Kim laughs so hard that it reddens Nao's face. On Kinn's and Porsche's faces, there is confusion, but they try to maintain their cool. Kinn is more successful than Porsche.

"Are you drunk?" Kim sneers, "What were you drinking on the way here?"

"I'm sincere," Nao says as he looks at Kim in the eyes.

Kim snorts, condescendingly. "Yeah, right. So Mr. Straight from a homophobe family suddenly likes dicks!"

"Just one dick. Somewhat like yourself."

Kim is now tilting his head, observing. He doesn't say anything back to Nao. He doesn't need to, since the door is bursting open, and in comes the angry mobs, Vegas and Pete.

"You fucking bastard!" Vegas wants to jump Nao so badly that it takes Pete and Porsche to hold him down. "What the hell did this fucker ask, Kinn?"

Kinn calmly states, "For your brother's hand in marriage in exchange for the borders' permit."

Then Vegas changes into a murderous state. "You gotta be fucking high, Nao, if you think I will let you take my brother to your territory without me sticking to him 24/7 now, let alone marry him! Do you fucking know what your father did to me back then? Do you think I will let your father get a hand on my brother for a mere millions of dollars?"

"We'll get married when my father ..."

"No," Pete calmly cuts. "We are not going to take the deal. We don't do arranged marriage and Cau already has a boyfriend."

"That Chaimongkon guy?" This time, it's Nao who sneers. "You must've known he is not a great match for Macau."

"Macau loves him," Pete gives an underline on the word love. "We only want his happiness no matter whom he loves."

"So if he loves me, you'll give me him?" There is a hard determination in Nao's eyes that shakes Pete's heart. He stays silent and doesn't know what to say to that.

It's Vegas who replies. "No," he states, unwavering. "I will never give my brother to your family, even if he falls in love with you to death. Even if I die, I will make sure he will never be yours."

"So just bury your idea of being with him no matter what motive you have. I don't care if you want him for revenge or if you have fallen in love with him. I. Don't. Care. It's best if you don't come around him again or I'll make Kim put a bullet between your eyes."

Kim is hiking his brows slightly on that statement. His lips bear a faint smile.

Nao takes a deep breath and looks at Kinn. "What does the head of the family have to say?"

Kinn considers his options. "I'm afraid we have to turn down your offer. Vegas is the head of Macau's family. As he doesn't want to take your hand in marriage, I can not force him."

"If Macau is the one who wants to marry me?" Nao knows he is being stubborn in this. "What will you say?"

Kinn smiles. "Then we'll talk about it when it happens. Mind you, Macau is very much in love with Kai."

"Feelings can change."

"If he changes his feelings for you, then I have no choice but to tell him what your father did to me back then and your role in it. Let's see how he feels about you then."

Nao grits his teeth. He can't seem to win here. His hands clench hard. His brain tries to think of a way out of this.

Kinn takes a deep breath and says, "We can't talk about marriages and festivity now, Mr. Hayama. We have an unfortunate event that we need to focus on. I'm sorry but I must cut our meeting short here." He stands up and Nao stands up with him then they shake each other's hand.

"Our laboratory has extensive knowledge on how to deal with coma patients. If I may offer you a hand on little Kittisawasd situation ..."

It's Kim who answers, making Porsche grumbles in annoyance. "No, thanks. We don't need it."

Nao nods one time with a sour smile. Then the butler is called to see him out.

"He won't back down, V. You know it," Kim says in that quiet room. Vegas merely lets out a deep breath. "Either he is a great actor or his feeling is sincere."

"He's straight! He helped to torture me with glee back then. He said all faggots, including his brother, are the scums of the earth. Tell me why I should think of him differently now and give my brother for the damn borders?" Vegas can't stay level-headed and lashes out. It's understandable.

"What does Chaimongkon have to say in this?" Kinn asks.

"He wants to marry Cau as soon as possible but then backs out because he knows that is not what Cau wants at this moment. He said, he would talk about it with Cau after Porchay's situation is resolved and he doesn't want to add to Cau's stress."

"Can he push Nao away?"

Vegas massages his forehead. "No. If we can't, certainly The Chaimongkons can't too."

