There was an old house that sat atop of Derry Hill which was rumored to be haunted by the vengeful spirit of Miss Mary Josephine Taylor, a housekeeper for the wealthy Aberdale's, one of the noble families that lived in the small town of Derry Falls. According to rumors, Taylor had been treated poorly by the family, being tortured everyday in their basement if there was even a speck of dust left unattended to. One day, Taylor couldn't take it anymore and decided to kill each and every one of the residents which resided in the home. Including the Aberdale's 8 month old daughter, Lavender Roosevelt Aberdale. She then resorted to killing herself as well so that she would be able to get away with the murders...

   It is said that the Aberdale House was bought and then sold, time and time again because residents complained about hearing the sound of a baby crying loudly. And children complained about a woman chasing them with a bloodied knife. And some complained of waking up in the middle of the night, gasping for air as though someone had tried to choke them to death in their sleep. Eventually, a company bought the house. I could never find out what happened to it. There are rumors that they knocked it down and turned the area into a mall, but I personally think that it's still sitting there with Mary waiting for her next victim. What do you think?
