XVII. Defining Us (8)

When Macau's hand is trying to dive into his suit jacket to get his gun, Nao can easily snatch it away. "Don't," he says, his voice is unusually calm and collected. There is no heat whatsoever. "This is a tiny closed space. You can get hurt." He presses the pause button on the elevator.

Macau is questioning this man's sanity inside his head. "If you think I can not use a gun ..."

"Training and using it to kill for real is different, Baby. With no disrespect, it's blatantly obvious you haven't killed anyone, or anything, in your life."

That name-calling again. Macau snatches his hand from Nao. He is closing his eyes and taking deep breaths to manage his emotions like his therapist told him to. Dealing with Nao is making his sanity level plunge down fast.

How the fuck can he get here unnoticed? As far as he knows, both Vegas and Kai have put warning announcements on this guy so if he ever steps into Thailand, they will know.

"This is a Theerapanyakul's building, do you think you can get away from here?"

Nao smiles. His posture is relaxed with hands on his pants pocket and laid back posture. "I'm just a visitor. I mean no harm. People on the CCTV know we're only chatting here. On what base they will hold a Hayama?"

Macau is playing with his tongue inside his mouth while his eyes are fixed on the camera inside the elevator. Nao is zeroing in on it like it is the most fascinating display he has seen in his life.

"You just want to create a war," Macau says. He is tired. Porchay hasn't even woken up yet. Now this?

"I'm not. I swear to God, I'm not." Nao is making a swear sign with one hand and the other hand is placed on his heart.

"You're an atheist. Your swear don't count."

Nao laughs out loud. This is one of the reasons why Nao finds Macau fascinating. Their bantering never gets old.

Macau sighs as he hears people's feet outside, running while making a loud sound. Enforcers. "What do you want Mr. Hayama?"

Nao is hiking his brows. "Mr. Hayama? Why so polite, Baby?"

"Don't ...," but he pauses while closing his eyes. It's no use to tell this guy anything. "Just get on with it."

Nao is still for a moment, thinking about his choices, his wording. "Go out with me."

"Can't. Have a boyfriend that I happen to love, remember?"

Nao chuckles. "Love is overrated, you know?"

"You're loveless. You don't know anything about love." That jab is too close to home that it makes Nao cringe with pain a little.

"Then love me."

It's so hard for Macau not to curse but then he knows Nao just loves for him to get riled up. "You're straight, Mr. Hayama."

"I'm willing to try new things with you."

"No, thanks."

"I insist."

Macau is finally looking at Nao with undivided attention. "You're sick, you know that?" he says slowly. "Go get help."

"Why don't you help me?" He is still saying that with an ease, relaxed posture, and a calm voice. How the fuck? When Macau is almost boiling with anger, annoyance, and frustration.

"For the last time, Naozumi Hayama, I am not interested and I don't want to have anything to do with you!" Macau finally snaps.

There's a banging on the door. He can hear Tankhun's frantic voice. He seems to be calling Kimhan, who surprisingly picks up the phone. With Porchay situation, that guy doesn't have the slightest care about the world, except if it is Porchay-related. Well, his world is Porchay.

"If that Kai guy is out of the picture, will you be willing to be with me?"

Macau is seething. "If you even graze his skin, I am willing to go to war with you!" he says through gritted teeth.

Nao is smiling. Psychopath. Macau wonders if Porchay ever sees this side of Kim. Probably have. Then his best friend is kind of lunatic also if he still likes the guy. "Well, an accident can happen." That's a hidden threat right there. Anyone can pick that up.

"If he dies because of you, I'll kill myself before you can even touch me."

"Don't be so dramatic, Baby. I don't like that." Only now his voice lost its coolness.  The thought of Macau killing himself is not sitting right in his stomach.

It isn't supposed to be like this, Nao...

But then again he isn't supposed to go out of his way to just see Macau. All the troubles he had to face just to have this conversation. He spent two days at sea for this.

"I don't fucking care what you like! Can you just leave me alone? Please!" Macau shouts again out of frustration.

The banging gets stronger.

Nao picks up his slack and moves closer to Macau. With each step back Macau does, he is closing it in. His hand moves to cup Macau's cheek, gliding his thumb on its surface. It's soft. Just like in his dreams.

"I'm sorry," he says with a quiet tone. "I can't seem to do that, Baby."

Macau is looking at him like a deer caught in a headlight, taken back. "Crazy," he murmurs.

Nao smiles. "That I admit." He stays like that for a moment. "Have dinner with me."

"No," Macau replies firmly.

Nao is chuckling. Before he can say anything else, the door is forcefully opened. Nao turns around with his hands in the air and a smile on his lips. He steps back with confidence that no one will hold him down.

True to his thinking, no one does even with all those guns in the air.

"See you around, Baby," he says to Macau.

Kai comes home after he learns about the situation. He is already on the phone with his head of security, barking mad, when Nao is still inside the elevator with Mac.

He fears for his boyfriend's safety, but his head security tells him that everything is under control as his team and Theerapanyakul's team are on the case together.

They don't follow Macau to the elevator because Macau asked them to, thinking his in a safe environment. Nao was taking everyone out of guard. Even Kim was furious as Tankhun was stressed out. He wouldn't let go of Macau out of his embrace until Pete showed up.

