eyes snapped shut instinctively. She crossed her fingers tightly, squeezing them together. Please, please, please...The fielder leapt, his hands reaching up—no, no, no—and then there was a loud thud as the ball landed in the grass just inches away from the fielder's fingertips. She exhaled sharply and opened her eyes slowly. She saw Rohit standing there, eyes on the ground for a brief moment as the umpire signaled no catch.

He was safe.

Vritika took a deep breath to calm her heart.

Every time Rohit stepped forward to face the next delivery, her palms grew clammy. She couldn't bring herself to watch every ball. Instead, she found herself closing her eyes every time Rohit swung his bat for a big shot, "Please, don't let it be a catch."

Soon the wickets on the other end started falling.

"India ki innings ab sirf Rohit Sharma ke kandho par hai," one commentator declared. "Ek chhoti si galti aur match poora badal sakta hai."

"Pressure kaafi zyada hai Rohit par. But look at him, he's handling it with calm, like he always does. This is why he's called the 'Hitman' of Indian cricket."

Vritika's anxiety spiked with each ball. Her palms were sweating. The crowd's collective gasps and cheers felt like a rollercoaster she couldn't get off. Rohit reached his 30s, then 40s. But it wasn't until he stood at 49 runs that the real tension set in.

And then it happened. With a swift cut through the offside, the ball raced to the boundary, and the giant screen flashed:

Rohit Sharma - 50 (32 balls)

Vritika finally exhaled, clapping hard as the crowd erupted in cheers. Rohit acknowledged the applause, raising his bat to the stands.

But there was no time to relax. India had lost four wickets by now with Virat gone at 46 runs, and the commentators were in full form, debating the situation.

"India ka middle order collapse hone ke baad," one commentator remarked, "sirf Rohit Sharma hi hai jo innings ko sambhal sakta hai. Agar India ko ek respectable total banana hai, toh unhe yahan se aur 50-60 runs karne padenge. Maybe Dhono should have come earlier."

The pressure was relentless. Sri Lanka's bowlers tried every trick in the book, sending in short balls, slower ones, and even yorkers aimed straight at his toes.

Vritika's heart clenched every time he faced a bouncer. She would just snap her eyes shut!

When Rohit was on 90,  Vritika could hardly sit still. Her heart pounded so hard she thought everyone around her might hear it.She clutched her seat till her knuckles turned white.

The next ball was a full toss. Rohit didn't miss a beat. He swung his bat, and the ball flew high. This time, she didn't close her eyes. She watched it fly, her heart in her throat, until it sailed over the boundary ropes for a six

The stadium exploded in cheers, the screen flashing:

Rohit Sharma - 100 (57 balls)

"Hundred for Rohit Sharma!" the commentator's voice boomed. "What a way to bring up his century! This has been an absolute masterclass from the Hitman."

Vritika let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding. Her face lit up in a wide, uncontrollable smile, and she jumped to her feet, clapping so hard her palms turned red.He had done it.

Rohit stood there at the crease, helmet in one hand and bat raised high in the other. The entire stadium was on its feet, roaring his name. He tilted his head up to the sky briefly, closing his eyes in gratitude before opening them and scanning the crowd.

And then, he spotted her.

Vritika stood there in the VIP box, her hands pressed against her mouth. He gave her that familiar, boyish smile—the one that always made her knees go weak—He raised his bat towards her, pointing it directly at the love of his life. Without a moment's hesitation, he blew her a kiss.

The crowd gasped and went wild, and the stadium's giant screen instantly caught the gesture. The cameras panned over to Vritika, and the commentators couldn't help but notice.

"Oh ho, yeh dekhiye" one of them exclaimed . "A special century celebration from Rohit Sharma, dedicated to someone very dear to him. Just look at that—absolutely heartwarming."

"Seems like the Hitman has a soft spot off the field too," another commentator teased. "That's a very lucky lady he's pointing to in the stands. What a moment—this is what we call 'love' in action!!"

"Did you see that?" Vritika heard someone behind her whisper in awe. "He blew her a kiss! That's some next-level romantic stuff."

Vritika tried to suppress her smile, but it was impossible. She felt the heat rising to her cheeks. The spectators around her started clapping and cheering for her too, as if she were a part of the celebration.

