Hi everyone. Meet Ace. He's a dog we picked up earlier on today. He's got a rather sad story, since he's not a stray but he's not really a dog with an owner. We found him in our garden this morning, we have 4 other dogs all girls, and usually if another dog is in the picture they'll go nuts, specifically if it's a male. But they didn't mind, since we've got two pups just shy of a year, so they seemed to tolerate him. My step dad put him outside of the gate for him to find his home, we thought he lived next door. So my boyfriend and I walked outside to put him in the next door neighbour's garden. (they're currently rebuilding their wall out front so there's gaps in their wall for the door so the dog can get through) he walked in and their dogs didn't mind so we assumed it was theirs. He came back an hour later, squeezing through the gate. We took him back to the neighbours and then took him back and he came back. Not until I called for the neighbours did we find out about who he was. His owners live next door to my neighbours, and they don't care about him. The people who own him asked my neighbours to adopt him if they want him but they can't, for various reasons. We took him to his owners, twice and he came back both times.

He did this by climbing over a wall that was too low, into our neighbours garden and out and through our gate. We even spoke to the guy about his dog in our garden and when he came to get the dog at the gate Ace wanted to run away. He came back the last time and we've had him since. The owner has made it clear that they don't want the dog by the way they treat him. It's been hours since the dog left and they haven't come to look for him. They haven't sent out people to see if their neighbours have seen him, or anything. We have four dogs already.

We can't keep him. We can barely handle 4 dogs. But we can't give him back. He's staying tonight but we don't know what's gonna happen with him. He's such a sweet dog, his tail has been cut sadly, too short, so he has to use his butt to wag his tail, and he ends up wiggling his body. He's a sausage dog mixed with a Rottweiler, and he's the sweetest thing. He's taken a real liking to my boyfriend. So we're hoping he either stays or goes with him so he can be with someone he likes but any home would be good for him. A home that cares.
