II. The Charity Ball

To get information about Macau is a little tricky.

Sure, Kai can get any basic information such as birthday date, body measurement, preferences, friends, and things like that. Anyone in the Theerapanyakul's household is famous in more ways than one. Magazines that were fortunate enough to make him the cover of their magazines had that. But when he wants to dwell deeper, more intimate, he is stuck.

He can't seem to hire any informer, private detective, or hacker to get what he wants. All turned him down. Even if one wants to work for him, they can't get anything. All of Macau's more personal information is classified. Whoever on Vegas's payroll did, does, a remarkable job.

So, he impatiently waits for the charity balls the Governor holds. Ash wasn't letting go of the invitation in his hand easily last week.

"The Theerapanyakuls are going to be there, right?" he asked when they were meeting for a drink that night.

Ash furrowed his brows. "Yes. Why are you asking? No, scratch that! Who?" he says, as he gets the look on Kai's face.

"A certain someone named Macau," he gave Ash a mischievous smile.

"Vegas's little brother?" Ash looked genuinely shocked. "Kai, for the love of everything holy, no!"

"Your no is just an encouragement for me."

"Promise me you won't make a scene there, please," Ash begs. His father won't let them off easily.

"You know I can't do that, Ash."

Ash groaned. "Why not? You know V is going to kill you, right? He doesn't like people messing up with his brother."

Kai looked offended. "I'm not messing up. I'm being genuine here. I want to try to court him, date him. Seriously. Ash, I think I'm falling in love."

Ash doesn't believe him. "Kai, you can't be only with one person for a week, let alone a lifetime."

With a face and ass like Macau's, a lifetime is too short.

"I can so hold off sex for a week if that's what you're asking." Ash scoffed. "You wanna bet?"

"Sure. You have to get me that new Patek I'm eyeing if I win."

Kai laughed. "Get ready to buy me a condo for my new boyfriend then, asshole!"

So. Here he is, dressing to the nines and almost springing his neck looking for his beloved, in a room full of people he hates. Well, mostly.

Then his eyes see him, gulping a glass of champagne without a care but there is a certain polished sophistication in it. No one can say Macau Theerapanyakul doesn't come from a good family with the best manner education money can buy.

Kai's lips perform a smile as he inches closer. Macau isn't even aware he is already behind him, but when he leans over and whispers, "Don't you think you have enough for tonight?", he startles a bit. A little bit of champagne spills to the floor.

Those mesmerizing eyes are now solely focused on him, trying to figure out who he is and what he wants. Macau scans him, first fast then slower. Kai's smile gets bigger, wider, and happier, as he can take Macau's focus of the world to him only.

So he doesn't remember, he concludes.

Well, that's a bit of a bummer. But nothing he can't fix in the future. He will make sure Macau will remember him, inside or outside his body and mind. All of the delicious inches of him.

Then Macau decides to ignore him and is about to drink his glass again. Kai doesn't like it. This boy of his drinks like a fish. Too fast, too much. He needs to learn to pace or they might have a problem later as he can't even remember the magical night they spent together.

'Hey, wait up... His boy? They might have. Oh, really, Kai? That whipped already?'

Something inside the back of his mind mocks him.

To tell the truth, Kai prefers women. They are all soft, curve for days, delicate, with claws that can scratch you and teeth that really bite if they want.

But with one taste of Macau, he is addicted. All he wants is to kiss the boy, sinking drowning in him, arms wrapped around each other, legs mingled and intertwined. Macau is soft too, with curves in the right places, and, oh boy does he have claws and teeth. Kai's back can be a testament to it.

He takes Macau's glass, putting it away from him, and the boy pouts.

Like actually pouts. That sinful lips, all red and puffy.

Shit, he's adorable too, huh?

Kai is in a bigger problem than he thinks. He is sinking even deeper now to a manace called Macau.

Then Macau's face contorts to dislike. "Who are you?"

He smiles. Ah, all he wants to do is take that handsome face in his hands and ravish him. Manners be damn. Go to hell with consequences.

He puts up his hand for a handshake. Cau doesn't take it. He eyes him suspiciously.

Ouch.

"My name is Eakasit Chaimongkon. You can call me Kai."

He can literally tell what goes on inside of the boy's head as he learns his name. He must have gone in a kaleidoscope of who's who inside his head and pulled Kai's family name out of it.

Macau knows and is a bit impressed, but not too much. Macau's family is older and richer than Kai's. Nothing impressed The Theerapanyakuls if it's about gold and glory. They have it all.

It is a rare feeling for Kai to be not praised because of his money or family name alone.

Then they stay like that, legs to legs from each other, in silence as waves of people see and greet him.

"Khun Boss," they say. That's his nickname in the industry. Kai reserves for friends and family only. And lover. Which stands beside him now. "Glad to see you here."

Kai smiles politely. The one in front of him is a candidate for mayor in Chiang Mai. He needs the politeness even when it, this guy, irks him. He is eyeing Macau with evident lust when he is with his wife now. Macau looks at the guy with evident hate in return, already thinking of ways to heavily injure the guy in his mind. Very Theerapanyakul.

Kai's smiles widen. His lover is amusing.

"And this is?" the guy asks, pulling his hand for a handshake which Macau doesn't care about. He looks at the hand with disgust.

The guy looks insulted, but when Kai says, "This is Macau Theerapanyakul," his face changes. The guy gulps in fear. Yup. That's how heavy Macau's last name is. He can be a brash brat to the next governor and get away with it. The guy excuses himself and his wife in a hurry.

'Oh, Mac, what am I going to do with you?'

They stay close in silence still as the waves of greeters don't stop. But Macau doesn't remove himself. That's a positive note. He seems to be deep in his thoughts.

Then Kai sees Vegas is approaching with Pete in toe. He doesn't seem fond of seeing Macau is with Kai. His eyes already flashing threats to Kai who receives it with a wide smile, too used to seeing it although he is never on the receiving end.

"Cau," Vegas calls. The younger instantly follows the call, wanting to be near the older sibling.

Kai can't have that. He gets a hold of Macau's wrist and pulls him closer to his body, preventing him from moving further. Macau's eyes follow the act before going for his eyes. He looks pissed and becomes even prettier.

"What are you doing with my brother, Kai? Let go of him now," the command in Vegas's voice is evident, although delivered softly. He doesn't shout, manner is intact. Kai gives him a hike brow, impressed.

"I still need to talk to him."

"Talk about what? I don't even know you!" Macau says, trying to tug his hand free of Kai's hold. His grip becomes harder. He can hear Macau whimper slightly.

Shit. That thing does to him something as he can feel himself become harder.

He loosens his grip but doesn't allow Macau to pull himself off of him. He even tugs him closer to whisper, "Oh, but I know you. I know you well enough to know what faces did you make when you were cumming. Your pleads and lewd moans."

Macau's eyes widen. He remembers. Finally.

Kai grins wolfishly.
