Chapter 8
Valka
As Stoick and I waited for our son to return, Stoick seems to still be in total amazement.
"What? Is something wrong, Stoick?" I asked the Chief of Berk with a curious expression on my face.
He said, "I can't believe that you were alone for sixteen long years, taking care of the Bewilderbeast and these wild Dragons.
It seems incredible."
I blushed, twisting a bit of my braided hair, "You really think so? I know it is seems odd."
He touched my hand, "No, it's not odd, Val. It caught me by surprise, mostly for Hiccup. Wait, did he told you about what happened to him, about being-"
"The Dragon Prince? Yes, he did actually. I can't believe it after what I've seen for sixteen years." I finished his sentence.
"Well, I couldn't be any more happier that you're back alive, Aunt Valka." Snoutlout said, "Still having doubts about what I've suggested?"
I bit my lip. I haven't fully decided of coming back to Berk after all of these years.
As I saw Hic, he transforms from his brown Night Fury form to his human form, which is still trying to get use to.
"Hey, Mom, Hey, Dad." He greets us.
"Hiccup, you went off somewhere, why?" Astrid asks curiously.
"Well, I have something I had to do." He explains.
Hiccup
I flew as far from the Sanctuary. It felt really weird of having both of my parents back after what happened with Toothless and me.
I also figured that I should let my parents some privacy since it has been sixteen long years since they were together before Mom was taken by Cloudjumper.
As I flew, I stumbled into an isle I never thought I would expect to see.
Beskerian Isle. The home of the Beskerians, but it also the home of my friends I've befriend when I was flying alone, which Dad would never thought it was possible.
As I landed, I saw them. Dagur and Heather, the children of Oswald, the Chief of the Beskerian Tribe.
"Hiccup!" Dagur greets me, giving me a handshake, "I didn't expect you to visit us! You could've sent a terror mail."
"Sorry, Dagur. I was going to use the element of surprise on you and your sister. How does Heather feel about Oswald not being here? I've read that letter that he was dead."
Dagur sigh, "Not too good. She was so hopeful of seeing Dad, to give her all the answers she needs. To learn about herself, where she comes from."
I nod, knowing that having Toothless inhabited my body the past year, made my life different, very different because I was the Dragon Prince.
"I totally understand of how it feels to be in her shoes." I replied.
"Really?" Heather asks, which I jumped, in total surprise.
"H-Heather, Hi!" I stammered. It was a good thing that Toothless isn't here to see that. He would try to set us up on a date, even though I like Astrid.
I said, "It's all right to feel strange, not knowing who you suppose to be. Trust me, Heath, things aren't always as they seem to be."
Dagur and Heather seems to be confused. "What you mean by that, Hic? I thought you sailed here."
I realized that they haven't heard the events happened the last year.
"Promise that you guys wouldn't freak out." I said.
Using my Dragon Prince powers , I turned into my Night Fury self, which causes both Vikings to fall down.
I was embarrassed as I turn back into my human form.
"Like I said, things don't appear as they seem." I said.
So I told them everything including about my powers I've gained as the Dragon Prince.
"Whoa. You really were insane. I mean killing the Dragon Queen and nearly got you and Toothless killed? Man, that's so-" Heather started to say.
"Insane, intense, reckless, and stupid? Yeah, I get that a lot lately. But I still have a lot to learn about my powers.
I still wonder what a Dragon Prince was suppose to do. Sometimes I still wish we still share the same body so he can give me advice." I sigh.
"Hey, you're not alone. You got us, the Riders, even your best friend to figure all of this out." Heather wink.
I managed a smile.
"Thanks, guys. I'm glad that I have friends like you. Oh, man! I have to go. Stoick and my mother, I mean... my parents... would be wondering where I am."
"No worries. If we saw Drago Bludvist and his army, we'll give you a letter straight away." Dagur said, giving me a thumbs up.
"Thanks, guys." I said as I flew back to Mom's Sanctuary.
Astrid ask, "Where did you go?"
I said, "Well, I have something I need to do."
Toothless asks, "Hiccup, can we talk? Alone?"
Toothless and I went to the other side of the den, which reminds me of when Toothless and I still share a body.
"All right, Spill." He said, "Something is on your mind, Hic. I'm your best friend."
I sighed, Toothless does know something was on my mind, because we have a strong bond.
"I am worried, bud. I know I'm the Dragon Prince, protector of Viking and Dragons world. I don't want to loose all of our friends we made, finding my parents..."
Toothless said, "Hiccup, I know it's a lot to take in, but you have this ability for a reason. In time, we will know what the true meaning that Aiden gave us to be together."
I knew he was right.
But something tells me that there is more than I realize.
