Kevin has arrived at the Blacksite where the Traitors of the Human Race are held until their deaths. The Sentinel Guards saluted when Kevin arrived, despite the injuries...

The Old Guards attacked. He was not surprised, but it seems Bell and his Task Forces have done well. Which is good news, when it comes to this Shadow Wars.

"Open the Gates," Kevin ordered. "1st Expedition is in Danger, along with the 2nd SFRIs."

This led to the Sentinel Guard on the ground looking up at the ones controlling the Gates and yelling, "Gates!"

With that, the Advanced Vault opened and Kevin entered, with the 1st Legions saluting to Kevin with the Sign of Aquila. And in unison.

"Lord Commander!"

"At ease." Kevin responded and they returned to their service. The 1st Legion's 1st Chapter immediately becomes his Bodyguards for the time being. As they know of his mission.

The Alcatraz Prison has been remade to accommodate High Ranking Members of the Hollowed Veil and Initiative Members. Hence the Heavy Security and the 1st Legion's presence in Guarding the place.

First, there's...

"Ah... Lord Commander... I can sense it... You're here for a reason."

High Lady or Cardinal Pauline Lorainne. She was now forced to be the Archivist of the Prison. The Good News for her, she was Non-Violent and Highly Cooperative. Hence she was allowed to be around the place, but not out of the Prison's Blacksite.

"You seek Saintess Takara, no? I can tell it is to save the men and women of the 1st Expedition."

"As expected from the Archivist." Kevin with a neutral tone. For some reason, she's almost like Aponia, except with Psyonic Mind Reading.

"Regardless, I shall obey your orders, Lord Commander."

She got up and guided him to where Takara was being held.

As he's passing by...

"Don't worry about Hanako, she's not held here... She was found innocent, due to her being unaware of her actions. She's now a Shrine Maiden back in Japan, though I pray to God for her Mental State after realizing the truth..."

Kevin could only let out a sad sigh... "Poor girl..."

Lorainne just nodded as she continued guiding him to Takara's Holding Cell. While...

"When I get out of here, you fucking Government Fucktoy! I'll rip your guts out and hand you with them!!!" That was Darcy Magyar. A Former Dyson Initiative's PMC Officer, went mad, after being stuck in the White Room for too long while listening to the Holy Bible, every day.

"... I almost pity that Corporate Fool... Almost." Lorainne showed her subtle disdain towards a Monster like Darcy.

Then there's Joel Harlow, who's now the Accountant of the Prison. Unlike Lorinne, he was allowed to leave, after proof of Whistleblowing. He noticed Kevin and saluted.

"Greetings, Commander! I hope your trip wasn't interrupted by the Old Guard's Raids."

"No, It's alright. We got delayed, so we got sort of lucky." Kevin responded.

"Excellent! Is there anything I can help you, Lorainne?" Harlow asked.

"No. No... It's fine. I'm just guiding the Lord Commander and the 1st Chapter to Takara... I hope our Kids are alright in your home." Lorainne replied.

"Of course, they are... They just missed their mothers... But still, be careful now!"

And they continued their way to Takara's Cell. 

Katsuro just stared at Kevin, with a usual cold stare. While Jia Ming immediately rushed to the door and...

"My Soon to be Emperor!!! Please take me instead of that Japanese Harlot!!!"

"... I honestly don't understand what's with her. But good thing that she's not Chief Scientist's Sister. Rather her Adopted Sister." Lorainne monologues while continuing.

Jia Ming was then shocked by a Sentinel Riot Guard's Electroshock Rifle. And incapacitated, immediately.

With that, they've now arrived, with Reinhardt and Zheng also onsite.

"Guten Abend, Herr Kommandant. [Good evening, Commander.]" Reinhardt with a salute.

"Kevin, you're here." Zheng with a more casual tone.

"So, it's time?"

Everyone nodded. With that, the 1st Chapter took position and got ready if Takara decided that she'd get him. Again.

So, Kevin got in. And there's Takara. Meditating...

Kevin got close and...

"Takara?"

She opened her eyes lightly, thinking it was one of the Guards... When it's Kevin... Her initial Hostile expression was replaced with a saddened one...

"... Yes, Kevin...?"

"How is Zheng's Serum doing to you?" Kevin based.

