Zeref

I groaned in pain. Where the hell am I? What happened to me? I noticed I was in a room, an unfamiliar place. 

I knew I shouldn't be here. It's way too dangerous , for anyone to go near me. I still have the Curse of Contradiction within me. 

As I get up, from the bed, someone said, "So, you're finally feel better?" 

The voice was so recognizable, as I couldn't believe it. 

Right beside my bedside was Natsu. 

He has a scar on his face, which was new, but also he seems to be quite relief that I was finally awoken. 

"N-Natsu." I said as the Dragon Slayer finally lets out a breath of total relief. 

"Man, I was worried sick about you. I thought you would never wake up from your injures. I can guess of having the final battle in the War must've tired you out, considering what you went through. " 

I was confused by his words. "Wait, what you talking about? What War? And where am I?" 

Natsu seems to be quiet as if things had happened and it seems like it totally effect him. Was it my doing?

Natsu finally said, "Well, you're in the Sabertooth Guild medical hall. Sabertooth Guild is a friend of mine, so you don't have to be concerned , Zeref. 

As for the War, you really didn't remember it? You started it... and I became E.N.D. 

Huh, it really changed me." 

That was when I remember it. The War that I embarked , that threatened Magnolia. 

I just knew I had to disappear. I got up, as Natsu was concerned about my well-being. 

"Hey anki, where you going? We need to talk." Natsu said. 

The word, Anki shook me. He never calls me , "Big brother" , ever. 

"Natsu, you can't go near me." I said, as Natsu raises his fist, "What you mean, Zeref?!? I waited tiredly for you to wake up, so we can talk . 

I just want to know my brother, for real. " 

"I'm sorry, Natsu. I just can't." I replied to my younger brother as he yells, "You can't disappear, Zeref! 

If you really are concerned about that damn curse of yours, I should inform you that the Contradiction Curse was lifted the moment that Lucy rewrote the Book of E.N.D.!"  

My eyes widen when Natsu revealed it to me. 

Natsu sat down as if he finally was relieved that he can get it off of his chest.

Before Zeref wake up, Lucy went to me to talk. 

"Natsu , there is something you need to know. Remember that you had the Book of E.N.D.?" 

I nod, as if I was confused of her concern. "Yeah, of course I remember the Book of E.N.D. It belonged to me, remember, or did you forget that Grey almost had me killed?" 

"It's just about the curse that Zeref had. The Curse of Contradiction. When I had the book, I rewrote the book. The Curse has been lifted." 

I pushed Lucy to the comer  just to make sure she wasn't lying to me. 

"You absolutely sure that you're not making this up, Lu. " 

The Celestial wizard said, pulling herself away from me, "It's all true, Natsu, it really happened, and Mavis... she um, she's not immoral anymore. " 

I turned around to see our first master in casual clothing which was a shock to see. 

"M-Mavis?!? You're back alive?" I stated in pure shock. 

Lucy whack me on the head as if it sounds so weird of me to say that to her. 

 "It's quite all right, I'm sure that Zeref needs his younger brother right about now. I just think for the time being that he doesn't see me yet." 

The way Mavis talked, it seems like they were destined to be together, even though when they kissed, she was dead . 

Maybe telling Zeref that his beloved girlfriend is back from the dead would be a bad idea indeed. 

"Ok. I guess. But if he does see you, I hope that he can handle it." I said, totally understanding her reasoning. 

The tension of the room was intense as Zeref couldn't believe what he was hearing. 

"No... you're lying to me! The Curse , it can't be lifted." He said , backing away from me. 

"Why you so afraid of? Anki, I'm telling you the truth." I said, trying to calm him down. 

"No, it can't! I don't want to hurt my only family member I had left!" He said . 

He ran as I yelled, "Zeref!" 

But I knew that I had to find him. He needs me. 

Happy said, looking at me, "He didn't take the news too well, hasn't he?" 

I said, "I just found out that Zeref is my big brother. I can't just abandon him. Happy, I say that we look for him. " 

"Aye, Sir." The blue Exceed exclaimed happily as we raced to find my brother. 

I really want to talk to him so badly. 

"Geez, Anki. You really have to be this difficult?" I thought in my mind, "We're finally together as siblings. 

I saw how much my friends had been through with their own families struggles and misunderstandings that I want to be with. 

Zeref, I want you to be in my life, why can't you see that?"

I still hardly believe it. Natsu and Zeref, are brothers. It felt like a dream to me, like it was unreal. 

