Five months ,

Placing her hand on his thigh she looks at him whose legs were shaking the moment they have arrived into the hospital. They were in hospital for regular check up. Neil was so anxious meeting the doctor that he couldn't stop himself from being nervous.

Sweats were forming on his face. His legs wouldn't stop shaking. Hospital environment wasn't settling too well with him. He couldn't divert his mind. This wasn't first time meeting the doctor or coming to hospital for her check but since they are getting closer to each months, he has starts getting anxious and worried about the baby and his wife. 

Neil taking a deep breath looks at her placing his own hands on hers.

Neil : I'm so nervous Jaan! How can you he relaxed. Are you not worried?

Avni : Neil I can understand what you're feeling but there is no need to be so worried about us. Our baby would be fine.

Neil : I know Jaan! I just can't hold myself from getting worried.

She smiles and bringing their interlocked close to her lips, she placed a kiss making him little.

Avni: you don't need to worry. Be relaxed Neil.

Neil nodded his head controlling his heart that ponders faster than usual. Neil withdrew his hand and looks at the nurse who calls the name.

Neil stands up and forwards his hand towards her. She smiles and placing her hand in his she gets up following him to the doctor cabin.

Neil knocks on the cabin door and waits till he heard the doctor voice to enter. Neil pushed the door and enters smiling at the doctor who welcomes them standing up.

Doctor : hello mr and mrs khanna. I'm sorry keeping you both to wait. Hope you guys didn't have much problem in that?

Avni : no doctor.

The doctor smiles and nods her head taking file out of Avni's beggar asking few questions.

Doctor : shall we do some tests?

Avni nodded her head and stands up following up the doctor.

Doctor : you can also come Neil?

Neil looks at the doctor and getting the confirmation he also stood up and follows them to other side of the cabin where they going to conduct the test.

Doctor : please lie down and lift your top up.

Avni nodding her head climbs down the bed with help by and lies down holding into Neil's hand tightly. He noticed and starts caressing her hand softly with his fingers.

The doctor things arranged and looks at the couple.

Doctor : please lift your top.

Neil looks at Avni and blinking his eyes holds hems of her top and lifts it up till showing her stomach. The doctor did some check and looks at them.

Their eyes turns around on the screen. Neil's eyes filled with tears as he watched the screen. He felt something touching his hand. He looks down and found his wife pressing his hand tighter. He smiles and drops a kiss on her forehead.

Neil helps Avni to walk back the cabin and made her sit on the chair before sitting himself next to her.

Neil : doctor, is everything okay? Is the baby okay?

Doctor : yes Neil.. I also have something to share with you both.

Neil : what doctor?

Avni also looked at the doctor in worry and holds Neil's hand. Neil looks at her and pats her hair gently.

Doctor : there is nothing to be worried about. Mother and baby are doing perfectly fine. They both are healthily. I'm happy and pleased to know you both are doing what I have advised to do. I have checked it everything is seems fine. 

Neil : you wanted to tell us something. What is that?

The doctor looks at them before showing the reports to them. Neil took the reports and reads through and got shocked seeing the reports.

Avni got confused seeing his expression and takes the report before reading it through. Even her expression changed looking at he report.

Neil drove the car in silence and glanced in between looking at his wife who hasn't exchanged any words after they came out of hospital.

He sighs and placed his hand on hers that rested on her lap. She looks at him trying to convey her feelings through her eyes.

Neil pulls the car over on the side and turning around looks at her cupping her face. He leaning forward kissed her forehead.

Neil : what are you thinking Jaan? You don't to stress about what doctor mentioned.

Avni : how can I not stress Neil? I don't know what I should feel. Should I be happy or sad? I'm so confused.

Neil : it would be okay Jaan. Please don't stress yourself. Whatever comes we will be ready.

Neil looks at her and wipes her tears that escaped. He pecks her forehead.

Neil: do you want to go to beach? You will feel better.

She looks at him and nodded his head. Neil shifts back to his seat and pulls the car over. He then starts driving to one of the beach. He could see the sun going down.

He looks at her who leans towards him resting her hand on his shoulder. With his free hand he starts stroking her hair gently. He even drops few kisses while driving in between.

Neil opens the door and smiles gesturing her to come out. They both took their shoes and starts walking on sandy beach holding their hands. There not many people.

They find it peace walking holding hands together. Neil had his one arm around her shoulder. He would pecks her cheek in between.

They stopped talking and Neil looks at Neil.

Neil : why did you stopped walking?

Avni : I wanna sit down. Let's near the sea.

He nods his head and finding the safest spot he sat down pulling her down with him. He backs hugs her resting his arms around her stomach. She leans back on his chest and looks at the sea.

Avni : Neil. Can I ask you something?

Neil looks at her pecking side of her head and hummed playing with her hair.

Avni : what do you think? Will we have a baby girl or boy?

Neil: I don't know jaan. Like I said before I won't mind having baby girl or boy long as it baby health and safe. It really doesn't matter to me what gender we have. What do you wish to have? I mean this is going to be our first baby? A symbol of us, a soul of ours.

Avni : I would really like to have baby boy just like you. I remember how naughty you were during your childhood. I want a baby boy just like you Neil. I also don't mind having baby girl.

Neil: so I was naughty? Didn't you fall with this naughty boy?

Avni : you were more than a naughty boy Neil. I still remember how you used to trouble mom. You used to keep her on toes every seconds.

Neil laughs out heart.

Neil : I'm going to spoil our baby then Jaan. You can't stop me.

Avni : Neil, you won't mind having baby girl or boy but what do you really wish to have baby girl or boy?

Neil looks at her for a moment and thought before expressing his feelings.

Neil : I really want a baby boy and girl. Maybe twins. I really want that to happen. I might be more bias towards my baby girl though. She's is going to my princess and heart of my queen.

Avni : does that mean your love for me will decrease?

Neil slaps her head lightly making her wince and glares at him.

Neil : stupid question! How can my love decrease for you Jaan. You're my first love. No one can replace your place in my heart. My love for you will never decrease or change no matter what Jaan. I'll always love you the most. Our baby will make their place into my heart. No one will take place that belongs for my wife only.

A tear escaped down her eyed and it fell on his hand. He shook his head and brushing his thumb against her eyes wipes the tears away.

He kissed her forehead and looks at the timing on his wrist.

Neil: Jaan, we should get going. It might rain. Look at the clouds.

She looks at the sky that were covered with clouds. They stood and starts moving to their when they felt droplets falling in their skin. They rushed quickly and got inside the car.

Neil giggles and looks outside of the window where it  starts pouring down.

Neil: what a day? I love the rain.

Avni : beautiful day. I'm craving so much things to eat.

Neil: what are you carving Jaan?

Avni : I can't make up my mind. At one point I want ice cream or something creamy like a pasta. My mind is confused.

Neil : well! We can buy ice cream on our way to home. We can make something at home.

She nods her head and liking the idea of cooking at home.  Neil pecks forehead and starts driving while rolling little bit widow hearing the rain drops.

Neil glanced his wife who felt little cold. He closed the window immediately and garbs a jacket from behind passing it to her. She smiles and wraps wore the jacket.
