Xanthe stood in the doorway of Grian's room, staring at his old friend. Neither of them new what to say. It had been so long since they had seen eachother and the reunion almost felt surreal.

"Xelqua..." Xanthe murmured, stepping forward into the room.

Grian didn't know what to say, so he hugged Xanthe, pulling him into a warm embrace. Neither of the men wanted to let go.

"I-it's been so, so long, Xanthe..." Grian said smiling and pulling away from the hug.

"I know. But it's good to have you back!" Xanthe said closing the door behind him.

"I've been gone a while but it seriously feels like nothing has changed!" Grian explained, thinking of his exciting childhood.

"Yeah, where did you go after leaving the Void?" Xanthe asked, sitting on Grian's soft bed.

"Uhh- it's a very, very long story..." Grian said, trying to avoid a conversation about YHS or Evo.

"Well a long conversation would be fine, since we have all day. I assume you've just travelled by portal, meaning you will be tired and will need to rest for about a day or two, giving us plenty of time to catch up. So, Xel, what happened?" Xanthe knew how Grian was when trying to be secretive. He also knew how to get things out of Grian.

"I-... When I got invited to a school server, I immediately joined without hesitation. I obviously knew nobody there but I was immediately friends with two other students: Sam and Taurtis. I'd rather not go into detail, but Sam became a mass murderer, killing most people in the school and Taurtis... And then I escaped that place, finding my way back to an Admin Hub-" Grian started.

"An Admin Hub?" Xanthe asked.

"Yeah! It's like a much, much smaller version of the Void with a lot more people who look like they want to give you some 'special powder' or 'dizzy drinks'. I obviously avoided them and stayed in the better side of town. Eventually, I made a few friends and decided to apply for a server that I called 'Evolution'." Grian finished, sighing at the fond memories

"So you've been in Evolution this entire time?" Xanthe asked, cautiously.

"I-uh...no. Not exactly... I had to leave Evolution for...reasons and got a letter from this guy call Xisuma. He had contacted me because he wanted me to join Hermitcraft. I had to accept the offer...obviously, and ever since them I've been going through different seasons of Hermitcraft... it's been amazing..." Grian smiled, thinking of all of his friends in the overworld.

"Oh...wow. That's a lot of stuff. I've literally just been stuck here in the castle!" Xanthe complained.

Grian laughed at Xanthe's childish behaviour, earning fits of laughter from the taller of the two.

"Hey, why did you come back anyway?" Xanthe asked, still giggling slightly.

"Well, Sam has come back and we need someone to ban him... I thought that maybe you could help?" Grian said, hoping his best friend would agree.

"I could but you know my mother would never allow me to go to the Overworld, especially not without supervision." Xanthe said, sadly.

"Unless we sneak you out!" Grian suggested giggling.

"I have a feeling it would be much easier to just ask my mother, Xel...but if that doesn't work, I suppose sneaking out would work..." Xanthe agreed, sighing.

"Perfect! When will you ask her?" Grian asked, feeling extremely relieved.

"Tonight, over dinner. She should be in a good mood from preparations for the ball in 2 week's time!" Xanthe smiled.

"The ball is in 2 weeks? I could visit with all of my friends from HermitCraft!" Grian exclaimed, laughing with excitement.

"Yes! That would actually be amazing!" Xanthe grinned.

"What do you want to do in the meantime?" Grian asked, finally realising he was at home.

"We could go into the town. I know you've not been there for a while so we could visit all of the shops. And can we please get you some new clothes? You've had that jumper since before you left!" Xanthe complained.

"Yeah. I guess I have had the jumper for a while. It still has to be red though! I can't do blue or green! It has to be red!" Grian laughed.

"Alright! You can keep the red. Let's go!" Xanthe smiled, jumping from the bed and grabbing Grian's wrist, pulling him out of the door.

They rushed through the corridors and into the gardens, finding the gates and making their way out into the streets...