The commentators continued their banter, but Vritika didn't need to hear it to know what they were saying. It was all over social media now. #RohitSharma'sLadyLove. The moment had gone viral.

It was a moment she would never forget. Perhaps she could forgive him for all the stress he unknowingly gave her today...

After that Rohit and Dhoni continued their partnership.

"Dhoni and Rohit are taking this game to a whole new level!" the commentator exclaimed. "It's an absolute treat for cricket fans. Look at the way they're dominating the field!" The Sri Lankan bowlers looked rattled, as they struggled to find a way to break this partnership.

Rohit played a flawless innings, reaching 150 with a glorious cover drive. But he didn't stop there. He pushed himself even harder, wanting to give the team the best possible start to the series. He was hitting shots all around the ground. Finally, on the third ball of the 48th over, Rohit went for one last big shot but ended up slicing it high into the air.

The ball landed safely in the fielder's hands, and Rohit's innings was over at a staggering 167 runs. He took a deep breath as the crowd gave him a standing ovation. He raised his bat one last time before making his way back to the pavilion.

As he walked off the field, his teammates rushed to greet him. Virat was the first, giving him a firm pat on the back. "Well done, Hitman," he said with a grin. "You've set us up perfectly."

"Thanks, Kohli," Rohit said as he high-fived his teammates one by one. He could hear the crowd chanting his name, but there was only one face he wanted to see.

He scanned the stands and spotted Vritika. Without a moment's hesitation, he jogged over to her, ignoring the security's puzzled looks.

Vritika was at the railing as she watched him approach. Before she could say a word, Rohit pulled her into a tight hug, wrapping his arms around her as if he never wanted to let go. The crowd around them cheered even louder as the camera captured that but in that moment, it felt like they were the only two people in the entire stadium.

He kissed her forehead, his lips lingering there for a second to soak in the moment. "I did it," he whispered.

Vritika smiled up at him with her misty eyes "I am so proud of you, Ro," she said softly. "You were incredible out there."

Rohit pulled back slightly, looking at her with a boyish grin. "Did you enjoy it?"

Vritika blinked."Enjoy it? How could I? It was so stressful!"

"Stressful?" Rohit raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, stressful!" Vritika exclaimed "I thought I was going to have a heart attack every time you faced a bouncer or swung for a big shot. My hands were shaking the entire time!"

"I didn't know you were such a nervous wreck!" He teased in affection. "But I guess that's what happens when you care about someone so much."

Before Vritika could respond, her mother jumped in. "Pata hai kitni baar isne apni aankhein band ki thi aur kitni baar paani mangwaya?"

Vritika's face turned crimson, and she immediately shot a look at her mother. "Maa!" she whispered urgently

Rohit laughed. "Oh really? Paani ka stock khatam kar diya kya?"

Vritika gave him a glare. " Aisa lag raha tha main exam de rahi hoon aur sab kuch tumhare haathon mein hai!"

Rohit leaned closer till his nose almost touched hers. "Toh exam pass ho gaya na?" he asked cheekily.

Vritika rolled her eyes but couldn't help the grin spreading across her face. "Top marks, Sharma ji. Top marks."

"So I deserve a reward, don't you think?" Rohit smirked.

"For what exactly? For giving me a heart attack every other ball?"

"It's not my fault you are a scardy cat! Now about the reward...."

"Udo mat Mr Sharma, match pura hua nahi hai abhi."

He chuckled. "Fine then give it to me when we win the match today." He said before he went away with his teammates to win the match.

And win they did. With Rohit being the man of the match.

Soon Vritika was sitting at the end of a long table in the hotel banquet hall, watching the celebrations unfold. The team was in high spirits as they relived moments from the match. Rohit was surrounded by his teammates, grinning ear to ear as they teased him about his performance.

As she took a sip of her drink, her phone buzzed on the table. It was from the WhatsApp group of her college friends—The Gossip Squad. The group chat was normally filled with random memes, updates on assignments, and the latest university gossip, but tonight it was different. A flurry of messages had poured in, and she realized they were all about her.

She opened the group chat, only to see a message from Shruti, her closest college friend.

Shruti: Vritikaaaaa!! Is this you? Damn girl, you didn't tell us you had Rohit Sharma as your boyfriend! 😱🤯

Vritika's eyes widened as she saw a link attached to the message. She clicked on it, and a flood of images and tweets from earlier that day filled her screen—Rohit blowing her the kiss.