"... It worked alright..." Takara replied. "But... It won't last long... Kevin..."

"Takara... There's a chance for you to redeem yourself..."

"With what!?" Takara then lashed out, but out of pain. "I'm a Monster, Kevin!!! Why?! Why didn't you save me from being taken here?!"

"Did you even remember what happened?" Kevin held his line. "The moment you stabbed yourself with a cursed blade?"

"I understand..." Takara says softly, her voice filled with concern. "I just can't bear the thought of Jia Ming, that Chinese Imperial, turning you into a Thrall with that stab... It frightens me too much... Because..."

"... You still have feelings for me, Takara. Despite the struggles you've faced with your obsessive thoughts and emotions, I believe that... deep down, you desire a positive outcome for both of us." Kevin has come to understand her motivations behind creating the Harbingers of Murakami.

"Zheng-Chan too..." Takara said softly. "She's like the sister I've always longed for..."

Kevin could only sigh... As he nows connected the Puzzle.

She believed that she and he could become together if they surrendered to the Honkais, and she accepted, without asking. As she was in her obsessive moments. Had she been still mentally stable, she would immediately rejected it.

He does love her too... But now Kasumi has replaced Takara as his 3rd Wife...

While he doesn't understand why Jacqueline decided to make this one an expectation... But he'll probably have to talk to her later...

"Kevin... Do you... Still love me...?"

"... I honestly don't know..." Kevin replied...

"Just please... Tell me... It's just yes or no..." Takara sounded desperate...

Kevin could only sigh... And decided...

"Takara... Even though, circumstances have changed to the point that you can't be together with me..."

"I still love you."

"... T-Takara-?"

She then immediately pounced on him and kissed him on the lips, tears now flooding her eyes. To Kevin...

'Kevin! You did it! Takara's now fully cured!' Zheng speaks to him in his earpiece, and the sounds of everyone else, cheering. They have seen his skills in the Command and Bravery in Operation Leviathan...

And now, they've seen his Mercy to the Enemy, just as he did, with Lorainne, and many others, who've fallen to the false beliefs of the Invaders.

But for Takara? This was her Salvation. Just hearing that, was enough to make her what's left of her Yandere Side fade away.

"Arigatō!!! Watashi mo... watashi mo... hontōni anata o aishiteimasu!!! [THANK YOU!!! I... I... I REALLY LOVE YOU TOO!!!]"

Kevin could only sigh and hug Takara, to comfort her cries. She finally has someone to cry on his shoulder, and directly from Kevin is more than enough.

Later...

After they both left, Lorainne took Takara out of Incarcerated Status and gave her a Penitence Tag. Lorainne and Joel Harlow both have this tag, but there are differences. Lorainne's tag will be removed after a year of loyal service. Harlow has already completed his Penitence, so he now carries a golden tag, which means he belongs to the 'Faithful and Redeemed'.

While very rare, Harlow is now seen with respect by the rest of the Legionnaires for continuing his service to them. Even after his Penitence is complete.

"Sister of Archives. You may return to your post." The 1st Chapter's Chaplin told Lorainne. She bows before the Chaplin.

"May fates meet us again, Lord Commander," Lorainne told Kevin, before leaving back to her Archive Post. "Safe Travels."

As Harlow went back to his desk to continue his work... "Accountant Harlow. Chapter Master has allowed you to rest for two weeks. You've done your duties well and honorably." The Chaplin stopped him.

"Ah. Sorry, Commander. I have to leave now. Be safe!" Harlow then takes his leave.

The Chaplin then turned to Kevin and saluted with the Sign of Aquila. "Lord Commander." And then stand down. And noticed Takara, with her unique Penitance Tag. "It appears you and your wife's efforts have succeeded."

"Certainly." Kevin agreed.

The Chaplin nodded. Then told Takara, "Do not waste this chance of Redemption. The Lord Commander granted you that. But if you were to betray our trust... We will hunt you down, and your only chance will be gone."

"Hmph... Of course." Takara huffed.

Then they left the Prison and took a Condor (Battlefield: 2042) ride back to the Portal, where the 1st Expedition and 2nd SFRI require help...

The only problem is... Would anyone in the Expedition is willing to take the Lesser Evil?
