((A zorua waddles by with a sign that reads " That actual morning "))

 Rik:

  No nightmares happened after I fell asleep again. I honestly couldn't even remember the one I had previously.

 I yawned and tried to move, but the numbness still hadn't gone away yet. I looked at my numb arm; it twitched occasionally. 

 " Hello Rik...." I jumped at the voice. Turning my head slightly, I was met with Tango's glowing red eyes. I froze up as he approached, " H-hi.... Tango..." I mumbled as the demon hermit walked over to my bed. He motioned down at me, " Can I sit?" he questioned as I nodded.

 The hermit sat down, " Where are the others?" I questioned as Tango looked around. I looked towards the couch. Mumbo and Iskall were still sleeping on it, but when I looked towards Netty's bed and X's bed, the two were gone.

 Tango explained that X was getting some food for himself because Netty told him too. The three of them were then going to work on that portal. I nodded as Tango crossed his arms. He looked sad as he ran his hand through his hair.

 " Rik, I know what happened to you." Tango spoke in a low voice. I wanted to get away from him the moment he uttered those words. He's a demon, of course he'd know what I did. I don't want X or the others to know though.

 No one should know about why I do the things I do.

 I looked up at him as Tango raised his glowing hand to put mouth. An even greater numbing healing went over me as I dropped my head further into the pillow.

 " W..." I tried to question him, but I couldn't feel anything. Tango frowned at me, " You're eyes were glowing man. I know I said I know what you did, but I'm pretty sure you don't want my friends or your own friends to know the truth." he mumbled.

 He was right. 

 I kept trying to speak to him as my whole body twitched. Tango shook his head, " The magic I just used will nullify your demon powers for a couple of days. You, unfortunately, will probably pass out in a couple of hours." he frowned.

 " mmm..." I made a painful noise at him as Tango put me on my side in a more comfortable way. The demon's tail twitched, " X said I could change your position. You'll be more comfortable sleeping like this, trust me." he smiled slightly.

 You know, I want to help the hermits save my friends and their friends. I want to just go back home and sleep in my hammock, but life is honestly just the stupidest thing. 

 Tango walked over to a chest as his tail swished. He opened the chest and brought over an ice pack. His tail lowered as he put the pack on the side of my head. I made a tired noise as I looked at him.

 X came back into the room, " Hey, Tango. Let's keep working on the portal mate." he smiled at Tango. The admin looked over at me and frowned, " Are you any better Rik?" he questioned as I gave him a weak nod.

 Well, I tried to nod. My body was growing my limp by the second as I pressed into the pillow. The moment I nodded my whole body was almost fully limp. I made a noise at him as I fell asleep.

 ((A few hours later brought to you by the same zorua barking at a scared magnemite))

 When I came to, half of my body was still numb. I let out a wheeze as Mumbo picked me up. Mumbo made an alert noise, " Oh! Rik, I'm terribly sorry for waking you." he apologized. I slurred at him that it was alright, but it honestly didn't sound much like anything.

 " Where fingo, nooma, neph, n' igall?" I slurred as I groaned out in mild discomfort. Mumbo raised his eyebrow, but he soon understood what I asked, " The others are waiting by the portal. Well, Tango, X, and Netty are. Iskall is getting some food, medicine, and other things for the journey." he explained.

 I nodded at him tiredly as he walked over to where peg leg and metal leg were. Mumbo put the limbs into his inventory. I stared at him blankly as he continued to comfortably carry me.

 Dear god.... 

 This tall, stick of a Brit is strong as hell. 

 " How voo do that?" I slurred as Mumbo looked down at me, " Oh! I carry the other hermits a lot. I may not look like it, but I happen to be quite the strong fellow." Mumbo beamed as he carried me down the stairs. 

 We came to the bottom where the others were waiting. Iskall came into the room from the hallway with a huge bag on his back. Iskall tapped the side of his head and looked around. X looked at him with a worried look.

 " Did it break through?" X questioned in a whisper. Iskall narrowed his eye, " No, X it hasn't; however, the creature is close.... It's right outside the door." the hermit froze up slightly.

 Netty played with her tail, " What's wrong Iskall?" she questioned as her ears perked up. Iskall looked around at each of us and put his hand on Mumbo's shoulder, " It's looking at me.... It... It can see that we're trying to escape from it." he gulped.

 Everyone looked up as X put on his helmet, " Well, let's get this fired up shall we?" he questioned as he hurried over to the portal gate. He typed on the control panel quickly. Iskall kept watching with his eye narrowed.

 Tango narrowed his eyes as his body shifted into power form. His wings flapped as his horns grew out of his skull. He thrashed his tail and stared at the door. 

 X finished typing, " Time to go everywhere!" he shouted as the grey-ish blue portal opened. Our little group looked at each other, nodded, and we all hurried into the portal. X took a small device with him as we all went through.
