Chapter 36---Romantic Getaway

Khairi's POV

"Come out,I'm waiting for you outside, but first change into a pair of more comfortable clothes" it was the message that Ayaan just sent me. I picked up my bag and head outside,I didn't see much people because they all left for the conveyance.

What happened earlier was so sad. I've never ever thought that I'll see Zahra in tears. And moreover the question kept on ringing in my head,who was the girl earlier and why was she onto Zahra?

I kept on remembering what Ruma said when I left Ayaan and Zahra alone.

I met Ruma by the stairs leaning on the wall. When she saw me,she stood straight and looked at me in the eyes with a neutral expression

"You enjoyed that didn't didn't you?" She asked me

"Pardon?" I replied, what does she mean,how can I enjoy that

"Dont play dumb,You enjoyed seeing i and Zahra on our knees. You saw our weakness,don't tell me you weren't happily celebrating in your head" she added raising a brow as if trying to be intimidating

"Rumaisa,look,I have no reason to enjoy your downfall. Believe it or not,you two are the least of my concerns now. But I do have to tell you this,I didn't enjoy seeing your weaknesses, not at all" I replied honestly

She shook her head and smiled bitterly "I don't believe you,and I wouldn't ever do so." She turns to leave before stopping in her tracks and turned to me again "And Ummulkhairi, stay cautious, I might just do something bad to you,or trigger something back. You'll never know,just don't let your guards down,it wouldn't be fun if I had to strike and you have no tricks up your sleeve now would it?" and with that she left me with my own thoughts. What does she mean?

The past week so far had been eventful. Totally not what I expected at all. Family,family,family everything has to do with my family,it's so frustrating!.

Thank God I still I have some pair of clothes in Ayaan's room where we had stayed when I was out of hospital after my incident. I changed into a pair of Grey Abaya kimono designed with a touch of black, and  with a black veil rolled around my head.

I came out and saw Ayaan leaning on his grey Toyota Highlander XLE 2019 looking as dashing as always.

He stood up straight when I approached him and gave me his million dollar smile that made my heart melt,what did I ever did to deserve such a man as my husband, indeed I'm thankful to my parents for their choice of spouse for me and to Allah for giving me Ayaan in my life.

"What happened?" I asked

"Nothing, we're going out" he held my hand and dragged me into the car. I saw his personal driver,Jackson, already in the car.

"Good afternoon ma'am" Jackson said

"God afternoon Jack" I replied

"Ayaan,I haven't told anyone I'm leaving yet,there's still people in the house" I said to Ayaan when the car started moving to who knows where

"Relax,it's fine they know" he replied and I gave up. I pouted making him chuckle, he pinch my cheeks lightly before kissing my cheeks making me giggle

"Where are we going to?" I asked again

"That's for me to know,and you to find out" he shrugged

"Fine" he wouldn't tell me even if I pleaded.

Some minutes later,I saw we were at the airport. Jackson opened the door for us and we walked out hand in hand.

"Ayaan what are we doing here?" I asked as we walked to his private jet

"I'm taking you away for the meantime. You deserve a break from all the drama,and Louritta packed your bags already so don't worry about that"

"when did you plan this?"

"Since we were in Kano"

"What about work?" I asked again

"I'm the boss,so it's alright,and I've already informed the hospital too,so don't worry" he replied and I nodded walking up the stairs to the jet.

We walked inside his jet and sat down. The flight attendant
brought us some refreshment while Ayaan and I talked about a a lot of things and enjoyed the moment. Afterwards, he had to do some work,to cover up ahead just in case so I brought out my phone and plugged in my earpiece and played Shawn Mendes' song 'I know what you did last summer'

After hours of chatting,sleeping,playing games,cuddling, laughing, we're finally here.

Bali,Indonesia.

One of Ayaan's driver,Harold,picked us up before driving to the outskirts of town to a beautiful resort.

"Wow,this is place is so beautiful" I said staring at the place in awe

"Umh I've seen better" Ayaan shrugged

"Oh did you now?, where exactly?" I challenged him raising a brow

"Not where but who" he corrected and I felt my blood boiled

"Go on,who is it?" I gritted out. If this is what you call jealousy then I'm jealous, so much. Who is she?, how does she look like?, from which family is she?

"The woman standing in front of me" he replied looking at me directly in the eyes

I melted at his word. I bitted my lip to stop me from smiling. But I couldn't stop and I grinned widely hiding my face in his chest making him chuckle while he wrapped his arms around me.

