A FEW DAYS LATER

(Brandon POV)

After our elongated hospital stay, we were discharged and given a ride to the airport where we flew back to my house in Florida. Lexi led me to my bedroom gingerly helped me onto my bed.

"Thanks again for helping me home Lex... I don't know what I'd do without you."

"Awe..."

She gingerly hugged me as she got down on her knees next to the bed.

"No problem. It's the least I could do for a guy like you."

I blushed a little after that. She always new how to make me feel better.

"Well... looks like we'll both be out of action for a while huh..."

She sighed.

"Yep... a while..."

She looked out the window at the beautiful day out.

"Hey... I know we're technically not going anywhere now... but, maybe in few days would you like to-"

"Of course I would like to go with you to Disney land are you kidding. You've kinda got me hooked on that place. Absolutely yes.

I could then see tears of joy streaming down her face as we hugged for a while before chilling out and watching "Cars" one of my favorite Disney movies before both drifting off with her head on my shoulder.

A FEW DAYS LATER

That morning, I woke up to various Disney princess movies being played and sighed knowing that she woke up first. I then decided to fight back with my own brand of Disney flair.

I used my Bluetooth speaker that I kept away from her under my bed.

She was in the bathroom doing  her make for the big trip blasting what I believe was music from the "Ariel" movie. I soon made my move. The music started, as she turned hers off and looked towards where I was. As the song reached the drop, I pulled an undertaker and did his signature sat up before looking at her and going along with the song.

She laughed almost uncontrollably from what she saw in-front of her. She even took out her phone and put me on her insta story. I cut the music off and joined in.

"Well... that's one way to get up!"

She said still giggling a little.

"Yeah? I mean today is the day that we go to Disney right, so I had to make an impact."

"Good point, Alright I'll give you that one."

I soon get up and start getting ready for the day. Since the hospital stay I've been in rehab learning how to walk because of the attack. I was making progress, but I needed crutches to walk around on in the meantime. Luckily for me, I knew a guy that could make custom graphics for crutches, crazy right, and I used those ever since.

As I got my old NXT merch shirt on and the jeans to follow, we went to the garage and she drove us to our destination of choice. Disneyland.

While we were there, we got on an insane amount of rides throughout the day along with taking pics for her social media.

We even stayed to see one of the special fireworks presentations they have before heading home. Honestly the day went pretty good. We got to spend some valuable time together, forget about the past, and move forward to the future... our future.

But when we got home and Lex went to bed, I sat on the floor in my room with my back supported by the bed reminiscing about what had happened over the last few months. I usually have one of my favorite pictures of me and Becky back in the day with her NXT championship and my NXT title from our first year in the wwe. I nearly tear up as memories flash through my head. Knowing that she is now with Lex's ex just felt weird.

Little did I know, Lex woke up to get something to drink from the fridge. My assumption was she saw the light on from my room and came to check on me.

"Hey... you ok?"

"Yeah... Y-yeah I'm good."

I sighed as she sat down next to me with her arm around my shoulder. She took a look at the picture I was holding, and then at my face and hugged me.

"Hey... I know you two were close. That was the same with me and Murph. Now look at them. Look what they presumably did to us. I know deep down that you still care for her, I doubt she can say the same. I also know what they did is eating you up inside. Now... we fight back. I just got off the phone with Shane and we got ourselves a feud with those two traitors. What do ya say?

A new determination started to course through my veins as she extended her fist out for a fist bump. It took me a minute to think things through but I soon accepted her gesture and we hugged.

"Thank you."

"No problem."