Kim only nods and doesn't want to refute it. He only gives a meaningful glance to Kinn.

"Son, will you be staying for dinner?" Mrs. Chaimongkon asks Macau, who is playing an online game with the sisters with loud noises and shrieks. "No, Mae. Hia wants me to go to the main house after this."

"Ok," Mrs. Chaimongkon can't help but feel a little bit disappointed. Kai hugs her shoulders. "Can you guys just hurry up and get married so he will be in my house most of the time?"

Kai chuckles. "Are you prepared to have banshees all over our house every time we get to visit you guys?"

Mrs. Chaimongkon brushes it aside. "It's merrier that way. Don't go buying a house of your own in a rush. Stay here as long as you can. I'm sure your Pa won't mind."

"I mind. I don't want you guys to monopolize his time. Mind you, I also have to split him up with the Theerapanyakuls and the Kittisawasd. Not to mention his many friends," Kai dramatically sighs. "I don't know if we can ever get children with that kind of setup."

His mom laughs. "If you have children, just give them to me. I will take care of them."

"I think you have to fight Pete on that."

"Speaking of Pete, how is the surrogation going?"

"It's going well. Mac said the baby will arrive in seven months if everything goes smoothly."

"Will you guys be taking the same route with children?"

Kao shrugs. "We haven't talked about it."

Mrs. Chaimongkon nods. "Macau is indeed still too young to bear the responsibility of being a parent. I was twenty when I had you, but women and men have a different sets of minds when it comes to being parents. I was prepared and I love your father so much that you came at the right time even though we didn't plan it."

Kai observes his young lover's interaction with his sisters. "I think Mac will be a great parent," he says with a smile.

His mother smiles at him. "I think so too."

Macau doesn't quite understand the tense situation in the main house. At first, he thinks something bad has happened to Chay, but as he looks at his best friend's condition, that is not the problem.

"Cau, come eat with us," Vegas says by the door. Macau nods and follows his hia obediently. Kim follows him with his eyes. "I feel sorry for your best friend, Pichaya," he whispers to his unconscious boyfriend. "I think Nao really does fall in love with him. I don't think that guy will back up anytime soon if ever. Not even if Kai marries him first."

They eat in silence and Vegas waits until Macau puts down his chopsticks to say, "Nao was here to ask your hand in marriage."

Macau who is drinking at the time, bursts the water in his mouth and coughs like crazy. Pete pats his back to ease it. "What?" he shouts. "Is he crazy? No, he is indeed fucking crazy! What the fuck is going on in his fucking mind?" he rants his frustration.

Vegas nods, agreeing. "I don't know why he's fixated on you. I think his obsession is going out of control."

"His obsession with taking revenge on you?"

Vegas laughs without humor. "Revenge! He had his revenge. He tortured me for days, you know. Just because I dared to have feelings and fucked his brother."

It surprised Macau, not in a good way. "Tortured?"

"Mh hm. Some said he did it under his father's order, but I said he enjoyed it. He is as much a homophobe as his father. I was on the brink of death. It was Kim who rescued me back then under his father's order as ours was a dick."

Macau doesn't know what to say or do hearing it. But Arm's appearance wipes all the questions in his mind. "Khun, Porchay ... He wakes up!"

Nao is still in his car when a phone call goes through. It's his father. "You have half a day to be back. Otherwise, prepare for the consequences."

Nao doesn't say a word to that. Nor does he has a word when his father utters viciously, "You are out of your goddamn mind if you think I will stand silently to know you are trying to court that boy! Go back! Now!"

He only speaks to ask, "How do you know, Father?" Nao is not stupid. He has covered all of his tracks regarding Macau from his father, more than he ever did for anything else. If he has a traitor, he wants to know.

"The Chaimongkons are threatening to end their business contracts with us if you are still pursuing their son's boyfriend. As you know, we are about to sign a 500 million dollar contract with them regarding the Europe plan. Do you think I will let you screw that up for a mere boy? I don't know that you are becoming a faggot like your brother, Nao! What did I do to the ancestors that I have faggots as sons?"

A mere boy.

Nao takes great offense in that. Macau is in no way a mere boy. He is THE boy.

Nao lets his father blow up his steam for fifteen minutes more without even listening to it.