TanyaHELLO?? You also didn't tell us that your brother is THE Virat Kohli! Are you serious right now? We've been studying with a celebrity this whole time! 🤯👀

MeghaWait, wait, wait! Back up! Why are we just finding out about this now?!! Girl, you owe us a full storytime ASAP!!

Vritika let out a groan.

ShrutiWe need details. Like all of them. How did this even happen? I mean, are you guys a couple now?? This is insane!! How did he propose?!

Vritika: Ok, first of all, hi. Yes, it's me. And yes, Rohit and I have been dating for a while now. But it's not like I kept it a secret on purpose. Things just... sort of got out today. 😅

TanyaNot on purpose?! Vritika, this is literally the biggest bombshell of the century! How do you even casually drop "Oh, by the way, I'm dating Rohit Sharma and my brother is Virat Kohli"?! 😂

Shruti: No wonder you were always so vague about your personal life. You're out there living a whole Bollywood movie romance and didn't even tell us! 😭❤️

Vritika bit her lip, her cheeks turning a deep shade of pink

MeghaI KNEW there was something familiar about you when we first met! I remember seeing you at a match once, and I thought you looked like that girl with Virat! Can't believe I was right!!

ShrutiSo when's the wedding? I'm booking my lehenga. 🤩💃Wait wait wait.....will MS Dhoni be also there?! Shit...I will need an expensive lengenga! It will be gorgeous. Everyone will be looking at me!

Vritika: There is no wedding, honestly you guys.  Look, I promise I'll tell you everything when I get back. It's been kind of a whirlwind day, as you can imagine. 😅

Shruti: Whirlwind? Girl, you're trending on Twitter! You're practically breaking the internet! And honestly? We're living for this drama. 😍

Tanya: Yeah girl,You're literally trending. Someone even made a fan page for you two!!

Vritika clicked on the link Tanya sent. Sure enough, hashtags like  #CricketLoveStory and #RohitSharma'sLadyLove was trending everywhere. She couldn't help but laugh at the attention, but there was a certain nervousness creeping in as she read through some of the comments.

@CricketLover99: Rohit Sharma just hit a century, and then blew a kiss to the girl in the VIP box! 😍❤️ I'm not crying, you are!! #RohitSharma #LoveInTheAir #Hitman

@CricketFanatic77: Did anyone else see that? And what a kiss—pure love! "Who is she? 🧐 #RohitSharma #LadyLove #CricketMagic

@ChasingCenturies: "Rohit's kiss to that mystery girl just made my day! #CricketRomance. Someone find out who she is! 🤩"

Then, someone posted a screenshot of her Instagram profile, where she had once posted a picture from a family gathering with her brother Virat Kohli.

@CricketFanatic21: Wait, isn't this @Vritika_Kohli? 🤯 Is this the same Kohli family? That's Virat Kohli's sister! 😱 #VritikaKohli #KohliFamily #WhoIsShe

Her eyes widened as she read the tweet. Her Insta handle was indeed public, though she had never expected her private life to be this exposed.

@SocialSleuth: "Found her! That's Vritika Kohli from her Insta profile! Go check it out! #BreakingNews #RohitSharma'sLadyLove"

Within seconds, replies followed:

@RealKohliFan: Omg, Vritika Kohli is Rohit Sharma's lady love?! This is huge! 💯💥 #CricketRoyalty #RohiratConnection

@CricketGossipGuru: "THIS is the content we needed!!"

@LoveForTheHitman: "HOLY CRAP! So Rohit has a thing for Virat's sister? #TeamRohitAllTheWay"

@RohitLover88: "Okay, but did anyone else catch that kiss? I'm not even mad. ROHIT & VIRAT's SISTER?? Relationship goals!!!"

@SportsGuru: "BREAKING: Vritika Kohli, Virat Kohli's sister, is the girl everyone's talking about! Rohit Sharma just gave her the most public display of affection at the stadium. Talk about a power couple! #VritikaKohli #RohitSharma #LoveInTheStands"

@Jasminx_k: "I've always wondered if Virat Kohli's family was as amazing as he is. Looks like we've got our answer! Vritika Kohli is giving us some major sister goals."

