My world was far from the place that you call Earth. It was a planet along the far reaches on the Milky Way. My planet is called Globopolis because of it gelatin look. It looks like a clear blue blob that a person could mold like play doh. The planet appears like it is floating and jiggling around in slow motion. The people of my world have the same characteristics as humans and many of them move to Earth or vacation there. Many of my friends have been to Earth and tell the most wondrous stories about the landscape and how it is solid and doesn't move like a gooey slime ball like our planet. I heard many stories over the years and I begged my parents to take me, but they refused and said that there were too many dangers on Earth. Finally on my eighteenth birthday I decided to run away and go explore Earth.

Upon my arrival to this new planet I was in awe of the brightness of the sun. On my planet there is very little light because a comet blocks out the light. The sunrise on Earth had a beautiful array of colors. There were purples, yellows, and oranges. My eyes burned because I stared at the sun for too long admiring its beauty. I went out to seek some form of employment so that I could further learn about my new home. I found a job at a place that is called an insane asylum. I talk with the other patients and help the orderlies with their rounds. I eat with the patients and ask them how their day has been, but normally most of them just make strange noises. I even got my own room in the building and I don't have to pay for any of the amenities. I have been working at the asylum for about a year now and I have been planning on going back home to visit with my folks and tell them about all the amazing things that I have learned.

"I would like to give you my letter of resignation. I will be going back to my home soon and I don't plan on being back soon. I sure will miss this place though!" I said to the lady at the front desk as I handed her an envelope.

"Miss Johnson, I will give this to the boss myself; now you wait here a minute. I will see if he can speak with you now." The receptionist said in a kind voice.

I waited for only a few minutes before Mr. Ward was available to speak with me. I walked into his office and I noticed how cluttered his desk looked. There were papers falling off onto the floor from the over flow.

"Ah, Miss Johnson I see that you have intentions of heading back home."

"Yes, my parents will be so excited to see me again!"

"I see; now you have been with the hospital for a year now and have done some great things. I wish you didn't want to leave."

"Yes I will miss being here, but I feel that it is time for me to return home."

"Now where is your home again?"

"I have told you this before. Silly, I talk about my planet all the time because everyone seems to be so interested."

"Yes, silly me. Well Miss Johnson I hate to be the one to tell you this, but your parents will not be waiting for you when you go home."

"What? Has something happened to them or my planet!?" I asked in a panic.

"No."

"Then why will my parents not be waiting for me?"

Mr. Ward sighed and replied, "Miss Johnson, your parents were murdered. They were murdered by you. You are a patient at this hospital."

"No! Why are you lying to me! I don't understand!" I scream out in a rage throwing myself at Mr. Ward

The orderlies storm in and carry me out of the room. They put me into an uncomfortable jacket and leave me in a large padded room with a mirror near the top.

"It's a shame such an intelligent young person would be able to do such a horrific crime and have no recollection. It's just a shame." Said Mr. Ward who was standing behind the mirror looking down at the girl who was screaming and crying about her parents and planet.

"Ron! There's a letter here from Victoria! She said that she made it safely to Earth and is in search of a job." Said a woman running into a house.

"I guess that I worried too much about her. She sounds like she is having a good time. I suppose we should have allowed her to go to Earth sooner. I hope that she stays safe out there," replied her husband.