Carla said, "Seriously , child, you still thinking about it? I still can't believe it myself, for that matter." 

I turn to the white exceed, "Do you think that Natsu and Zeref will finally get along, after everything had happened?

Can you be able to see their future?" 

The white exceed shrugs, "I really can't say. The future is practically unpredictable. I don't know the answer to that question." 

I sigh as I suddenly saw Zeref , as he bumps into me. 

"S-Sorry." He said, as the white exceed said, "Well, at least that he has some manners." 

"Carla!" I scolded her, as I smiled, "You look like you been through a lot. Come with us." 

We led the black wizard to our home as I pour some herbal tea.  

"Here. This tea is specialized of getting your magic back. It's not poisonous. " I said to him as he asks me, "Why you being so nice to me?

I was your enemy, why you treating me differently?" 

"Zeref, after what you been through, I get it. You just thought that you're all alone in the world, but you're not. 

I got to thank Natsu for that. He really does care for others, even though he can be reckless at times." I chuckled at the memories I cherished in being from Cait Shelter. 

"So, you're a friend of Natsu. Listen, I really don't have to be here. It's way too-" 

"I taken that Natsu told you about the Curse of Contradiction being lifted and you didn't believe him am I right?" I ask. 

He was amazed of how I heard about it. "You knew about my curse?" 

"Why , of course. And about you and Mavis too." Carla said.  Zeref couldn't believe it. 

"Listen, I know it's none of my business, but you and Natsu have to talk to one other. You guys are brothers , for crying out loud! 

And... I want to thank you." 

Zeref finally looks up to me, with curious expression. 

"Without you, I wouldn't be the person I am today, and with you not making E.N.D. in the first place, I wouldn't be friends with Lucy, Happy, and the entire guild. " 

Natsu

 I looked everywhere for my brother. Geez, why does he have to be that stubborn?

"Natsu, you have to give Zeref some break. I know that you wanted to know him better. Still it's hard to believe after all this time, Zeref was your brother. " Happy said. 

I turn to my best friend as we went inside our house. It was still intact , although I was truly amazed that it wasn't torn to pieces when the war started. 

I said, " I know that Zeref is my brother, but ... I really do want to know him. I just found out that we're related. 

We've been apart for so long, Happy. I just want to do this brother thing right. Having a brother, huh. It never concurred to me if I had a family, besides Igneel and you , Happy." 

The blue exceed sigh, as if he knew that it was a lot to process for all of us, and it must been quite a shock for him to learn that his best friend was E.N.D. 

"Listen, Natsu, if you need someone to talk to, I'm here for you, also with the members of the Fairy Tail guild. " 

I begin to form a small , as I knew that no matter what the situation we're in, Happy was always be my #1 supporter. 

As we were in total silence, trying to think of the situation, an knock came to the door. 

I look at the blue exceed with a curious expression on my face, as I ask , "Were you expecting someone?"

I opened the door, to see it was Grey. 

I see he was shirtless as I was looking at him with a smug on my face. 

"Grey, that's not cool, dude. You're shirtless again." I said. 

He looks down, as he said, "How did that happen? Man, this stinks." 

He finally put a shirt on, as he said, "Do you have a moment to talk?" 

I nodded as I followed him to an nearby bench. 

We sat down as the ice wizard said, "So, how you feel, man? I mean, with having the powers of E.N.D. and all." 

I look at my hands as I remember the horror of my guildmates as I was going out of control, as E.N.D. 

"Personally, dude, I still can't hardly believe it. I still can't believe that Mavis and Zeref had to go through all that unfair happiness and their curses. 

I could wish that I had known it sooner. " I said. 

Grey said, "It couldn't be helped, Natsu. I guess it's fate that lead you and Zeref go on different paths. But tell me something. 

How's things with you and Lucy?"

My cheeks blushed with the name of Lucy.  

Grey sees my blush, "Awe, what you know. You absolutely love her, that's great!" 

I raise my fists, "Awe, yeah? What about you and Juvia, huh? You two are lovers aren't ya? Ever since after the war ended, you two were lovely doves in the guild." 

"Be quiet, man." Grey said, as he was about to fight me, but I glanced around, "Let's not fight yet. You know... um Ezra might..." 

He sweats , "Oh, crap. You're right. Ezra would be mad. "  

We searched around to make sure she wasn't watching on us. We sigh in total relief. 

"I'm going to continue searching for Zeref. Later." I said, as Grey smiles at me.