@ViratFangirl: "Imagine being in a relationship where your boyfriend and your brother are two of the biggest cricket stars! 😍🥵 Vritika is living the dream!"

Vritika's head was spinning. It felt as if the whole world had suddenly focused on her. As her phone kept buzzing with notifications she went to switch it off but something else caught her eye.

@rohitsharma45: "Couldn't have done it without you. Let's make more memories like this. 😘😘 @VritikaKohli 💙"

It was his tweet, confirming everything everyone had been speculating.

And just like that, the internet went wild.

@VritikaKohli: "Always by your side 💙💫 @rohitsharma45"

@msdhoni: "Couldn't agree more, Rohit. We play for each other on the field, and off the field, we support each other's happiness. Don't let go of this girl, Sharma! 🏏💙 #TeamRohika"

@rohitsharma45:"Thank you, Mahi bhai! Your words mean more than you know. 💙🙏"

@imVkohli: "Finally, Rohit! Took you long enough to make it official

@klrahul: "Ah, the secret's out! You two make a great team on and off the field. Congratulations, Sharma ji and future Sharma ji! 🥂💫fficial. 😏 Wishing you both all the happiness. Keep her smiling, Hitman! 💙 #AboutTime

@hardikpandya7: "Bhai, we all knew this was coming! Kya entry maari hai, Vritika bhabhi! 🔥😂

@CricketFever: "Did Rohit just make it official? 💘 #Rohika"

@SharmaFanClub: "I'm shook. This is next-level. The two biggest names in cricket and this is happening?! 😱 #LoveStory #KohliFamily"

She scrolled further, seeing pictures and videos from the match. Fans had clipped the moment when Rohit glanced up at her in the stands, smiling and blowing a kiss. The caption read: "When your man makes a century and makes you feel like a queen. #RohitSharma #CoupleGoals".

@CricketLover21: "I am absolutely LOVING this! The Kohli-Sharma connection is real. Let's get this love story on the field! #Rohika #CricketRomance"

@BollywoodStar: "Omg! Just saw the viral moment with Rohit Sharma and Vritika Kohli. THAT kiss!! 😘 #CricketLoveStory"

@RohitForeverFan: "I guess the Hitman has a weakness after all. Someone's clearly using his fame to get attention. 😒"

@CricketHater01: "Rohit deserves better than this. Why date someone who's always in the shadow of her famous brother? Can't be serious."

Her blood boiled reading those comments. She was about to type a scathing reply when a supportive message caught her eye.

@RohitLover88: "You're all just jealous. Let them be happy! You wish you could get the kind of love that Rohit's showing."

@CricketQueen77: "I bet this is just for the attention. These cricketers always do this for the cameras."

@TrueRohitFan: "Seriously? Can't you just be happy for them? If you've been a fan of Rohit for this long, you'd know he's not a guy to date anyone for fame. Get over yourselves."

@LoveForTheHitman: "You're all just mad because you'll never know what it feels like to be loved the way Rohit loves Vritika. Keep hating, it's cute."

Vritika rolled her eyes, her fingers hovering over the screen. Some people really had so much time on their hands, writing nasty things just for the sake of stirring drama. Her thumb hovered over the screen as she thought about what to say. Finally, she typed a response.

@VritikaKohli: "People will always have opinions, but at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is love and happiness. 💙 Thank you to everyone who's sending positivity our way! Much love back to you all. #SpreadLoveNotHate"

Just as she put her phone down, a text notification came in. It was from Virat.

Virat: "Hey, saw what's happening online. You good, bro?"

Vritika: "I'm okay, Veer. Just overwhelmed with all the attention. Some people have nothing better to do than spread negativity."

Virat: "Ignore them. You're strong, and you don't owe anyone an explanation. But honestly, you two were going to get caught sooner or later. I mean, the way he looks at you when he thinks no one's watching? Kind of a dead giveaway.

Vritika: "Guess we weren't as sneaky as we thought, huh?"

Virat: "Not even close. But listen, don't worry about the trolls. The real fans will be happy for you. And as for the rest? Let them talk. Just be sure you and Rohit are on the same page about handling this."

Vritika: "We are. He's been nothing but supportive."