He is now on the phone with his boyfriend after his work cut the previous phone call while he waits for his plane to touch down in half an hour.

"For the last time, Chaimongkon, I am fine," Macau seems annoyed. It makes Kai smile as it tells that he really is fine.

"Ok," Kai says. "Pick me up at the airport, then."

"Ok," Mac agrees. "I'll see you in a half hour then."

At half an hour, Macau is engulfed in Kai's embrace, getting kisses at every part of his head and face that Kai can get. Macau is making an annoyed sound.

It's not that he doesn't like the treatment, but Kai is doing this in public where anyone can snap a picture and send it to gossip outlets.

"Can we just wait until we get in the car?" he asks. The answer comes in a bite to the side of his neck. "Ah! What the hell Chaimongkon!" he shouts as he covers the bite with his hand.

"I don't know you are an uptight kind of person."

"I just hate the notifications on my Instagram."

Kai laughs. "Fine, fine," he says as he gives the final peck on the lips. "Tell your driver to go home. You ride with me."

"I drive myself."

Now, Kai is cocking his tongue inside of his mouth and placing his arms on his waist, while looking at Macau like he wants to spank the shit out of him. "Do you know how stupid it was," he says, holding himself back in every syllable.

"Nanda and Jom are on the bike behind me."

Kai is shaking his head. A car arrives. "Key," Kai says, hand out drawn. Macau gives him without resistance. He knows when to shut up as he sees how angry Kai is. Kai tosses the key to his secretary. "Get in." He waits until Macau is inside before he too gets in.

The ride is too quiet for sometimes. Nobody is making a sound. There are sounds of phone rings now and then and a quiet hushed as Kai's secretary answers the call. But he knows better than to put the call through his boss.

He looks outside to clear his angry head, with a hand clutching Macau's and the other massaging his forehead. He doesn't trust himself to talk, it will end up in shouting and Mac will be forced to match his heat. He doesn't even respond when Macau asks in a gentle tone, "Are you that angry?"

It takes time before he can speak. At least Macau acknowledges that he is angry. "Look," he begins after a deep breath, "I know that you like your freedom, but we're dealing with a lunatic who wants to take you away from me here. I want you to be extra careful, ok?"

Macau nods obediently and kisses his cheek. Kai clicks the button of the window divider and snatches his chin in an instant, forcing him to open his mouth as he gives his boyfriend an open-mouth kiss. He doesn't even wait until the divider puts a distance between them and the two people in the front. His secretary and driver are paid to be politely disregarding whatever their boss is doing behind them.

He pours all of his emotions into the kiss, wrecking Macau until the boy is pressed between his body and the seat. Macau doesn't even fight it, he takes whatever frustration Kai feels.

He feels light-headed from all the ferocious kissing as Kai ventures to his neck and shoulder blade. His T-shirt is already somewhere on the car floor.

The car is stopping.

"Kai, where are we going?" he says through the haze.

"Home," Kai answers, his mouth busy licking and biting Macau's breasts and stomach. Now he is trying to open Mac's leather belt and pants.

"Whose home?"

"Mine."

"Family home?"

"Mh," he hums his agreement. "Why are you asking so much?"

Macau gulps. Macau's eyes snap to the view outside. It is Kai's family home and now he can see Chan walking to them. Mae is following. "We're stopping. Get off of me!" he frantically tries to put on his pants and belts again and takes his forgotten t-shirt in his hand. "Tidy yourself up!" he commands his boyfriend as he glances at the messes his hands make on Kai.

Kai groans. He reluctantly does what Macau says. His boyfriend helps him lose his tie altogether and puts on his wrinkled suit jacket. Unnecessary, Kai thinks. They will just put it off again once they are inside his room.

They go outside at a little too hurried pace. Chan is glancing at her mother. Anyone can figure out what Kai and Macau were doing just now with the state of Macau's lips and hair. They hide their smile, but it's too obvious that it gets Macau's face red.

"Chan, stop it!" her brother scolds her openly after seeing his boyfriend's embarrassed face.

Chan pouts, "I didn't say anything!" she protests.

"You don't have to. You better behave now or I cut your allowance to nothing!" he threatens.

Chan instantly stays still. Kai's sour mood is obvious and it's better to do what her brother says or there will be consequences. Kai is strict like that. His mother chuckles, "Stop it, children! You make Macau uncomfortable. Come with Mae, Son. Just leave these two!" She takes Macau's hand and drags him inside. Kai reluctantly separates himself from his lover, unable to say anything to his mother.

Macau entertains Kai's mother as his boyfriend once again engulfs himself in phone calls. He takes Kai's hand as he presses his body to his boyfriend as soon as he can get away. "Take a bath first," he gently says.

"In a moment," Kai stubbornly disagree, still busy with his call.

"Kai," he calls. When it doesn't work, he adds, "Phi Kai," with a sultry tone that gets Kai to pause, "Take a bath first, ok?"

The eyes are promising something to one another. "Fine," Kai says. "I leave you to Mom for now."

Macau laughs as Kai grabs his ass and squeezes them with the right force. "You're a helpless pervert, Chaimongkon, I swear to God."

Kai smiles as he whispers, "You love it, Baby."

Macau can't deny it.
