It was the afternoon and everyone was gathered like the professor ordered. Elizabeth rolled her eyes and sighed when she saw Jak's disheveled look. "You could've tried to cover up the lipstick and hickeys Jak. I get that the sex you had was good, but your appearance is too disheveled for our newcomer. And you reek of cigs!" Jak groaned before he replied with a "Do I look like I give a fuck?!" Elizabeth sighed in defeat. There was no convincing him sometimes, and this was one of those times. 

  Jak and Eren were introduced to the new guy and then the mission briefing started. The professor cleared his throat and started. "As most of you all know. Last time we failed to destroy a fellow company that betrayed us and took fifty percent of our money stock. This time we need to weed them out before we suffer any damages. We tried hacking in with Giorna's help, but we were caught off guard by the air tight firewalls they had,"  Everyone nodded.

"All right! Jak and Eren you two will be in charge of infiltrating their company and mind you your mission might take years to complete. But our best chance is infiltrating it from the inside. Because attacking it from the outside didn't work last time" "Now you'll have to lay low for a while before you actually do anything" "There's a good chance that they're anticipating this, so you'll need to be very careful"  The company relocated to another remote place but thanks to Giorna's hacking we've found where" Giorna blushed at the applause and smiled. 

  The professor continued. "Their coordinates are *REDACTED*"  "The two of you can get going after preparing the necessities" "I trust you know what to pack by now?"  "Yes we do!" Jak and Eren reply simultaneously. "Keep in mind you can't do this on your own! Giorna will be hacking into their system to help you get in easier, the rest will be up to you"  "All right you may go" With the Professor's words the two left to prepare and Giorna went to her room to start hacking company X, in order to help the two. The professor turned to the rest of the team. "Elizabeth. I suggest you keep working on finding the target of your mission. 

  I hope you don't fail me" Elizabeth bowed and left as well. It was just the new boy Aiden and Lavender.  "Lavender I don't have anything for you for now" "But you should keep your guard up, as there's a good chance we'll need you to torture info out of someone" "Someone from elizabeth's mission or Jak and Eren's mission"  Lavender nodded. The professor knelt down and smiled, while patting Aiden's head and said to him, "Aiden there's a chance that Jak and Aiden will be injured when they come back, so I'd like for you to treat them" 

  "You specialize in anything injury or medical related right?" The young boy nodded. The professor wore a serious look. "Are you fine with it?" he asked. The boy nodded and spoke, surprising the professor and Lavender. "I'm used to seeing anything gory or bloody, so I'll be fine" "thank you for the concern" The professor smiled and hugged him then said, "You're welcome!" Lavender pouted and pounced on the two and complained. "I want a hug too!" The professor chuckled and hugged her too. "Jealous much?" he asked. She nodded.

The professor let go of the two and said he needed to go back to his office to await phone calls from colleagues and if they needed him they could always come there. The two were left alone by him and looked at each other in silence. Lavender shrugged. "Alright boy, since you and I have nothing to do... want to watch tv?" He nodded and followed her to the living room. Almost like a baby duck to a momma duck.

The boy looked small and lost. Lavender read his mind and told him it'll be ok. That he'll eventually get used to it and they're all family and will protect him. The boy smiled at that and he felt warm.