Virat: "Good. He better be, or he'll have to deal with me. 😈

Rohit Sharma (DM): "Boyfriend baju mein hai, aur madam ka dhyan poora mobile mein. Aaj kuch zyada hi busy ho gayi ho kya? 😜"

Vritika Kohli (DM): "Haan, busy ho gayi hoon. Aap ke post ne toh internet ko hilake rakh diya! 🙄"💙"

Rohit Sharma (DM):Internet hil gaya toh kya hua? Dil bhi toh hil gaya tha na jab maine woh kiss diya? 😉"

Vritika Kohli (DM): "Drama king! But admit it, Mr. Sharma, you love all this attention."

Rohit Sharma (DM): "Only if it means I get to see that blush on your face. ❤️ Now stop replying to trolls and look at me."

She locked her phone, set it aside, and turned to the man beside her. As soon as they locked eyes, Rohit grasped her hand and pulled her over his lap.

"Now about that reward......" Rohit's voice was low and teasing.

"After all this drama?" Vritika raised an eyebrow.

"You promised!" Rohit pouted.

"Fine. What do you want?"

"A kiss of course!"

Vritika grabbed his chin and kissed his cheek. "There. Happy?"

Rohit deadpanned. "Yeh kaisi kiss hai?"

"What do you mean, 'kaisi kiss'?" she asked "That was a perfectly good kiss!"

Rohit shook his head, still looking at her with disappointment. "Nahi, yeh toh ek formality type kiss thi. I was expecting something a little more... romantic."

"Romantic, huh?" she murmured, sliding her hand from his chin to the back of his neck. She could feel the warmth of his skin under her fingers, the way his breath hitched slightly at her touch.

"Y-yeah," Rohit stammered, caught off guard by the sudden shift in her demeanor. He wasn't expecting her to actually take him seriously.

With a teasing smile, Vritika leaned in and brushed her lips against his ear . "Well then, Mr. Sharma, let me show you what a proper kiss feels like."

Before Rohit could react, she trailed her lips down the side of his jaw, slow and deliberate. He sucked in a sharp breath, his grip on her waist tightening as she moved closer. She could feel the rapid rise and fall of his chest beneath her as she pressed a kiss just below his ear.She knew that it drove him wild.

And then, without warning, she bit down gently, sucking on the sensitive skin. Rohit's head fell back slightly, giving her more access, as he became completely lost in the sensation.

She pulled back slowly, her lips curling into a satisfied smile as she admired the faint red mark forming on his neck—A satisfied smile played on her lips as she observed his reaction. His eyes were closed, his breathing shallow, and he looked thoroughly lost .

"Happy now?" she asked sweetly.

Rohit opened his eyes slowly, completely d azed. "Um...Hmm... Your technique is lacking," he said, his voice husky.

Vritika raised an eyebrow "Oh?

Rohit nodded seriously  "Yeah, definitely. I think you need a bit more practice. Might take a while to perfect it."

Vritika looked around the room as if searching for something. "Oh no, in that case, I'll have to look for a teacher then..." She scanned the area dramatically "How about that guy over there? He looks like he might know a thing or two."

Rohit's head whipped around, following her gaze, and when he realized she was joking, he narrowed his eyes.

"Really now?" he murmured. His voice was low and dangerous. "You think anyone else can teach you better than me?" He pulled her closer till there was hardly any space between them.

Vritika looked at him innocently. "I don't know, Mr. Sharma. I might have to test out a few options just to be sure."

Rohit's jaw clenched. "Is that so? Well, I hate to break it to you, but there's only one teacher you'll be getting lessons from."

With that, he cupped her face with one hand. "And I promise, it'll be a lesson you won't forget."

Rohit's lips hovered just inches from Vritika's, his breath warm against her skin. He could feel the tension between them, the electricity crackling in the air.

"Arey, Mahi bhai aap," Vritika exclaimed in horror.

Rohit's head whipped to the side, eyes scanning the room, but there was no one there.

He turned back to her, but she was already dashing away from him, her laughter echoing through the room.

"Ritz!" he called after her.

"I am going to pee," she called over her shoulder.

"What?!" he called out, half-laughing, half-baffled. "That's your excuse?!"

Her laughter echoed through the room.

"You're lucky Mahi bhai's not here," he muttered to himself, shaking his head. "Because I swear, next time...