"You were jealous,admit it.And a jealous Khairi wasn't a good sight" he said making me blush.

"Fine I was jealous, so what?" I crosses my arm pulling back from the embrace.

He slung his arm around my shoulder giving me teasing look "she admitted it,she was jealous. Awww,don't worry baby,I've only got eyes on you,you alone. My world begins and ends with you everything of mine that I own is yours,I'm yours,and we'll always be together, now and always no matter what" he said and kissed my forehead

"You know I love you right?" I said lost in the moment,that beautiful moment

"Well duh,who else would you love?" And he ruined the moment, again.

"God you're unbelievable!!" I walked in ahead of him angrily huffing leaving him behind

"I love you too!!!" He shouted behind me before running to me.

Can everyday be just like this?, Just me and him?, I can never get enough of him,ever!.

I wrapped my blue scarf loosely around my head,it's just I and Ayaan anyway.

After settling in. We took a shower and we're now going out for dinner which was set outside the resort. I was dressed in a white maxi dress with blue flower designs and a light touch of red roses designs too. I paired it up with some blue stiletto.
I didn't bother wearing any makeup because I know Ayaan doesn't like it and neither do I. So,I only applied a little lip gloss, and me being the selfie freak I am,took a quick of myself before walking out with my phone in hand.

I walked to the living room where I saw a stick note on the glass center table and that beautiful cursive handwriting I'll recognize anywhere, it was Ayaan's.

Under the shinning moon of the night where the stars shine bright,through the glowing path,at the end of the way,I'll be waiting for you...

I smiled widely and walked out to the beach side.

There was a path,the sides are candles lit with rose petals in the shapes of two hearts besides it leading to the end where there was a table.

I walked towards it admiring how beautiful it was till I reached the table and I gasped.

Did I say were having dinner?

This isn't any normal dinner,it was a candle light dinner with a romantic setup,a really beautiful one.

Two arms wrapped around me,and I didn't need to turn to know who it was.

"What do think?" Ayaan asked

"It's really beautiful, so beautiful" I replied in awe

"It's not as beautiful as you my wife" he replied kissing my neck

"Thank you" I whispered

"You're welcome,now let's eat" he held my hand and placed a light kiss on both before directly me to my chair where I sat and he sat on his chair too.

The waiter came,we ordered our food and some drinks which he later brought for us. We ate,laughed and chatted. Turns out Ayaan booked the entire resort for as long as we'll stay,it's just us now.

After we we're done eating,Ayaan stood up and walked towards me and offered me his hand

"May I have this dance beautiful lady?" He asked

I looked at him puzzled but nevertheless smiled "Sure handsome" I replied smiling

And sudden,out of nowhere Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud was played and we slowly danced to it looking into each others eyes smiling. And at a point, we were both singing the song too.

"What about that star?" I asked pointing to a bright shinning star at the sky

"It's still not as bright as that one" Ayaan replied pointing to another star.

I hummed nodding my head "this feels so good" I said snuggling more into Ayaan.

We were currently lying on the brach sand staring at the sky. Ayaan had one arm wrapped around my waist while my head is on his arm. His fingers intertwined with mine. The place is  just so quiet and peaceful.

"Yes it is" he replied kissing my forehead.

"Amor,I have to be honest" I said gaining his attention

"What is it baby?" He asked concerned

"I'd never thought we'll ever be like this" I said gesturing between us

"Like what?"

"Us,happily married, in love and a future with each other. I never thought it'll ever happened. I remembered when I was told we we're getting married,I wasn't haply nor sad at first,but then again,I thought it'll never work out since you mostly do nothing other than annoy me at that time" I admitted making him chuckle

"Those were some good days" he replied sighing

"Are you kidding me? Good?,you were like the most annoying person I've ever met at that time" I said frustrated remembering the time when he used to annoy me.

He shrugged laughing lightly "Things have changed, but to be honest I liked annoying you,it was funny"

"I bet you do" I rolled my eyes playfully.

He laughed harder this time wrapping both arms around me."I did,but now, I love making you happy more. I love having you by my side at all times,and the days I've spent so far with you in my life we're the best, you're my everything Khairi"

I smiled genuinely "The time I've spent with you are the best too to me,every single minute of it,every fight,every happy moment,every smile,every tear,every sad moment,every time that I lost you,every kiss,every hug, just everything. It's more than I could ever imagined in my life,and I'm more than happy to have you as my husband Ayaan. I love you so much" I said looking into his eyes that shine under the glowing full moon.

"I love you more Khairi" and with that we sealed our fate, just Us.
