Hiccup

I groan in pain, as I woken up to see I was in a familiar place. It was Gothi's hut, so basically I guess that I must've pass out. 

Wait! What happened to Drago and the Alpha? Is Berk ok?

As I get up from the bed, Toothless and Astrid was there as Astrid was in total relief that I was awoken up. 

"Oh, Hic!" She said, as she walks towards me and I was pretty overwhelmed with confusion . 

"Astrid? Why you and Toothless are here in Gothi's hut? Were you waiting for me to be awake this whole time?" I asked the young Viking in a serious tone. 

The black Night Fury rolls his eyes at me, "You really have us worried. But I knew that you'll do great as the new alpha ." 

I was in total shock and disbelief as I was trying to grasp of what the Night Fury had told me. I defeated the Alpha, the leader of dragons, with my Dragon Prince abilities. 

"I really did it, didn't I?" I asked as Astrid nodded, "Yeah, it was incredible , I never seen anything like that since you and Toothless defeated the Dragon Queen." 

I sighed, but I looked at Astrid's metal leg. I can't believe that I actually used my plasma blast on her, and she has to live it as a reminder for the rest of her life. 

"Hiccup?" She asks me as she seems to be concerned about my well-being. 

I realize something that I was feeling , that I never thought it was possible. 

I reached towards her and I knew that this is the perfect time to confess to her of how I truly felt towards the young Viking. 

"Astrid.. there is something I wanted to tell you since the beginning. " I said to her as Astrid was confused by my words and Toothless seems to understand what I was going to tell her, so , the black night fury went to give us some privacy .

I was confused of Hiccup's actions. But then I remembered what Cami said to me before I went to Gothi's hut. 

"Hiccup likes you. " 

I thought in my mind, "Oh,  my thor. Is he... confessing to me right now?" 

Hiccup turns serious, "Astrid..  There was a time that you spoke to me, but I didn't listen. It was when I was five, and you tried to help me. 

Do you remember?"

I nodded, "I do. You were looking for a light -blue stone and you were so angry of trying to find it so badly, you eventually gave up . Why you ask?"

He begin to smile a bit as he reaches his back pocket, "I found it, when Mom and I were on our way to save Berk. I wanted to surprise you. " 

The stone was beautiful and shiny as ever as I noticed it was knotted like a necklace. 

"Hic, why was the stone looked like a necklace?" I ask. 

"It is because the stone is meant as a gift . I wanted to give it to you sooner, but with things had happened year ago, I never had the change to. " 

He places the necklace around my neck as I turned around, "Astrid, you were the one who knew about me being the Dragon Prince since the beginning, you stood by me, no matter what or the dangers may come our way. " 

"Hiccup, what you saying right now?" I asked the sixteen year old boy. 

He took a deep breath before he can say anything else, like if his whole world has been shifted. 

Then he spoke the words that make my heart skip a beat. 

"Astrid, I love you. Not as a friend. " He said. 

I leaned forward towards him, as he looks into my eyes as I surprised him with a kiss. 

He was in total silence and in total shock by the sudden kiss as I finally let go of him, I replied tearfully, "I .. I love you too, hic. I'm so sorry that i took so long to tell you how I felt. I guess sixteen years took us long us long enough to become a couple huh?"

He chuckles, "I guess so. Wait a sec, Astrid? How I ended up in Gothi's hut anyway?"

I said, "Well, after the battle with the Alpha, you immediately collapse , and your parents suggested to take you to Gothi's hut so you can recover." 

Hiccup rubs his head, "Really? I didn't mean to cause the entire village to be worried about my well-being. " 

"Well, it took you a lot of time to recover , because of the transformations between dragon and human. It would make sense you needed a lot of rest because of it." 

Hic said, "I guess. So, we should go to the others, so they know I'm all right, and... there is a new power I've discovered recently with my Dragon Prince abilities too. " 

As we went off to see them, Hiccup was in total shock with seeing his own cousin holding hands with Camicazi. 

"What in the name of Thor?" Hiccup exclaimed as Toothless laughs of his reaction. 

Snoutlout and Camicazi seems to be totally happy with each other, as I cleared my throat that cause the gang to be amazed of Hiccup finally awoke. 

"Hic! You're up!" Snoutlout said, smiling and be in total relief that his cousin was all right as Hiccup puts his hands to his hips, "Since when you and Cami get together? "

"Um... yeah, Cami was the one who kissed me in the Great Hall and we've been together since then." Snoutlout said casually as Hic blinks, trying to wrap his head around it. 

Fishlegs said, "Don't worry, Hiccup. You're not the only person who was in shock of this happening. " 

"So, what happens now? I mean, Hiccup is now the Alpha of Dragons. Is it more responsibilities than being the Dragon Prince?" Tuffnut asks curiously. 

"I am still the Dragon Prince, but as the Alpha, I still have to mantain peace between Dragon and Vikings. It's my duty." Hiccup said, "And we need to go to the Cove. I want to show you something." 

Snoutlout seems to know what he is thinking. "Hiccup, you're not seriously going to show them that, aren't you?"

"I think it's all right for them to know now, cousin. Trust me on this." He said, as Snoutlout sweats nervously, "Why do I get this awful feeling that you'll not listen to me no matter what I say? " 

Hiccup laughs at his cousin, as if this was common reaction , like when the gang first heard that he was the Dragon Prince.

I took a deep breath, because I wanted to show the gang of my fire -throwing ability perfectly , since I became Alpha. 

Toothless seems to be not surprised of that I was going to show them this ability right off the bat. 

"You're really going to show it off, aren't you? I mean, you just had an enormous battle with the Alpha remember?"

  I looked at the black Night Fury, "Toothless, don't worry about it. I'll be fine. I think I can harness a little bit of this ability. " 

Camicazi raises her hand, "You guys just talked, right? I don't understand any of it. What you say to Toothless?"

"Oh, it's about what I show to you. Snoutlout already knows about it, so he's not going to be shocked as you are." I replied as the gang looked at the Viking with a curious expression on their faces. 

Snoutlout raises his hands, "It's not my fault that he showed it to Hookfang and me! I was stunned when I saw it. " 

I looked at the river across the Cove as I turned to the group, "You have to watch this. " 

I raised my hand and made a small plasma blast appear in front of it so they could see. 

Their eyes widen of seeing the plasma blast coming into my hand. 

"Whoa, Hic." Fishlegs said, "I didn't know you could do that!" 

"Well, that is not the only thing, Fishlegs." I replied to him as I threw it across the lake as it makes it to the other side, leaving the teens speechless as I clenched the flame out . 

The gang was silent for a long time, as I looked at them. 

"Guys?" I asked the teens as Astrid said, "That's totally unbelievable! I never thought that as the Dragon Prince have amazing powers!"

"Uh, thanks, but now as the Alpha, things are going to be a lot harder than being a chief." I warned them. 

Suddenly, Snoutlout punched me on the shoulder, "Hiccup , you really haven't learnt anything from the past year?

We're going to be by your side, no matter what life throws at us. " 

"You really sure you guys are alright with this? With this new change?" I ask nervously at the teens. 

Emily chuckles at me, as if I was a hatchling. 

"Hiccup, Snoutlout has a point. You've changed for the sake of the village and yourself.  You can do this, I believe in you." 

I was amazed at the light-blue Nadder. She was right. She was the one I trusted when my true destiny as the Dragon Prince began. 

Now I have to accept of being the Alpha of Dragons and peacemaker of Vikings and Dragons for good.
